Battery Percentage... - HTC Sensation

Anyone know how to get the battery percentage to show on status bar, or is that a future tweak we need to wait for? I loved that tweak on my old HD2. Thanks for any help.

Believe u need root for this couse u need to edit the framework But once we get it should come pretty quick!

use circular battery indicator (no root required)
its free

I use Overcharged in the market, you have to pull down notification bar, but it will show you a percentage.

I use "Battery Indicator" from the market. The free version does what you need.

The T-Mobile "My Phone" app also shows percentage, but it takes a couple of clicks.

Battery Percentage
Battery Indicator on the market works for me. )

You guys can't copy the framework.res yet? :-( that sucks. Once you have root access you can cook up a nice theme or just change the battery indicator in like 2 minutes on the kitchen.

You can also install Fancy Widget and there's an option that you can show the battery percentage in the clock widget (small or large), it looks like the HTC flip clock and there are many nice skins for it
Examples:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The battery percentage will be next to the date i.e. Fri Jun 17 (99%)

I usually input *#*#4636#*#* and go to battery information to see my battery percentage

Zdbox gives you battery percentage along with some other useful things, like unistaller, task killer etc.

I have used "Battstatt" widget from the Market, it's a widget with TEXT for the percentage. Very customizable.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed it but every since I use the lock screen pattern when I charge my phone it shows me the percentage. i just recently found out.

Surprised no one's mentioned Batteryminder. Displays the battery percentage in the top left of notification bar. Can pick between a few display styles. Plus, it stays in the notification drop down, tells you how much time is left with current percentage, plus some more features.

i'm having problems finding the ones you're talking about in the nexus one forums..
KSPEC Monster has that icon for battery but be warned it will change a lot on your ROM more than just themeing the icon.

you can unzip kspecs monster, extract the framework-res.apk and push it to your /system/framework. will give you the battery icon without messing with your rom....
Look for BattGrn_statBarBlkXML.zip on the Nexus one section and use Metamorph to apply it and you will get the battery Icon you want. I did so and it worked perfectly:
how do you get the % to show up though?
thanks
Unfortunately I have not found one with that.
Can someone with more expertise give any guidance on how to apply metamorphs from the nexus forums to the Evo? I thought I was doing everything right, but the battery percentage still isn't showing up...just the graphics.
The Battery portion isnt available on the EVO it would seem, it is on the Nexus one by simply using SpareParts, however there is no option for this in the SpareParts on the EVO.
BakedSnack ROM has that battery icon for the EVO. It has some other modified icons as well, but all are nice.
Be warned though that if might have side effects with whatever ROM you are running if you move the resource file, such as location bar indicator above Rosie if you are using Espresso Rosie.

Fightspit did a great battery indicator mod:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=724778
It's been ported over to many Android phones, including the Galaxy S series.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=756627
It's a great looking and handy mod, that obviates the need for a third-party app to get an accurate reading on your charge at a glance.
Nobody with the skills has bothered with the Tab yet. Which makes me sad.

That's nice, but the one I miss is the one that replaces the stock battery icon.
Call me weird, but I hate having anything but transient notices on the left side of the status bar, or anything but transient notices showing when I pull down the notification shade.

It's a custom battery icon and you need to be rooted to get it
Battery Circle in the Market
Look for Battery Circle in the market, it is basically the same. The one in the picture is a MOD (also called Battery Circle), but you will need to have root access to your phone, which we don't have yet. I think the picture is actually of a Thunderbolt, not the Sensation.
Hope that this helps.

Is there a way to change up the Toggles in the drop down notification area?
I want to put a 'Silent' toggle and lose the airplane mode.
or
Do we have to wait to get root and ROM'd to drop the shaky phone icon.

You want this:
[MOD] 14 toggle quick panel 10/16/2011
It's working on my skyrocket, use the stock odexed rooted roms instructions.
I just installed this on my Skyrocket and its working great. I'm still stock, but rooted.
One thing did happen, but I'm not sure why. I used Root Explorer and followed the instructions, right after I dropped the SystemUI in the destination folder, I started getting Force Close messages about every 5 seconds. I pushed through them through the rest of the process, rebooted and all was good. (So Far)
Just a heads up if somebody else runs into this.

Low Battery Precautions - battery brightness missing

Hey, i just wanted to let you guys know about Note 3 low battery precautions.
I was using my phone as usual, as i noticed there was brightness slider missing from notification pull-down menu. I immediately checked under: settings-> device -> notification panel ->Brighteness adjustment and setting was checked!
As i became furious, i unchecked and checked that option but it was still missing. At that point i was really upset as this feature is VERY IMPORTANT for me (quick access to brightness). So i rebooted my phone and tryed again, no success. In panic i started checking every thing on my phone, all processes i deactivated (all share play and stuff like that i don't need etc etc...) all defaults than i tought some third party app was to blame for that (many apps can not be removed from notification pull down menu (unfortunately))...
Than i checked if i can adjust brighteness manually in display settings and when i saw that that function was gray (unusable) it hit me... i saw my battery was very low, 3% so i figured this is the reason.
Phone disables the ability to change brightness. Furthermore i couldn't use camera and my music app shuted down at 1% level...
So next time you see brightness slider missing from notification pull down meni, check your battery level... it sure made my heart beat a litle faster...
Cheers

Might not be, but it is for me since it's my first samsung smarphone.. it really grinded my gears..
My first Samsung phone also, however I would never have experienced this as I wouldn't run the battery down to anywhere near 3%.
I typically charge when down to 20 to 30% with the aim of increasing battery life
