Hi everybody. I am in the process of creating a new rom that is themed liked HTC SENSE with all of the useless verizon bloat gone for the DROID CHARGE. I will need testers because i want to make sure it will run on phones other than mine. So i will post screenshots, but when i'm finished i will need some testers. Anybody want to reserve a spot?
I will also be making another rom with touchwiz but with the blue theme like the original galaxy S, not the ugly orange and yellow combination. I need testers for that also.

I will be getting my Charge either tomorrow or Tuesday. I am going to the Charge from a rooted Thunderbolt and I tested various roms with the TB. I will be a tester for your rom. I will root my Charge as soon as I get it!

I have done a ROM for the Thunderbolt when i had it and one for my DROID X which i still have, but both were just for myself personal use. This my first time releasing a ROM publicily. I have not yet contacted any other devs yet. And ETA is about a week and a half because this is going to be very thorough. It will not have all of the services from HTC because it doesn't work like that but i will have the weather widget, status bar, a modified version of the htc rosie launcher that i have gotten to work on the Charge, the status bar and some other ones that you will see when i post screenshots.
Sounds cool, I would like to check it out.

If you havnt seen my rom then the link is in my sig. I am thinking about porting this to you mesmerise people, it will take some time remaking the mods I will get there, I need about 5-10 beta testers, agreeing that it might not work. I'd like to beta test but I'm in school and stuff so I can only test things that at least mostly work, like data and SMS and such I have to have. As long as it is mostly stable I would love to help you test.
As for Froyo, we do not have a leak anywhere.
I looked around in the i9000 forums a bit and if this rom works out good then it would be awesome if you could also port a couple of the themes from over there, I see a lot of really nice ones, specifically the matte minimal one and gingermix are both really awesome looking.

six in, i will allow four more and thats it, My Beta roms will not be like whether data mms works, it will be either a soft brick/boot loop which can easily be fixed or a fully functioning system so yeah, its two extremes lol

No lol, thats just a mod. Its a froyo based rom, thats why i was asking for a froyo leak, but i guess not, I will try to port my mods to Eclair, but it will be a mission which im ready to take.

The point of this ROM is to be as close to an AOSP gingerbread rom but still be 2.2. I just didnt feel like waiting for 2.3 or the source to be released Absolutely NO t-mobile apps or games included.

Ok guys. This STILL NEEDS HEAVY WORK and I need some help here. I just wanted to get the ball rolling because someone had to. Consider this an open ALPHA build and Im just showing this as a preview. It is completely built off the Eagles Blood ROM all credit goes to doniqcc for giving me something to work with. DO NOT FLASH if you do not have CWM NVFlash version. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Things that need work.
-Some text needs to be changed to white
-Some notifications icons need to be reworked and notification text on bar needs to be turned white
-Stupid T-Mobile shutdown annimation removed. (I cannot figure out where it is).

Ya ill be jumping on CM7 when it comes out but I just cant wait. I had it on my vibrant and going back to 2.2 is just weird lol.

I MAY need some help changing the colors on some text. Right now i have some black on black text and dont know which files to edit. Im gonna get all the png's and .9 pngs set up and then maybe send the ROM your way if you want. BTW, I learned this is NOT stock froyo at all. More like a froyo themed Optimus X2 ROM lol. Not all the framework follows AOSP so it looks like they reversed the X2 ROM for t-mobile.

Wrong!
Eaglesblood is stock room, built from stock. I can assure you try to unpack framework from x2 and G2x stock rom and then you will see what I'm talking about they're almost identical.

No I think I may have said this wrong. What I mean the origional G2X straight from factory ROM is not built like a standard AOSP or Nexus rom. it may look it but some things have been added and there is a whole LG set of framework just like sense and touchwiz although Im not sure where it is used yet. Yes, your ROM is stock, I guess i just misworded it.

It's nice to have variety of Roms, but Im coming from the Vibrant where there are tons of wanna be GB Roms! It would be great to see an actual GB Rom! I'm sure many Vibrant owners feel the same way!

