Can you help to choose between Wildfire and X8?
They're kind of similar so it's hard to make a choice.

If you use social networking sites like facebook twitter and all that a lot, go with the X8. However, the X8 is on android 1.6, upgradeble to 2.1, but it does not have multi-touch and no apps2sd support since its not on froyo, but not sure about custom roms..... but with the htc wildfire, it is android 2.1, upgradeble to android 2.2, therefore you can use app2sd to transfer some apps to your sd card, leaving more space for internal memory and it has a wonderful htc sense ui!!
Well for my opinion..i will prefer x8 now because it has all the function u mention on HTC wildfire on x8 custom ROM..now x8 can support custom ROM from floyo 2.1~2.2 to gingerbread 2.3 +....with sense function too
Thank you for your reply.
Anyone that had both phones can give his/her opinion?

Hello everybody.
I have a non-rooted HTC Desire that I have upgraded, over-the-air, to Android 2.2.
I want to get Android 2.3 on this baby as well as the latest version of HTC Sense (the one where you can shuffle screens in leap view, that has a scrollable list of last used apps in the notification bar...).
I've read a while back that someone made a HTC Desire HD ROM for the HTC Desire but that many essential features weren't working. But at any rate, the HTC Desire HD has the new HTC Sense but not Gingerbread.
I've also never rooted my phone, I'm wondering if anyone can help.
if u can wait then wait for an official gingerbrd update..
else root ur phone and search the forum for a GB rom.. u will find lots for ur phone

First of all, this should be at Wildfire section.
Secondly, go to Wildfire (Buzz) section--> Wildfire Android Development --> The first post named [REF] Complete Index [ROMs/Radios/Kernels/RUUs] for the Wildfire
There you have all the Custom ROMs and things. If you just want official Froyo rootable, scroll down to point 5. RUUs -> a) SAFE Flash zip files
Of course you need to know how to root the Wildfire and flashing a new ROM. You have guides in the same post.
Cyanogenmod is a greatly modded android and improved for many phones. CM7 brings Gingerbread 2.3 to many phones.
i want to know
which rom is best for htc chacha,?
have rom wp7 or symbian for htc chacha?
thank you to advance!
You can't put other manufacturer's rom on an android device. So you can't put wp7, Symbian, or anything like this to the chacha. However you can put a modified android rom (cynogenmod, etc.) on the phone. I currently use a modified version of hexgore's stockplus rom. It is based on the stock rom, that is installed on the phone by default, but it doesn't have the unnecessary apps.
