So my favorite case manufacturer now has a Nexus One case (after I got a Case-Mate Tough Case!)

Well actually they have 2 the snap-on like I've had for my Fuze and TP2, and a new Posh case (no pictures, but says it comes in Pink/Black/Blue)

Yeah I can't stand shoving my phone in my pocket haha, I always have had Body Glove, and just love belt clips! Yeah I will probably alternate between the two now, and I am thinking about getting a bestskinsever for it, because my Case-Mate screen protector is getting rough to the touch!
But post your opinions on it please, and I intend to once I get mine!

HAHA Yes they do don't they! That is quite funny, yeah I have always used GadgetShieldz and they have been awesome, but they don't have one for the Nexus so I'm gonna give BSE a run!

Already have a flip-down leather case for my N1, the extra length and width are extremely slight...But it more than TRIPLES the thickness. Really do love the case, but it just kills the sleekness.
Ordered up the same DayDeal for 15.90, I like the idea of the hard-case wrapped in grippy silicon. Thanks for the heads up.

I found a YouTube video from DayDeal giving an overview of the case, and it seems it does come up on the trackball, that or BodyGlove has two versions floating around! You get to see the case installed on a demo phone, and it appears to be quite thin!

Well I got my phone case... took about 6 days including the weekend! I have attached photos to the first post!

Yup, got mine today and I like it. I wish the kickstand were a bit more integrated and flush like Backflip's kickstand for the iPhone:
But my primary reason for the case was protection and grip and this case does a great job on both.

I am pretty excited I have never had a phone that Otter made a case for, but my friend has a Defender on his 3Gs and it works for sure! I wish they covered the front of the phone though... I might get the Commuter series, but I already have a Body Glove case and Tough Case from Case-Mate lol
But I signed up to be alerted, because it looks sleek and much stronger than anything I've seen so far!

I'm going to need to see some reviews of this one before buying.
The reason i bought a case-mate tough case is because one person wrote that his nexus one survived a 35 foot drop onto concrete. If this otterbox could do the same and then some, its worth it and i'll buy it. I'll be looking forward to those reviews (and pics) guys. Peace

I have the impact and the commuter for the iPhone. If they are anything like those:
The impact is a simple silicone case, a very nice hardened silicone that doesn't attract nearly as much dust and grime as your typical case.
The commuter may be one piece or it may be two, its like an impact case (silicone) with a hard plastic shell over it, this means that it slips out of your pocket much easier. It also has plugs to plug up the holes that flip out.

I just got a confirmation email from Otter Box that the Nexus One case is now available.

Just put a order in for a commuter case. Shipping was $4.80 for USPS ground. This code gave me 10% ($3.50) off of my order.

Have seen a few on Iphones they were bubbled. Maybe they didnt install them right. I'm sticking with my amzer screen protector. And using the commander case. I'll have ultimate protection best skin ever, amzer screen protector and otterbox commuter case. SWT

Otterbox commuter series case

Does anyone have any experience with this series Otterbox case? I don't really care for the size of the case on the iPhone, but i've only seen their defender series up close. This commuter series for our phones look nice, but until I can get some feedback I might wait on making the purchase.

I don't have any experience with Otterbox cases, but I can tell you that more than a few people around here were "patiently" awaiting their arrival for our phone.

I've been waiting for a solid case as well, but something that doesn't add too much bulk and weight to the phone like the Otterbox Defender does to the iPhone.

I saw that it was available yesterday and almost ordered it.
I had one on my incredible and really like how tough it was, however it does make the phone seem much larger, after my wife wanted the inc she wanted a pink or purple case so I sold the otterbox and gave her a Seido active purple case, wich does not seem as protective as the otterbox, but is also thinner.
I have a cheapy <$3 amazon rubber case on it, and I am very tired of it being hard to get in and out of my pocket and the case being so stretchy....I kind of like those "Breeze" mesh snap on cases on ebay for $13 because of how slim they are, I am torn on one of these or the otterbox....my only worry with the otterbox is how much bigger it will make the phone.

Zagg...case free...not one complaint...there are others like zagg that do the same job but zagg is very reliable and you can get a new case whenever you want for the shipping cost of like $4...

I had a Otterbox case for my Droid 1, and it was nice. Added a lot of bulk to the phone, but I was confident it was safe. Waiting to see what the Fascinate case will be like.

My buddie has the Otterbox case on his iphone 4. Its well made but very bulky. Too bulky imo. Personally I went with the kickstand case from verizon. There is already a discussion about on here so I wont go into the details. Slap on a screen protector of your choice and done.

Just got the case in the mail. I think it's great. It does make the phone a little bulky, but no too much IMHO. The main problem I have with it is that the hole for the speaker does not line up and actually covers up half of it. Not really worth returning it for, but it irks me slightly.

