Thank You Bamf team - Thunderbolt General

ive lurked this site for some time now and its time do say something. THANK YOU to everyone on the BAMF team. I downloaded Bamf 1.6.3 as the first and only rom and it is absolutely perfect. HTC should have built this phone and had you guys develop it to begin with. All these roms and kernals are here for us all for FREE and who knows how much countless hours these people put into it for our pleasure.

We always thank you, the users, for all of the support!
It makes what we do worth doing.

thx broseph

seems like lately you are always waiting for something... new computer... new phone! wth?!?!?!

Second this
I have to second this. I have flashed a few other ROM's but they only stay a little bit and I flash back to a BAMF ROM. I love the REMIX's but wish I could take some aspects of each and put them together.
Keep up the good work BAMF!

I too have flashed many roms but come back to the @ss barf roms, lol. Stripped v1.1 is the fastest, and best on battery that I have found.

You guys rock. Thanks for all of hard work guys.

Same here, tried them all and always run BAMF as daily. Love kernels especially, and TDB's skills.
Plz make the new toolkit for froyo too :-

Thanks from me too! You guys rock, I love these ROMs !

[Q] Possible FroYo w/Sense?

I know that the Wildfire has a different resolution than our phones, but, seeing as they are discussing porting it from the Legend, and that phone is similar to ours, can it be done?

Possible but ALOT of porting. A whole different framework.
And next time post in the right section please. THERE is a Q&A section

Just curious but would porting the new desire be easier? It seems closer to the Hero and it has 2.2 with Sense

Well brother keep on going I will try to catch up with you after work and see where your at with it maybe compare notes, I was just playing with it last night to see where we would stand with something like this. Still think the legend will be the one to port though. as the graphic work required for this alone would be a monster job.
Glad to see someone else interested in bring froyo to the hero.

Shouldn't adjusting the pixel density make the items show up correctly on screen?
It would effectively cut the resolution on our Heroes, though.
And of course, the Legend would be the easiest port, but the since it's not out yet, we have the option of making do with the Wildfire or standing pat. (Not that I'd accuse any devs of that, seeing as this port looks hard as hell).

Official Captivate Flasher Anonymous (CFAT)

I think it's getting kind of ridiculous that I flash roms 50 times a week. My wife is mad at me, and my co-workers say I just haven't been the same. I feel it's time that I startOCFAT for those of us in deep rom flashing troubles and figure out how to get our lives straightened out.
Any suggestions?
I'm just glad to learn that I am not the only person suffering from flash addiction.
My name is Splashin and I am a flashing addict.
Hello i am betadan....
At first i started flashing just to have the newest OS. But even we got official 2.2 i still found my self flashing at least once per week...
And now with Gingerbread around the corner.... We are all doomed
Flash cm7. I used to be like you, now I haven't changed roms for nearly a month and a half.
Sent from my Captivate using XDA App
i have a download jig in one hand and my cappy in the other and a spare OEM battery sitting in front of me and i dont know what im going to do with them....
lols...
and im waiting just a bit longer before i main-line some CM7. or do anyother ginger-powder....
What's the T stand for?
There's a reason I don't want to leave my Captivate. The ease of flashing and all the different options.
CM7 and GB coming too!
It is actually not funny. I flash way too much. I don't even use my phone for much other than flashing and reading about what to flash.
Cm7 looks like it is going to hols me for a bit

Add me to the CFAT list. Now monitoring the CM7 thread to make sure I don't bork anything. Don't even know why I read it. I bork things anyway.
Also, to support my flashing needs, I've been playing around with a Nook Color. Fun, but it ain't like playing with the Captivate.
CM7, CM7, CM7. Man, this can't be good for me.

Hey man, sometimes you gotta leave well enough alone.. I went flash nuts on my DX, and obviously on my TP2 (WinLame), but with my TB I have really tried to tone it back a bit. These devices are getting more and more expensive and as cool as it is to constantly customize, take advantage of new features, etc... it's still just a phone. At some point it becomes an obsession and not jumping on GB like the masses, I have every right to be glad. It was worth a share anyway, I can't possibly be alone.

I got the GB bootloop. didn't think anything of it, just quickly restored BAMF, and no problems after that.
Then I read jcase's warning and reverted to VirusROM PDQ. I miss netflix, but I believe I'll wait for a more stable option. I can't afford another phone...

You offended ppl with your pompous attitude & laughing at others that had the misfortune of bricking their phones cuz they had bigger balls than you & were willing to try the bleeding edge. Useless thread is useless.

Willing to pay someone in the NJ, NY area to root and install the latest Bamf 3.0

I just don't have the patients with this phone and it seems a whole lot more complicated to do this than it was with my Droid which was a piece of cake. Willing to pay for Root, Radio install and latest and most stable sense 3.0 rom

Honestly rooting is def something you'll wanna do yourself or not do at all. The majority of the roms have bugs and aren't always stable. Also you will probably get a case of upgraditis after your first Rom.

Agreed with everyone else. I asked someone to root my tbolt when it first came out, but am glad I did it myself. The auto root method is very easy. Don't get over whelmed because there is adb involved all you have to do is press the enter key and follow directions.

I live about 15 minutes outside Princeton, NJ, if that's convenient for you... But I'd rather just Skype you and walk you through it, like all these guys said, rooting is something you really want to understand, at least on a basic level. That way you can update everything yourself as new updates are released (which is frequent, since the bamf team is awesome ). If you're interested, let me know. And if you'd really like to just have someone do it for you, I could, but it won't cost you either way brah.

4.2.2 slim once the WiFi gets fixed

When the WiFi gets unborked it will be my daily room. Great job beast. If there is anyway a simpleton like myself can help you ( with the WiFi) besides giving you a thumps up let me know . O and for the real dark slim users it's incorporated in the ROM options now so no need to search for trds version of gapps. Just thought I would throw that out there to maybe save one someone a couple minutes to figure that out. Once again beast thanks for all your hard work. WiFi would = perfection. I know it must be ****ing a tricky ass problem if the all powerful beast does not have it fixed. Yes I'm a **** for basically asking for WiFi but you know at least im a honest ****.

OK I have been thinking of my post and I feel like a selfish asshole . I'm just going to reflash 4.1.2 and stop *****ing and just be Happy we have such great developers to even give us a glimpse at 4.2.2. Sorry beast
Thanks vismus, I think if everyone stopped bugging beast and other developers about bugs and let him do his thing we would all be happier.
Let's appreciate that team acid and others helped get us to 4.0 then beastmode even got us to a stable 4.1.2, we would have been stuck on 2.3 if it weren't for them. None of them had to release their work for us, they chose to for the benefit for the community.
And none of them have to continue work on this device, they could drop support today and our device would be dead
Less entitlement, more appreciation and understanding for the developers please.
