[Q] how to install titanium backup on desire S - HTC Desire S

Hello All,
I checked forum but could not find solution anywhere so thought to start tread and take help from experts. I was using HD2 (Nandroid) for last year and now got new handset Desire S before sending off phone back to T-mobile I had backed up all apps and data through titanium backup and now when I am installing titanium backup I am getting root permission error. Can anyone guide me what I should be doing to install this app please?
Many thanks in advance and sorry if I have missed this question on any other forum search.

You'll need to root your phone in order to use these applications, to do this you'll need to s off the phone.
Which means using an xtc clip device or waiting until software soff is made, read forum further if any of this doesn't make sense there are many other posts covering these subjects.

Basically you need to root for that...
For rooting you need your Desire S to be S Off...
So if it is you can root using gingerbreak or superoneclick...
If your not that lucky...welll just wait till alpharevx comes up with a way to S Off our cells...
Else XTC Clip is always there if you wanna risk your warranty...

Thank you
I guess will have to wait

[Q] Unrevoked3 not working - other rooting options?

Hey there!
I post here because the guys at htcdesireforum.com told me to. You can read my problem-thread there at:
goo[dot]gl/pTsrw (sry for not linking it, but the spam prevention stops me from doing it )
A month ago i rooted my Desire using unrevoked3 and everything worked out fine. I rooted it to try out oxygen 2 (RC7). But because in this version my cam did not work i switched back to stock froyo and unrooted it (with this official-image-flash program htc offers).
Now i want to root it again, but unrevoked3 wont recognize my phone now. I checked the drivers and everything and imho they are just as they should be - what other options for rooting do i have?
HBOOT 0.93.(some zeroes)1
Thanks in Advance,
Dacollo
sry, i just read the "read before posting"-thingy
I failed
Can anybody tell my where else i should post this/and maybe move the thread?

[Q] {Forgive Me} Rooting HTC Desire S

Ok so first off I'm a complete noob. Just need to make that clear.
I want to root my HTC Desire S so it is able to read Arabic. So for, the internet has let me down... There isn't one rooting tool that works, and that's either due to a missing file ("AdbWinApi.dll"), or something to do with the HBOOT version (2.00.0002).
This is just one big shout for help
I have no idea what to do
Thanks

[Completed] need help to use WPBackup

Hi,
I'm trying to backup my samsung omnia7 phone with WPBackup in order to put the latest Dynamics ROM on it.
(I want to keep my sms history, contacts, custom settings, apps...)
I've already installed all prerequisites on my W7x64 computer and my device is a stock and fully updated omnia7, interop unlocked and with WP7 root tools.
My problem is that i can't connect my phone to WMDC, it always says "not connected", so that's why WPBackup stays unable to see my phone, i guess.
Could anyone tell me how to reach my goal, please ?
Hi,
Having never done this myself I would suggest to go to the windows phone 7 q&a section and ask your question there. I'm sure many will be able to give you the help needed.
Best of luck!

[Completed] [Q] Unlocked HTC One m7 update

I recently bought an unlocked att htc one m7 and am currently using it on tmobile. After messing with the apn settings i got all the data and mms working, but i still cant figure out how to upgrade it. I downloaded the RUU from htc and tried running that but whenever it starts up the bootloader i will get an error and it will say usb malfunction and then nothing. I also tried to load the rom itself onto the phones root, but when i boot in recovery mode i will select to flash from internal and it will quickly load a few short lines of code that go too fast to read (i think it says failed) and then reboot instantly. Ive been at this for hours and cant find this particular problem anywhere. If anyone can help me, i just want the normal unmodded updates without unlocking my bootloader or turning s-off. Im running android 4.1.2 currently

No problem. That's what XDA Assist is for. We're here to point you in the right direction. There is a lot of good information in that forum. Just take your time and read a lot and in no time you'll feel much more comfortable. Good luck!
