I've read you need to uninstall and then reinstall but I'm not sure if your awards and stars are saved, and it has to do with something pertaining to free vs paid games.
I noticed that my version on my tab didnt have the update but my evo did. Both on the same account on amazon.

I don't know about Amazon but sometimes it happens with Android Market and after you clear your Market's data it works fine.
The update for the Galaxy Tab is now live on Amazon App Store

ok I just got my xoom wifi today and got the update to 3.1. however, I dont have the movies section of the market, and many apps aren't showing up in the market (cnn for honeycomb for example)
can anyone enlighten me as to why? or how I can fix this?
anyone?
try going to settings, then applications. select the "all" applications tab. scroll down to and select market app. close app, clear data and cache. then try to reopen the market.

Hmmm...no dice. I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be an actual movies app that comes with android 3.1 right? I don't have that...

i overlooked the fact that you have a wifi only version. i have the US 3g model.
according to the link below Wifi versions of the xoom were supposed to get the movies tab update at a later time
http://www.google.com/support/androidmarket/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1306501
in the mean time, i believe you can access the movies on the android market website and not the app.

I'm missing apps as well all of a sudden, its quite depressing :-\
so far CNN, Quadrant, or Linpack lol
CNN showed up for me finally after a while. Try force stopping the market app and clearing data and cache. Seemed to be what fixed it for me.

Where did you hear that?
This is awesome. Love the new look, even if it is a bit wp7ish. Very streamlined

I saw this posted on the inc or thunderbolt forum. If you can edit the build prop or use another method to get movies working you can rent them but they won't play on a rooted device.
This is cool.... I like the new look n feel..

Here's an article a while back where they talked about this.

I saw it available for download on Android Central. I was so excited. I love the new look. The thing I like about it even more is the fact that it resolved an issue I had with the previous market version. Randomly, when installing/updating apps, the install would fail and say that there was insufficient storage (which was not the case - I'd have over 400 or 500 mb available). I would have to restart the download for it to go through. I updated a handful of apps in the new market without any hiccups .
For users that haven't done this already. It'd be a good idea to wipe cache (and I did dalvik cache also) after installing the new market.

I've been searching for that, man, and haven't been able to find it.
Wonder if someone who has a xoom still on 3.2 could pull it? This is stupid that they changed it and give us no means to download apps we purchased on the side.

Send the dev of any app that isn't showing on the xoom a msg and tell the that the copy protection is causing an issue. XoS Digital found the issue as well. Google made changes in hlk75c and hlk75d along with the new market that is causing the problem.

I am the man! I got you the Market version 1.0.28 right here pulled right from my system. Hope it works. Enjoy!

Did my Market APK end up working for you?
Yep and then I switched back. XoS Digital had me run some stuff from su and it turns out Google changed some things in our new os and the market.

With the last 2 updates for the market, it doesn't seem to recognize that I arma T-Mobile customer. The T-Mobile recommend apps and free exclusive music on the new market are completely missing altogether. Is there a fix for this?

I had this app on my 16gig Galaxy Note 10.1, downloaded from the Samsung App Store. I just replaced my tablet with a 32gig version and now the app is not available in the store error 4002. Does anyone know what's going on with this error, or if possible, where I can get the app from? Possibly from someone, maybe?
