Does anyone know if its possible to do a dual boot? I'm thinking miui with eaglesblood cm7 choice on boot would be sick. Did some searching didn't find any info....

There is an app in the market made for this but doesnt currently support G2x... Its called Boot manager.
It's possible. I was looking at how they did it for the desire HD. Probably replace a few values and maybe it'll work.

That would be sweet... although I have no idea how to do such a thing

Anyone tried it yet?

Maybe if we get enough people to email the creators of boot manager, we might be able to get it supported for our phones?

I'm thinking of using the desire hd method, if it works. I don't want to dual boot and don't have enough space on my sdcard so I might need testers. Won't be able to work on it until a month from now .

What method is that?

I would know how to partition... but what would you use as an interface to choose which partition on boot?

I looked at this some time back so I don't remember the specifics. When I have time I'll look at it again.

How can I accomplish this? I want to run both oxygen and ics at the same time.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
Whenever you want to switch, make a backup and use that whenever you want to flash back.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Or to answer your question... you cant
Can't run 2 roms simultaneously,, if that's what you mean. There is am app called boot manager, and you can run up to 5 roms from SD. Its in the market, I believe, but can also be found in the evo forum (Themes and Apps subform)

I'm new to Samsung and was wondering how to tell if your bootloader is unlocked? Also what do you hold down to get into it? On my HTC rezound all you did was hold power and volume down.
Thanks in advance!

Galaxy SIII's bootloader is locked until you unlock it. And I don't know what you mean "get into it" The way I understand is that the bootloader is just a script that runs when you turn your phone on.
Yeah I ran the script and just wanted to verify it was successful.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I'm pretty sure he's talking about bootloader mode. But I honestly don't know if our phone has that or not. Anyway. You should download an app from the play store called EZ Unlock. It takes like a nanosecond to unlock your bootloader (literally). Once you do that you should be able to flash non kexec kernels. Like Scotts CleanKernel.

Is that because the One has no removable battery, no SD card slot and boot loader is locked? Just wondering

Yes, but what's really disturbing is their hatred for developers and open source. It's disgusting what they are doing.

<Sarcasm> But they're allegedly considering maybe thinking about releasing an AOSP ROM for early adopters who bought the skinned version on contract! They've paid their penance to the dev community! <Sarcasm>
We're clearly not getting that. The phone comes out next week....