@CouchSpud, Any way you can post pictures? I've been looking at this case, but it looks like the pictures on Otterbox website are of a silicone only case similar to the Impact series for the Captivate. Then when I click the link to PDF specs, the spec sheet shows a Commuter case for the Captivate instead. Curious what they sent you?

Or does the defender case have silicone on both sides of the polycarbonate (3 pieces)? Not sure why the Defender would be better...

No problem. It's only a two piece case and it has a silicone interior and a polycarbonate exterior.
The first picture shows the silicone interior to the left and the hard exterior to it's right. The second picture shows how thick the case is compared to the phone by itself. The last picture shows how far off the hole for the speaker is.

o man thats a deal breaker for me... I really loved my otterbox on my Droid 1 it was amazing in terms of protection and I was going to order this too before I saw that pic of it covering half the speaker. Thats ridiculous... how could the mis-align the phone with the case.

I just received the case yesterday and It does add bulk to the case but feels very solid and will keep the fascinate very safe... i thought the covering of the speaker would be a problem but I don't notice and change in sound. Could be a little cheaper ~$40 with shipping.

Always look up coupon codes before you buy something online. There was a 10% off/free shipping coupon that drops it down to about $31.

I think that Steinheil Ultra Crystal is about the best the thing you can get. I have one now and I barely notice it's on there.

Yes I have had mine for a couple of days now just as good and rugged as they always have been look on eBay, I got mine shipped for around $32 and have seen them now as low as around $25 with free shipping! Guess I jumped th gun a lil too early LoL

Got my commuter today, paid $25.00 inc shipping on Ebay. It looks like it will give good protection. I like that it has covers for all the ports to keep the lint out. I installed it over my Moshi anti glare screen protector and it looks and fits really nice. I would definitely recommend it. Hope that helps.

I have a few times, going to jump on the defender. Might as well go overkill if I'll be using it for another 23 months. Was just wondering if anybody has pics of their phone in it. The otterbox website has heavily edited and spiffed up pics?

Took the plunge and picked up the Defender Otterbox. Even though it does look very nice I prefer the look of my wife's IPhone 4. The front isn't even a solid piece of plastic. On the IPhone they had a piece of solid plastic with the holes cut out and it looks fantastic. It does however feel very nice in my hands. The place that plastic and rubber connect together hold very well. I think I may complain in about two weeks about the screen being too loose. Otterbox are suckers about complaints, they will just send you a whole replacement unit no questions asked. Fraud? Maybe, but I like new stuff.

Too me the defender was bulkier thats why I went with the commuter case, but overall they are both very good covers

The ATT store did not have the commuter case in stock for some reason. I noticed that the commuter just has a plastic skin and then a hard case snaps on the back. I'm mostly afraid of the falls and it hitting the corners. My wife's Iphone has been through hell and back and its still in perfect condition with the defender case on it.

Its a silicone shell on the inside, they do a good job of protecting the phone, I havnt dropped this one yet but I've dropped my OG too many times to count and it never chipped or scratched anything

It's a silicone sleeve the phone fits in, covers everything but the screen, then the plastic shell snaps in place over the back, sides and top. I coupled this case with an Xtreme Guard screen protector for 100% protection.

2 bucks a piece for xtreme guards.thanks for bringing them up.

That's where I got mine, love it! It's infinitely better than the Invisible Guard, I might add.

I had the Defender on my Inspire. It was definitely bulky and added a lot to the phone. I also didn't like the plastic they use for the screen protector on the Defender. I decided on the Commuter for the A2 and have been very happy with it thus far. Still don't like this stick on screen protector but the case doesn't add much bulk at all to the phone. To each is their own tho.

I picked up the Otter Box Defender, which has a kickstand. After a 1 foot drop flat on the screen(which cracked) scared me into the Otterbox.

I haven't had any problems with that on my Seido "Active" or the Surface (which doesn't have the kickstand), but I did have a big problem with lint on the Otter Box "Impact" (got stuck with it on release day since no other cases were out).

this case is awesome had great fitment the buttons couture very nicely around the silicone it doesn't add much bulk to the phone which was a big one for me .although i would of like if they added a aluminum or stronger kickstand the one that comes with is plastic i fear that it can break but seems to hold up okay.

I bought the Active and the Surface. The Surface is a great, thin little case. However, I'm not sure if it will provide much protection if it's dropped. I also found the rubberized plastic to be more slick than holding the phone without a case. The Active provides a much better grip and is also very thin. But the rubber is way too sticky. I can barely get in into and out of my pants' pocket, and when I do it is covered in lint. The rubber part pulls away from the phone at the top and bottom whenever I try to pull out my phone. It seems like the plastic "exoskeleton" on this case needs two more claws: one at the top and another at the bottom of the phone to keep this from happening.
So far, my Pop case from the AT&T store has been the best case so far. If they only made it with a kickstand for our phones...
