[Game] Wand Duel: Your phone is now a wand :) - Android Apps and Games

I've been working on a game called Wand Duel where you wave your phone around like a wand to cast spells against another player. It connects to another phone via Bluetooth and tracks health etc. Here is an intro video:
I had some problems with spell detection early on, but I think/hope it is now all ironed out
It is on the Market, so check it out if you are interested -- thanks!

I liked your video, I haven't checked out the app yet though. I think there should be some animations for fire and defense shield as well as ice. Maybe if you had the image of the wand move around as you moved the phone you could suspend a little more disbelief Cool concept!

[FREE GAME] Super Ninja Skydiving Plus Zombies

I just released the free version of my game
Super Ninja Skydiving Plus Zombies

I'm really looking for every kind of feedback I can get.
On a side note if anyone has any marketing advice for the android market that would be much appriciated aswell.
Thanks in advance for the feedback.
no interest at all?
The menu should be a bit higher def and I'd suggest using tilt controls for the ninja. Maybe also instead of having to click play at the bottom while picking levels, just automatically play when you click a level . Not sure if that came out right.

Anti aliasing is off by default but you can turn it on in the options. I guess I should turn it on by default. Most phones can probably handle that now.
Do all android phones support tilt controls? I'll add that as a control option in the next update.
Yeah I've been thinking of redesigning the level select screen. Maybe thats what I'll do this weekend. It could definitly be nicer and more user friendly you are right.
Thanks for taking a look at the game. Much appriciated.

Blazing Star - SNK PLAYMORE - OUT NOW!!!

Love this game, played it to death in the arcade when I was younger. Came out today. I have not played it yet so I cannot tell you if its Xperia PLAY optimized, but I am hoping that since the King of Fighters was optimized (sort of) this will be too.
ENJOY!!!!!

We spotted this earlier great game. Have tested and everything works D-pad and Fire as well as all the menus. The onscreen controls also vanish when press a hardware button. Made by the same people who did R-Type port, Metal slug port and they always seam to remember the PLAY
ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
Blazing Star is one of my favorite games ever! And it's easily the most fun sh'emup I've ever played. You have no idea how long I prayed PSP would get this game (and never did!). Now it's here with achievements?! Getting this immediately!

Aww yeah, nice one SNK! Now, give us KOF 2012 and all is well. :good:
I'm finally getting around to buy this. Any positive/negative feedback or something I should know before pulling the trigger?
Awesome! Thanks!

Since no one really responded with anything back then, I might as well just come back to tell all of you on the fence of getting this, that this game is very well optimized. Good, responsive hardware controls and full-screen resolution for the XP. Plus the soundtrack is awesome! Here's a gameplay vid:

Or at least until until the $1 flex cable breaks, along with the l2/r2 buttons
Good to see that they optimised it anyway.
Great game. It's on sale on Google Play at the moment.
Neodroid is sooo much better to play this 15Yo classic on our phone

Thanks for the vid. This post decided my purchase!!
Still would love a version of Exceed or Touhou, but it wouldnt work well with the portrait orientation. Touch screen shooters are too hard if you have fat fingers!!!!

Mame/Neo/Cps Emulators are great but where is the challange. I like and brought these official ports (metal slug too) for 2 reasons. 1) Bluetooth multiplayer 2) a limit on credits. Where is the challange if you can keep shoving fake credits in, it makes these games too easy because you have no real death. Its like cheating and there is no point in that when you are only cheating yourself out of a good game. With metal slug on Emulator i completed in a hour (fun over). On the official port not even half way in and been playing hours worth. At least with emulators like Snes and PSX you have limits as its built in to the game (Saves states are also bad but still mean you have to get past the place your stuck on dying). I am happy to recommend these ports over the emulated way
Original MVS cartridge are 'free play' at will anyway, but you are right about arcade, nothing can beat the 1coin challenge and bt coop option is the best.
My previous bought of metal slug for android was a disapointment, few option, gallery mode, slowness this one seems better optimized. I think save state is a bless to train yourself in the hardest level without crawling again the whole intro + much more freedom to simply save your progress.
My fingers thank autofire as well. I found vsFighters a bit more difficult compare to the arcade because of the controller, xplay paddle is tiny and snk special moves can be tricky.

