quadrant? - Samsung Infuse 4G

i just installed the latest infused and i want to checkout my quadrant score but i go on the app market to find out quadrant isn't ont he market any more i am new to android and have been noticing some of the apps i use are always being taken down like gameboid was taken down and now quadrant can anyone explain and i am also positive this is on the wrong section sorry if i cant post it here

seems to be a market issue with that rom. search on the web browser "quadrant standard" out of the results look for one that the url says market.android.com or something it will take you there.
you can also do this from your pc and log into gmail. if you do that the market will push apps to your phone as well.

Can't download apps from Market after Cog 2.3b6

I just flashed Cog 2.3b6 and when i try to download an app it tells me that it will start but they never do... Anyone with this problem?
Yep. Problem here. Not sure why.

Its a problem on googles side. A lot of people on different roms are having an issue
Posted from my Captivate running Perception build 3 with SetiroN's SuperOptimized kernel
I was running on Cog 2.3b2 and never had this problem.
For some reason it started working again, let's hope it's stays that way.
I've tried 3 different roms thinking it was the rom
Go into settings, applications, manage applications, go to market and uninstall updates. That should fix the problem.

I'll give this a shot tomorrow morning and post results. I did "update all" to a bunch of apps and it effectively uninstalled them. Now I gotta figure out which ones they were. Kinda had this problem on Cog 2.4.1, but really bad on 2.3b6. Makes sense if it is an app issue.
It's definitely a server-side outage apparently: http://www.androidcentral.com/late-night-market-woes-youre-not-alone
ok... it didn't stayed working... it keeps coming and going... sometimes they download and sometime they just crash...
What's the downside of uninstalling the Market Updates?
because u are using the same android id a as everyone else with that rom. Change your android id back to your original id. Its been posted before, just research forums on how to find chane and restore android id
Reverting the Market updates worked for me. I got 4 or 5 FCs in a row without it actually updating anything (just uninstalling it) and when I removed the Market updates it worked perfectly the first time.
Gtalk
Just log into Gtalk and it should work. YOu gotta be logged into Gtalk for it to work. This isn't like 100% true, sometimes it may be logged in but the app isn't running or whatever.
BUT, if the market doesnt download apps, log into Gtalk, and then it should work
Stop the download and then re -start it. Works for me

[Q] Gmail.apk.... havin a hella of a time

My problem is small but significant. a ways back i unistalled the gmail app while trying to uninstall a gmail popup app. But since then i have restored using odin to origional eclair, and everytime i use titanium to restore all my apps, gmail is gone. Does ANYONE know of an app, or better yet where i can get that same gmail app that i loved so much. Running 2.1... and patiently waiting
Can't you just download gmail from the market?

+1 on this.
If that were the case i would be grateful for the ease of that solution. But assuming we're talking about the android market, no, and just to make sure i searched gmail 2 seconds ago and it didn't show up. Most system apps aren't on the market.
Yes they are. Gmail, Youtube, Google Maps, etc. They're all on the market. I deleted Google Search once and downloaded it straight from the market.
Ok i'll give you that there are a few, but allshare, accounts and sync, alarms and clocks... etc.. the majority of these don't show up on the market. And If you are running a 2.2 custom rom that may be why it shows for you and not me. Just to prove i'm not making this up check the three attached screen shots. First is me searching gmail, and the next 3 are the results.... super lame
but on the upside if i'm ever i need of a guide to the korean subway system... i'll search "gmail" again
Here's your guide to the korean subway system...
HA ha, much appreciated... and it is even the same package name as the one i used to have, but when i try and istal it with app installer i get the dreaded "there is a problem parsing the package". Any more suggestions?
I found it on the market....Market>Apps>All Apps>Top Free......should be the first one

Figure out why tb is messing it up, restore one app at a time and check if gmail is working.
Its not tb its my fault and i admit it, at the beginning of my vibrant usage i installed tb to clean up bloatware, and so before i even made a backup i deleted gmail. And so i have nothing to restore to and aside from odinn back to stock, it won't let me reinstall.

New Market. http://market.android.com.
UPDATE: We can sign in now. When going to download an app it offers a list of what device to install it to. My only Android device is my G Tablet and the market lists it as NVIDIA VEGAn-Tab-V1.0.0.B5.1.
Technically an web-based app market should offer us an "full" app market, no? i'm sure every app is visible, i guess the question now is after we log in will the app market recognize our device and attempt to block certain apps from us, or would an app that doesn't show up on the Gtab just give us an app not found when we click on it from the Gtab browser?

Correct when trying to sign into market.android.com you get a invalid request both on the PC and Gtab and Phone.
They mentioned that when you select an app, it will list the available devices you can push it to, based off your registered devices features and OS.
I take this to mean that if you can't see it in the Market on your device.....your device want be listed as a choice to install for those apps on the web.
Oh..and this is typically for you to do from your home/work/public library computer.....browse the apps, select what you want and it installs to your phone. You still use the "Market" app on the devices (phones/tablets).