Trust me... I know what you mean. Building a ROM from source is one thing but building a gingerbread ROM from a Froyo source is a whole nother beast. Im coming from the vibrant as well. Loved the phone but it just never took off in the development the way I had hoped. I would have thought an international phone on ever carrier would have a ton more support but I guess it was just too difficult a task.

Pretty much what Esteway said, it's a Pre Alpha, but he managed to get Sense to boot which is a feat in itself so hopefully with this project the sky can be the limit.

If someone gets this to work fully ill be so happy. Sense looks way nicer on the epic, and id much rather see sense 2.0 than sense 3.0 (mainly because its smoother.)
I came from and Evo so that's why this excites me so much.

Honestly, the Sense versions aren't that different. Main difference= Lockscreen which you can download from market as Agile Lock and also the carousel. I would like Sense 3.0, but it is exciting that they have 2.1 nevertheless.

Agile lock cannot compare at all to the sense 3.0 lockscreen. The real sense 3.0 lockscreen has many integrated features like notification popups and a very nice music player in the normal one, and seperate ones for weather and facebook integration. Its the main reason I want sense on my epic. Also thanks to the developer, making me have good hopes for my phone. Not regretting picking the epic over the evo now. Hopefully in a few months we can have a fully working rom.
Yeah, this ROM looks pretty promising, I cant wait till all the bugs and kinks get worked out, sense on the epic would be pretty swell!!
Has anyone heard anything about Liberty coming to our phones or whatever happened with Darkcharge? I know team gummy joined up with the liberty guys to bring liberty to our phones but haven't heard anything else about it. I can only assume that Darkcharge is no longer continuing development for us since it seemed to get bashed (for a lack of better words) upon release.

imnuts is working hard on Infinity, but he's somewhat of a perfectionist *and* he's having to redo his work on EP4, so it's slow to release. If you hang out in IRC, he apparently posts links to the latest beta build occasionally, though he forbids those builds from being distributed any father.

yup, imnuts is still around (just not on xda, rootz/irc only)...and its a slower go for infinity now since retrokidd went back to the iphone and got rid of his charge

nope i just like to pop in on other vzw phones and post where i see fit
and i dont really make themes any more, just roms...and occasionally themes to go with those roms (inc2, fascinate)

personally im not upgrading soon (cant justify 300 bucks around the holidays)...but probably whatever big sammy/htc phone drops in late q1 or so
i *think* sbrissen, imnuts, and omj will get gnexus's though
That's the biggest peeve I have with phones today. A new phone drops, gets worlds of praise for 3 weeks (figuratively of course...or not?) And then something new gets released. It almost seems like the term "flagship" doesn't apply to smartphones.

Nothing new I'm afraid, at least not until developers get their hands on RIL sources. Until then, AOSP roms will lack data/connectivity (to my knowlegde).

Need an official build to be released by Verizon so they release source.
makes sense to a point... how is it that the epic for example didn't have a official source until a couple weeks ago had all kinds of roms g.b froyo themes etc.. but we don't is it cause they have a lot more knoledgable devs over there or is there something i am missing....

With the speed and timing that leaks are being released, the devs don't want to spend the time to update every week. It is a lot of work porting a rom up to a new leak, just to have it happen again the week after. The # of devs is the charge community is small, and this is just due to luck. Maybe once the source gets released, and now that the charge is FREE with contract, we may see a influx of new people and possible devs. Until then, just cool your jets, and use whats available.

Yeeeeah, I don't know that we'll see many more devs jumping on the Charge Train. But we've got a pretty good thing going on here... we've got Gummy, Infinity, and Humble, plus a slew of Froyo ROMs to choose from. Like you said, with the timing of the leaks, anyone who is devving for the Charge is waiting on something to go Gold and come OTA. Once source is released, we'll have everything we need. At that point, there's a good chance we score CM7 (hopefully CM9 as well).
I'm still using Gummy FE and loving it. The only thing I wish I had right now and don't is a FlatBlack themed Swype for the 3.26 Beta. Anyone know how to theme that bastard yet? I know that there are some .9's that exist but I'm curious to know if anyone can charge the trace color, etc.
This makes me wanna jump ship other than the very helpful and knowlegable members here crossing my fingers for a galaxy s 2 or maybe ill just buy a unlocked one not sure yet