[Q] That game in the Shield photos?

Does anyone know the game on the box and the photos of the Shield is? I love mech games and other stuff like that, so I'm very curious. I have not been able to find anything on it.
Please tell me it's not a game that is meant to be streamed from the PC. I like portability haha.

Hawken for Android was demoed at CES back in January. The Hawken demo wasn't streamed, that was on SHIELD itself.
I played it streaming over Shield by adding it as a non steam app, worked great except for the menus, but controls can be manually configured so it worked pretty well.

Can't wait to see this come out for the shield. I'm loving my shield so far for my portable gaming system. I love portable gaming. I can never get in to gaming on consoles
Not to be dickish, but I didn't like Hawken one bit. Nothing about it felt right, and I'm a complete and utter slut for giant robot warfare simulation games. MWO is great if you can turn a blind eye to the whole F2P nightmare, which is very real and very limiting; it's still in a much better league than Hawken could hope to be.

Stereoscopic 3D for Dead Trigger 2

Hi guys.
Wasn't sure where to put this but I thought it was pretty general.
After an app or mod that enables me to play almost any 3d shooter or game on my android phone through a headset like Google Cardboard.
I know Tridef exists, but it doesn't cover many games currently. I'm really after just Dead Trigger 2 at the moment. If anyone has any idea of what I could do, please let me know.
Thanks guys.
Sorry in advance if I've picked the wrong thread. =/
Bump!
Thanks!

I'm really interested in this too. Asking again two and a half years later. Is there any app that allows for this??
Sincerely

There are apps to play 2d normal movies in side by side 3d format.
There are apps to capture and play VR 3d images.
But there is no perfect app to play games in vr.
To play that. You have to get that game screen in side by side format.
And that is pretty not cool with a game like dead trigger 2 to play in fake 3d.
Just wait for technologies to do that the best way. Till the just enjoy 2d.

[GAME][4.1+] Space Adventures: Asteroid Rush

Hi together,
there is a new arcade game on google play. I hope you'll enjoy it.
You have lost your way and have found yourself in a galaxy full of asteroids. Some unknown force is speeding your ship up all the time. At least you have your shield. Do you?
Good luck commander. Avoid those damn asteroids!

Do you have some advice for me? I am new in this job of developers.
Short feedback
I like the font you used for the game. It gives you that space-ship themed interface. You could add more to the background though, like some nebulas or differently sized stars which some of them could twinkle to give it that dynamic effect.
However, I really like the movement of the ship, it kind of angles off when you turn it and the thrusters are really cool. In terms of graphics it looks kind of retro-style which is nice!
I think the 3D render of the asteroids are a good idea! But I think you should add more variation like maybe some subtle color variations.
The interface is nice but I think you should cramp the shield bar on the left just so everything is in one place when the user does a stat check. I don't know if it's just me but I think you should try making the control UI smaller or replace it with a joy-stick-themed UI (which can complement the space-ship themed interface) my thumb is tired :'(
Overall the gameplay is good and the sounds are decent. I think it might be a bit easy (playing on extreme mode) or maybe I'm just pro; maybe you could add bigger asteroids? or a different variations of obstacles? One which is faster than asteroids or one that's slow but hits harder or maybe like an obstacle that can only be dodged by using the shield (maybe like some sort of nebula storm? or a gigantic comet).
I rated it 5 star!

Thank you for your detailed feedback
I'm still continuosly working on the game. I will take your suggestions into account in the upcoming updates. Especially the part with the more dynamic background and variatons of obstacles.
I changed some behaviors yesterday to make the game a little easier(Shielded collisions didn't reduce the speed). I will think of increasing the acceleration in extreme mode, to make it really extreme again
What score did you achieve?
Update 1.0.3
Code:
- UI adjustments
- Solved an issue that on some resolutions the lives were out of bounds
- Collision with asteroids is now also reducing the speed when the shield is active
Version 1.0.4 with Play Services out now
Code:
Brand new features
- Sign in with Google Play Games
- Online Leaderboards (separated by difficulty)
- 23 Achievements
Changes:
- Strong increasement of difficulty in extreme mode
If you want to get the word out about your App I can do a review for a spot on the App Wall & tweet it out to the 43k Followers on Twitter. It can give you a good boost on your downloads.
