I think this only works on 2.2

I'm using WB's v61 and it works just fine and it is awesome
I have one question though, how do I hide the settings button from the keyboard? I wasnt able to find it in the settings.

Original poster should say a bit more on how you install this or at least say something on compatibility.

If you dont know how to install an apk file you shouldt own an android. And if it wouldnt be possible to install it on the phone, I would make an update zip for it.

We know perfectly well how to install apks. If you read earlier posts you would see that the question was about parsing error. Having said that, the keyboard configuration apk installs fine and very much improves the responsiveness and accuracy of the default keyboard.
Thanks for sharing.

The app installs perfect and runs well on my phone, save for a few issues (custom words not saving to dictionary etc). However, may be cause I only installed HTC IME apk, I did not install clicker_hi.apk. May I ask what is the clicker_hi.apk? Just installing the HTC IME apk seems to work fine without major issues.

was wondering myself about it and found that the clicker_hi.apk is some sort of calibration app for the keyboard. havent tried it tho

It's a calibration app and a very good one too. The HTC keyboard wouldn't install but the calibration made quite a difference to stock keyboard with respect to accuracy and responsiveness. Just showed yet again how poor the software development from SE can be.

google voice search apk

hi, for those of you who need voice search on xperia x10, please find below apk. it works in my luster white x10
Works great!
(but only in English...)
As Google showed German voice recognition in Barcelona this year, i tried to change language settings, but did not find them ...
Only two options are available (use gps/area information and content filtering), not the language setting (also not in global settings).
Are there any News about different recognition languages??
greetings from vienna,

not sure. i have been looking for this apk for a long time. and just recently find the link for this so would like to share with ppl who needs it.

wow it works great
I was looking for this apk to power up my "better keyboard v6.72" but could not locate it via the market
Thank you so much.. it works so far best with opera mobile and one word queries... but is works
It hits the mark everytime I speak....
Now to be greedy anybody knows of a apk that handles continuous speech for 'text'ing?
How can i get this working on Xperia Mini Pro Android 1.6? There's no working apk for it. Google just hid it and replaced it with Google Voice Actions which works only on Froyo.

All I am getting right now is the Force Close message. I am running 2.1 on the X10 could that be the problem? Any ideas?

Yah 2.1 is the problem. This thread was started months ago when 2.1 wasn't out yet, only 1.6.
Edit: I would also like a version of this that works on 2.1 if anyone has one or knows of one. The Google search widget on 2.1 only has the magnifying glass and no voice search option. Thanks!
2.1 is available at http://www.mediafire.com/?memmdtebzje
Works fine for me.

Not sure where that's at. I tried looking on the market and looked around on the web a bit. All I could find was the new voice search for 2.2+ everywhere.
Hmm. Odd, especially if you can see these pictures...

There have been many threads on this forum complaining about the lack of the Google Voice search app in some X10 2.1 firmware kits. So I decided to upload it for anyone who is interested in installing it.

It's OK if you like the ultra sparse look, but it doesn't swype anywhere near as well as Swype and it doesn't predict anywhere close to Swiftkey. Once swiftkey rolls out their swyping version soon, there will be no competition.

figured it out, had to stop the existing gmail process first and then install the gmail apk
Now, wondering if it is possible to get the google voice app from the 4.2 (i know getting a bit greedy here)
Actually, I suggest you check out Keymonk Keyboard (free and paid versions available). Unlike Swype, it has two-finger swiping functionality, I find it much faster to use than regular Swype.

[GB+] Ambient Time home

This is the old launcher that Sony Japan released for 1.6 and 2.1 long time ago. Now, i've modified it so that it works on both GB and ICS. I've also attached the live wallpaper that comes with the launcher and it works great as well.

Honestly, I didn't know it had to be moded to work on GB/ICS. I've searched the web a while ago and found version 1.0.0 (provided by you) and also 1.1.0, which has one or two extra options at 'Home Settings' (Image quality and Tails - for the animation.)
Here's a direct link, from some chinese site: http://count.liqucn.com/d.php?id=19...2/daolpu/moc.ncuqil.elif//:ptth&from_type=web
I was unable to attach the .apk, xda seems to be grumpy right now...
The launcher is working fine on ICS (tested as I speak).
Anyway, speaking about porting: it would be awesome if someone could port that beautiful and unique lockscreen... :cyclops:

Porting 1.6 stock launcher is on the list of future projects
As for the widgets, i'm not sure if it is possible to use any widget from GB+.
weekender90, there are different versions of this launcher, as you said some of them don't need any mods in order to work, however some need to go through some changes . As for the lockscreen, yes, it would be awesome to have, but i belive that there would be too much file-rewriting and even then it may not work properly.
dontbelive, there aren't any widgets unfortunately, Sony Japan released the launcher only

Nice port and i like the lwp. But it seems that the lockscreen couldn't take over the slider default of stock roms and it always appears before the ambient lockscreen. So you get 2 lockscreens.
Another thing i noticed is that rebooting the phone will disable access to the drawer. Only happened though when i used the launcher as a default replacement.
But still it's visually good.
Ei dev, any chance that this couls become a home.apk replacement? And i can suggest, i think this will go perfectly if themed with your 4 corner mod. Just a suggestion. Grear work bro.
Sent from my X10i using xda app-developers app
The lockscreen bug appears because the new lockscreen is a separate app that is been set to appear first when phone reboots or is being unlocked, so removing UXPlockscreen.apk from system apps may solve this problem.
For the second question i have no solutios as settings this launcher to default is something that i don't reccomend as it doesn't always loads its resources properly.
And finally, if you'rea talking about merging the two launchers it would be impossible as they have different API levels, it's a good idea though.
P.S. i'm still working on a 1.6 launcher if anyone interested

You have your thread list. Tap on a thread and it opens the thread. Slide right for a new text and left for the thread list. In the time it would take you to watch a video demonstration you could just install it and play with it for ten seconds then keep or uninstall it.
That said it works nice, but is a little janky and stuttery on my N4. Nice concept though and looks good.
