Thanks for Good app
What a great app! I tried taking pictures individually before and then stitching them all together, but that's just a pain in the... This is so fast and easy! Love it!
Great news! Excellent app! Thank you man!
can anyone upload apk here, though it specifically says it's for x10, I can't install that
I'd love to try it but alas, I can't find it.
Why people make useless threads without apks?
Do you think it's a bit stupid?
You are proud of yourself, that find good app and want shout about it in our sandbox? some people there behave themselves like children/
Cant seem 2 find it either... its either been removed or its only available in certain countries - can any1 upload here? Thanks
Well, it's here but apparently I can't use it since I don't have 2.1 :S

Panorama beta - Free @ Android market
Doesnt work on TripnMiui1.5.6 im guessing as its 2.2 shame.
OP,
Dude, this app is awesome. I will use it a lot for a ton of things. Thanks for the news about the app.
Its almost worth it to go back to stay at 2.1. Lol

I'm using SE generic world 2.1 on an AT&T X10A, and Panorama Beta works fine. It's pretty basic and doesn't really have too many settings. One nice thing about it is that you can stop a sweep instead of having to complete a full one. This lets you have a picture that is less wide, but more customized to how you want to frame the panorama. This app will definitely do in a pinch.
Just have good lighting (outdoors is best), don't do your sweeps too quickly, and be as steady as you can. One thing I noticed is that when the sun is above and ahead of you, the panoramas can have shadowed banding...so keep the sun behind you and things are much better. I hope the final version will fix this.
For better quality panoramic pictures, I'll stick with my Sony DSC-TX7 camera. But it's great to see Sony Ericsson still supporting the X10 with cool little apps!
its not working on froyo Roms...
Trip's IRIS MIUI 1.6
Seems like it only works on the official 2.1. I'm really interested to see how this app develops.

Yeah, it will work only on Xperia X10 + Stock ROM. You can download the .apk from here, if interested.

I would have to disagree though, that LED light on the x10 is Fing bright. Everyone tells me it blinds them when I turn it on to take pics. Regardless, I think what we want, or at least what I want is for the light to come on when you press the buton to focus. The light should just come on while focusing and once the pic is taken, turn off. This would be brilliant.
Light is pretty strong. I have Nokia N81 and autoflash but using Flash and the Torch , when have used it like a Turch she have lower intensity.
a, well i think it's quiet capable of flashing but that donut is holding it back. it'll probably be available with the next firmware or maybe in an update
A camera flash is not supported in Android 1.6 (think I'm correct in saying) so hence why it doesn't work on the X10. ]
Heres to hoping that SE will sort this out when they release Android 2.1 for the X10 in October.....
if u take pic from around 4-5 feet.....it does increase the brightness level a notch more.
Hopefully SE will include this on the next FW update..
Sadly, 2.3.3 update does not includes any auto flash fix.. what a shame

yeah but you have to pay, i dont have nothing against devs' right to ask for a donation, but it's a shame like the partner above said, not to have a native app to manage the auto flash, on wolf's froyo custom rom i used to use xperia flashlight, i only turn it on before opening the camera app, and it worked as a flash without a problem, but in this gingerbread rom it doesnt work, so i downloaded the xperia flashligh for the arc, and it works again, but only as a flashlight, when i want to use it like i said above, the camera app crashes

Hey guys, i thought id share an app i found on the market with you guys since i dont really hear much mention about it here. Its called "quickpic" by "alansw.com". It has immediately become my favorite photo/video viewer ever. Its extremely fast loading and excellent quality. Its probably what mediascape should have been. Anyways, in my opinion it has every other app of its kind beat hands down...go ahead, download it and try it out...i think youll be impressed to.

Hi, I've already searched and unless I am blind I haven't been able to find this so I figured I'd ask here;
I miss the look and functionality of Mediascape from 1.6 and would like a port of it to 2.3. Is this possible? I know that the stock music player now is probably faster but I still miss it. Any devs out there care to shine some light on this? Thanks a lot in advance and if this is surplus then by all means this can be deleted!

developers from sony ericsson took more than half a year to port the one from 1.6 to 2.1, and it lags as hell, and they took another few months to fix the lags and add on a few more features such as one finger zoom. finally they gave it up on 2.3
now what do you think?
Well we are never going to even get the preview ROM of ICS yet here at XDA we have a relatively stable ROM working. So I guessed if the latest OS port is going well, then porting one pesky little app will be no problem. Also it doesn't hurt to ask, does it?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I feel your pain. I suffered serious withdrawal symptoms after upgrading form 2.1 to 2.3. As the honourable member says, mediascape is a bit of of an engima even for seasoned developers. Lets hope SONY come up with an alternative to the moded android app.
Once i saw this thread i was like (HOPES UP!)
one of the reasons i bought the x10 was because of the timescape and mediascape @[email protected] when they scrapped it in 2.3 i nearly cried T_T
So let's try and get a dev in to help us! Start up a petition?

Will the 2.1 ones work? I still have my nandroid back up.. I just need to extract it.
There should be a forum containing all the firmwares of the x10. While I know little about actual developing besides what I've read and the methods to recover my phone, I believe that the 2.1 global generic stuff should be perfect (or at least, better than 1.6 - works better. If possible upload both as Pvy wanted 1.6 too) as for Pvy, thank you very much for taking on this little project. Once I get near a computer I will find the links for you. If someone beats me to it then make your you either upload the whole firmware or both the frameworks, the system apps and the de-odexed versions of the apps too. Thanks people, this is starting to kick off!!!

1.. Mediascape was laggy and tbh not worth the device that ran it x10 was too good for it, 2nd it cannot be brought over, i think wolfbreak may have attempted this (feel free to correct me if am wrong) and it wasnt possbile to do, its a dead feature, although u could always go back to 2.1 for it
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
Whilst I appreciate your views, I feel obliged to point out that it was buggy for various reasons; the x10 ran on 1.6, or 2.1 back then, both dubious iterations of Android with not even a JIT compiler, let alone the sort of sophisticated RAM managers we have now (I know not quite the same thing, just making a point). Also whilst I love my x10, even on the vanilla like OSs, e.g. cm7, the x10 lags unless pretty much maxed out with no apps installed. That is a hardware failure, our rather it's simply outdated. Finally while mediascape was laggy back then the x10 is capable currently of running most things from either 2.1 or even 1.6 relatively smoothly. If you were to compare things like quadrat scores you'd see a drastic improvement. In addition, I am hoping that the various tweaks available with different ROMs well help us to smooth the app in it's transition from eclair to gingerbread! Pvy, anything worthwhile to report?