I wonder if this will be unusable for people with devices that aren't intended to have access to the Market like our beloved G Tabs. Will Google let you OTA install to a device that they think shouldn't be there?
Invalid Request
I get nothing but "Invalid Request" when trying to sign in.

If all the apps aren't showing up, just use the market hack. Go to the task manager, force stop and clear the browser cache and reboot.

I thought since this is web based, it would let us sideload to any android device from our pc. That would suck if it doesn't.

[Q] Still not seeing gtab on market

Using stock TnT and I'm still not see gtab show up on my market account, help
So you do not see your gtab at all in your settings like in the pic below?
i don't see mine either. i only see 1 device and it has all the apps from both my Droid 1 and gtab combined into 1 device.

same here.. actually i DID see my gtab on the web market but realized that i wasnt getting all the apps to show up in the market so i went ahead and redid the market fix on my tab and the gtab no longer showed up on the web market and it combined all the apps i had on both devices under my droid 1

hmm i actually did the market fix too about 2 days ago. i reflashed to vegan b5.1 and i noticed that some apps weren't showing up on market so i did the fix. maybe thats what's causing the issue? i'm gonna change the build.prop back to what it was or maybe even reflash vegan again to see if it fixes it.
Mine has gone now. Perhaps the update to pershoot's kernel changed something. That or another attempt at the Market fix (to get My Apps) back.
My Gtab doesn't show up at all, but my rooted Droid 1 (I'm assuming) shows up three times! Unknown device from Verizon... 3 times over. So far I've sent apps to all three devices and received none.
Some other "id" or identifier would be helpful for identifying which devices it thinks I have.
It's also weird that the phones seem to be showing up with no make or model -- likely because everyone I've talked to has it rooted and non-stock ROM'd
The Market seems to "inventory" your apps every so often -- but I'm not sure what the frequency is...
After re-doing the Market fix, the entire "My Apps" section is empty except for purchased apps...often stays that way for a while, then mysteriously everything pops up and works fine...
Sometimes, installing a free app seems to kick start it -- but not always...
I am also observing this issue.
So I gather the problem is that the Market Fix+build.prop fixes we use to get our 95% market apps do their job well, but seem to screw up Google's ability to identify our tablets?
Maybe that's why the Market Fix works in the first place - Google no longer knows exactly what device we have, so it just sends us everything.
Has anybody gotten a Market Fixed tablet to consistently show up in the Android Market web list?
I can't wait for CM7 to mature a bit more and to get some good driver support - no Market Fix required means all this stuff should just work...
Anyone not seeing their device on market.android.com, have you tried flushing your browsers cache?
I can see the emulator "device" I did the Market hack on and push apps to it (although only the very very few apps the device itself can see on the Market app).
I'm curious if flushing the cache of your browse would help. I had to reinstall VEGAn on my tablet yesterday morning.....and the evening before I was able to see it on the web portal to the Market and push apps down. After reinstalling VEGAn it was missing. I tried logging out, logging in on the web, tried downloading a few things from the Market on the tablet...etc....still couldn't see it.
I fired up a different browser on my PC and had to login to the Market with that one and my tablet was listed. After that...going back in on my regular browser I saw my tablet listed. I'm wondering now if I flushed the cache of my regular browser and then tried logging in if that would have shown it.

I have tried a different browser. tried the market fix two more times and still not showing up. not a really big deal for me but it would be cool if this was working.
I tried clearing cache and no luck, stock gtab still not showing up, not up on Android enough to install custom rom's, hope we can get honeycomb upgrade soon...looks awesome.
I think the answer ha been posted elsewhere, but just go into the Android Market app and download an app. Then check the settings app on the web store again. That worked like a dream for me.

Mine too now. Looks like Google fixed whatever issue was causing our "market fixed" G Tablets from not showing up.
Must be something I'm doing wrong cause I'm still not able to download, just say's no android phones associated... Hope everyone enjoys the market.
Mine just disappeared. Was listed for the last few days. I just bought something too and it still not showing up as associated on the web market.
Weird..

well, that would be my preferred method, but it won't let me push it to my gTab. Says it isn't a compatible device. I am running VeganTab
I searched and found this post - and my comment is that I'm able to purchase things on market.android.com and 'install' free apk's, however, they never show up on my g tablet. I did the market fix from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=861044
but it didn't sync my account? My g-tablet shows up as 'Sprint Malata' on market.android which is new to me.
I have put my g-tab through a quite a few roms...wondering now if I should do a clean sweep and rebuild from scratch.
Anyone have any ideas?

Another method would be to sideload the app via your android smartphone using Bluetooth File Transfer.
