Hi guys...
I am running BAMF ginger rom and the new radio MR2...
Since yesterday I am getting 4g...then it goes to 3g then it goes to 1x then it goes to nothing!!
I reboot...4g comes for about 4 minutes and then the same thing happens....
I called VZ yesterday and they said they were not aware of any problems...
I am wondering if anyone else in the NYC area (I am on Long Island) is experiencing the same thing that I am...
I may go back to BAMF 1.6.3 and the FROYO radio to see if there is any change

I wanted to give this a bump because I've been having issues with 4g all day
I'm in NYC near the Flatiron district. I've had to turn off LTE to get 3g. I was running the OTA MR2 radio and also tried the (older) MR2.5 radio.
My 4g has been fine today in Brooklyn and Queens.

I have been in manhattan all day and some of the other boros and had 4g all day and now in Staten Island & all is good
4g very spotty for me all day. currently stuck on 1x in nyc
fine all day in Staten Island, drive through Brooklyn is perfect, and in Manhattan at the moment (until 7am) and it is fine from the 32nd floor of 7 World Trade

Anyone not getting 4G again? I've been bouncing between 1x and 3G all morning. Unless it has to do with the new dasBAMF but I highly doubt that.

try updating to 1.6 i was getting bad 4g reception on 1.5 but now its perfect i am on the remix though
Had 4G yesterday in Jersey. Woke up this morning, no data at all. Had to manually turn it off and back on. Now 3G. Running Remix 1.6. Had same problems even before rooting.
I'm running on 4G right now in Detroit.

I had to enable rev.a then re-enable eHRPD for some reason and it returned. Very weird.
mine goes from 4G to no data and i have to go into radio info under wireless & networks and turn the radio off and back on and 4G comes back on for a couple of hours and i have to do it again I have BAMF 1.6 remix with new radio Tennessee
We had NO data at all for most of the day yesterday in Nashville then only 3G at night. Woke this morning and been on 4G most of the day but it has flashed to 3G a few times... VZW apparently can't get their **** together... though with that said today the battery drain from the 4G is WAY down from what it was before whatever they did yesterday (unless it's the ROM, but this much difference I find hard to believe, running BAMF 1.6)

Same here in Pittsburgh.
Not worth it though, it's still switching back and forth between 3g and 4g. Draining my battery. So, I did the ##778# thing.
Talked to a Verizon rep just now and she said all is still fubar for the Thunderbolt network. To Verizon: In the words of Keyshawn Johnson, "Come on, man"! Lol.
Ide really like to try a TB again but these threads make me second guess why I even want to bother

I'm in the valley too (Gilbert) and m 4g wasn't working at all yesterday (19th) so I turned 4g off in lteonoff and 3g is working fine. Glad I didn't turn it back on yet as I guess it's still down. Nice Verizon, nice.
Stl mo here, just started seeing 1x. Occasionally back to 3/4g but intermittant.

I am curious what's going on too, I have 2 separate accounts, one with a Droid X and one with a Thunderbolt, and the DX isn't having calling issues, but the Tbolt keeps saying my phone isn't "registered" and I spent last night, no joke like over an hour on the phone with 4g Techs trying to troubleshoot it... then after that long time, they said "well we will call your Droid X line tomorrow and see if they Thunderbolt has gotten working again." and they never called back... Oh what makes it weird is that my Thunderbolt internet and data from emails is pushing fine.
I was getting 1x on bamf 1.6.3 remix, went back to stock and I'm getting 3g.

I have just returned from a business trip where I only have 3G on my thunderbolt and everything was fine. Getting back home, I found erratic switching between 4G/3G. Sometimes no 4G at all with my data connection completely dropping out. Sometimes its at only 1X. I have a non rooted tbolt with the latest update and data set to 4G/EVDO. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

North NJ, hudson county here. Didn't have any issues since the big outage about a month ago. I am mostly running without LTE to save the battery and only switching when I need it tho.
I'm at USC in LA, and since yesterday my phone has been having issues connecting to LTE. I haven't heard any news of outages,though, so I'm wondering if something is borked with my phone. I was on CM7, but I tried going completely back to stock and still no dice. Is anyone else having LTE issues?

Oh, good — then maybe there's a chance that it's not just my phone. Even 3G sometimes drops out, and nothing comes up for LTE Only except 1X.

if you are using the radio from chingys leak that is the problem,best one I found for la is the original ota update radio

I think it was an outage because 4G kept flickering all day yesterday and now it seems steadily on today without me changing anything. Thanks for the suggestion though.
there's no LTE yet where i am, but every now and then the 3G will cut in & out for about a day or so(and get stuck at 1X). whenever i call Verizon about it they'll either say there's work being done in my area or an area nearby and just said they could transfer me to a tech to see if there's something on my phone not set correctly or will just give the b.s. "pull your battery for 30 seconds" bit.

I'm at USC as well and didn't notice any issues. I was on MR2.5 and flashed the new 802 radio last night which seems even better connection and speed-wise. What radio are you using?
I'm in West LA, on the latest leak, no issues at all yesterday or today.
Currently running on 1x like a boss. Wait a minute that ain't good 4g down on the east side of the city.

Tampa Florida here and I have 3g but its about the speed of 1x and its not stable. Comes and goes sometimes I get the lame 1x too.

same here, it hit about a hour ago. I been reflashing radios and different roms. I think its due to the new cities being added to the 4g network
3G and LTE is out for me too in LA. I'm using 1.48.00.0726w and 0.01.78.0802w_3
currently only 1x and 3G in Vancouver, WA for the past few hours.
LTE is back up. Not sure how long that will last though

Is there some sort of data outage going on right now??
I am getting calls and text messages but I cannot use any data 1x, 3g, or 4g!

ok in kew gardens, within an earshot of nyc. only thing I noticed was slow 4g and slow 3g. only had one slow handoff from 4g to 3g.

I live in the Bay Area, and my network is kinda down. I still get 1x, but no 3G or 4G
3G only here in Hawaii, slow too at that.
Can't even keep 1x in Los Angeles. Ugh. It was fine until about noon today

Thanks scrub maybe next time make a comment on here that relates to the topic at hand. It is the people like you ruining xda. On a lighter note it seems Verizon has acknowledged the 4g issue but says data otherwise shouldn't be affected
