Holiday.
Though that nexus could be interesting. I don't know how much I like the idea of the separate menu buttons being made software-based, though. 5mp camera, though they say its "advanced 5mp" is still 5mp. Resolution of images will still be that of a 5mp camera, no matter how "advanced" it is otherwise.
Samsung = FAIL. Never again.
I was going for the Sensation over the GSII because I hate the physical home button. But with all the U.S. carriers likely having their own slightly tweaked version, it very well could be without it . In this case, I'm going with the GSII (I like the extra ram it has vs. the Sensation). If AT&T's version looks like the current version that everyone has, I'm going with the Sensation (an unlocked one from Canada or something - for use with AT&T's bands).

Oh, me too. If the op question had been "which of these phones are you going to dump your inspire for and pay off contract," I'd have answered just as you did.
By the time my full upgrade comes around, there'll be some new bomb-ass HTC phone on ATT. But this time, I have a phone that will keep me going until that upgrade comes...
Unlike the circumstances that brought me to this inspire...
Blew my upgrade on a captivate 2 months before the inspire came out.
I got an upgrade available in December, the day after Christmas. I'm watching for the HTC Holiday.
EDIT: Paid off-contract price for this on Feb 27th. This phone will definitely hold me over til my upgrade, and then hello Holiday!

Sold my Inspire not too long ago (I fell prey to the allure of the dual core Motorola Atrix).
Worst... decision... EVER!!!
Although it had the dual core it actually felt slower and more clunky overall than the Inspire. I was running GingerBlur which helped as it basically removed MotoBlur but itstill felt like a real step backwards. HDMI was kind of a novelty although I never used it. The only thing in Moto's favour was battery life. For me, I prefer quality over quantity .
Krisbo
If u read up on this matter, specifically other inspire owners doing the same thing, you would have an overwhelming amount of first hand accounts coming to the same conclusion... the atrix is a fail of a phone and its not worth it. Specs doesn't make the phone. It's the overall experience that does. Some people have to find out the hard way I guess. My advice... switch back to the inspire.

Currently, the HTC Inspire is hands down the best phone ATT has on there list. If your an Apple Fan then the Iphone 4 is probably what you want.
But in all honesty, I would wait for the HTC Holiday to launch. Talked to an HTC rep the other day that said the phone would be available on the ATT Market by the end of the year at the latest.
I would wait for the HTC Holiday/Inspire HD
I would also wait for the htc holiday. However if i had to upgrade it would be the nexus s

I would get an Atrix. No offense to anyone in this section, but it runs better than my Inspire did.

Hopefully they will be better than the Galaxy S was, though that might be setting the bar a bit too low.......
I would hang on and wait for the next gen phones due out later this year, maybe a dual core model.
Honestly, I would either wait for the iPhone 5 to hit the shelves (or wait for the masses of idiots waiting in line to buy one to move out), or wait for the Holiday to come out. Depends on which OS you prefer, but those would be top end for iOS and Android respectively
I previously had a Vibrant, and loved it. Unfortunately I had a pretty intense water accident with it (sat in a jacuzzi for 10 min before realizing it was in my pocket). I am eligible for an upgrade and am torn on phones. I have to get a phone by the 25th, so I can't wait for the Hercules, so I'm wondering, should I look at the Sensation, SGS4G or G2X?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
I would get a Sensation 4G. G2X has to many problems, and the SGS4G is kinda dated.
Sensation. Easily the best choice. Dual core, 768mb RAM, great looks, reasonable battery life, great overclock.
G2x. All of em are good now!

Not just screen size. A higher resolution than most. Being rooted is exploding atm, new **** everyday. Htc can make a phone, that's for sure.

G2X is not a bad phone--the hardware is definitely not lacking and it's running near-vanilla android! BUT the software's been known to be plagued with crippling bugs. If you know you're going to be flashing over CM7 or some other ROM, then G2X wouldn't be a bad choice.
Sensation is overall more stable and better built, but perhaps not as zippy (unless you again flash custom ROMs)

IMO the sensation really isn't anything special. The screen on it sucks and its not that fast for it being a dual core phone. I played with the epic touch gs2 yesterday....and now that's a phone to drool over. That right now is the only phone out that's worth an upgrade from the mt4g. Again this is just my opinion.

I've heard some bad things about the Sensation, but I think the sluggish speed is caused by the async Snapdragon that Qualcomm made. Both CPUs won't be on unless they're both needed and I'm guessing that doesn't work really good in Gingerbread, so perhaps on 1 core is active. When the Exynos or Tegra 2 the cores are both on all the time, so they should be faster, although they still clock up and down as normal. The screen in lacking, but it's no S/Amoled or IPS or Retina. HTC doesn't really produce nicer screens like the competition, they use S-LCD or LCD in their phones, not sure if they have any other tech ATM.
Well, I can agree on this. I've never been a fan of MyTouch models, but T-Mo forced me. I've been from a T-Mo G1 (Dream), to a T-Mo G2 (Desire Z), then to a samsung Galaxy S 4g and when it got stolen, the assurant would only leave me with a MyTouch 4g. Really can't compare the screen, but hey, I'm more than pleased. I'm quite impressed this phone doesn't have that much of a great feedback from T-Mo. :/ Oh well.
Yeah I've had a bunch, came from an epic and I have to say this phone is good stock. Unity is boss though. Omfg.

Totally happier with this one. SGS4G relied TOO MUCH on the screen~ and it was just annoying sometimes. I got used to physical buttons because of my last phones, so I felt like using an iPhone not an Android. And besides, the SGS4G's front facing camera was just sad.

Sorry was it hard for you to comprehend?
DhD = Desire HD (GSM)
TB = Thunderbolt (CDMA)
2GS = Second Generation Spandragon
So technically Inspire HD (GSM-US) is equivalent of Desire HD (GSM-EU). Since we real pro die hard SmartPhone user know HTC owns Moto and SamSUX, so that's another subject of its own.
Now the point I was making is as you being home user you yourself do not need or dual core mCPU yet. So MT4G is same spec as Thunderbolt (yes I'm aware of the screen and nand diff). Thus last of its kind not failed attempt to upgrade us to dual core when Android framework so far utilizing only cpu0 as cpu1 thread is most not used as OS and App is not using it yet.

Most likely, never had the chance to check. The phone got stolen a month after bought so I could barely play around with it. It's not usual of me to root a phone the same day I get it; I stay with root for a few days, and in this case, a month. Now with the MT4G, no way I was gonna stay with stock for a month, no way. |: hahaha.

My thoughts exactly
I just want an HTC phone with build quality like the Inspire, HD resolution, dual core and a decent sized battery. I love the specs on the Galaxy Nexus but I will never buy another Samsung product.
I heard a while back about an "Inspire HD". I think it was on Android Central. I've never seen anything else about it, though.
