Hi Guys
Sorry if this has been asked before but after trying everything I'm still getting the Failed to flash recovery message after running revoked 3 on my desire. I've followed the leedroid instructions to the T. My Desire is an early build amoled model. Never had any problems rooting it before I updated to 2.2 as Leedroid instructed. Also is it possible to go back to 2.1 if this wont work.
Thanks for your Help

I updated my MyTouch 3G a few days ago to v1.6. After learning about One-Click rooting, I decided to give it a shot and was greeted with a fAilure message everytime I pressed the backup button. I'm guessing it's because I've downloaded 1.6, so is there any way I can downgrade the phone to 1.5 and then try it again?

Have a friend who needs to root their mytouch, but they upgraded to 1.6 donut. Is there an easy way to downgrade to 1.5 and one-click it, or will you have to do the custom way? Thanks!
i am having the exact same problem... i have a mytouch 3g which very recently updated to version 1.6 i beleive or it had it out of the box.... and i want to root the phone but everything i try fails... any help would be appreciated.
Ditto for me
I am slightly different in that I had previously rooted when I had 1.5. I have since restored back to 1.5 and allowed the MT3G to update to 1.6. So, I am in the same boat, but a different path to the boat. Anyone?
Hello,
I have obtained S-OFF and root for my sensation. My first attempt at installing a new rom was successful, and I used Android Revolution 3.6.1. Success, and I was happy. Now I decided to change to 4.1.2 and it hangs on the boot screen after installing the rom.
Can someone please tell me why 3.6.1 works, and 4.1.2 doesn't? The procedure should be the same, correct?
Thanks in advance!
Did you use the Super Wipe zip?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Yes, I used super wipe before installing each rom.
it might be your radio if you haven't updated it yet. thats the only other thing that could be missing. many people including myself have had successful flashes with 4.1.2 so thats not the problem. try updating your radio and super wipeing again.
Thanks for the suggestion. I updated my radio, but 4.1.2 still hangs on startup.
Did you forget something? Check Mike's tips and follow it. I flashed 4.1.2 four times today, it's ok.
Try another ClockworkMod Recovery. 4.0.1.4 from AlphaRev or 5.0.1.0 from ROM Manager is recommand in Mike's post. Mine is 5.0.2.0, just ok.
I followed the same procedure to flash 3.6.1 and when I flashed 4.1.2. For some reason, I can get only the first one to work, and not the other. I am certain both roms are working properly, but I was hoping to get some help as to why the one won't work on my phone.
Fixed: Let that be a lesson to you, remember to check your md5 checksum! Rom is now working perfectly.
I had faith in you the whole time been thinking about the possibilities all day
Thanks! Its all part of the learning experience I suppose.
Issues with kernel on 4.1.2, it has been superceded by 4.1.3, which is working fine and available now.
You did nothing wrong.

having problem flashing deamonspeed
after i have succesfully flashed deamonspeed, my sensation bootloops at the htc screen..im using the cyanogenmod7 rom....could that be why its not working?
I need help installing the OrDroid 2.1.1 OS released yesterday, I'm running on HTC sensation 4g, previously installed HD revolution OS on my phone in the past. I followed the installation instructions changning nothing and when I boot up my phone it only gets to the bootanimation before reseting and starting over. Does anyone know how to fix that?
You need to have Firmware 3.32 installed and you can find a guide here.
So I stupidly upgraded my firmwire without taking proper precautions, my HD revolution OS is stuck on a boot loop, I can run recovery mode just fine and every option on Hboot, but I'm curious if you would know how to fix that x_x.
I'm currently working on it right now
update: got it working perfectly thank you
Hey guys! Just a quick question, in the past few days, I have rooted and unlocked my AT&T HTC One X. After losing my mind over trying to install the Android Revolution HD Rom, I ended up with a error (Status 0/1) Then, I tried to install LeeDroid's Rom, but I ended up with another error when installing (Assert Failed).
So, I decided that I would just go back to the Stock Rom, ReLock the phone, and also Unroot it. Now I am completely back where I started. My software version is 1.73, which I am assuming is the latest version because there are no updates available when I check. So, my question is: Can you install Custom Roms on the AT&T version of the HTC One X when Unlocked and Rooted?
Maybe I've just had bad luck and gave up, but it seems like I always ended up with a problem when trying to install a custom rom. Thanks for the help guys.
Hello guys, sorry for my english, I am writing to put my problem that is plaguing me for days.
I have a htc desire hd was previously a 2.3.5 with sense 3.0, I tried to do this firmware directly from the root with a guide xda but without success. Once this is done I prepare to do the downgrade. After a few tries I managed to do the downgrade and have the ClockworkMod "ace hack kit". The problem is that when I go to install the custom rom (in my case the blackout incredible 4.0) proceeds smoothly with the installation hangs at boot time and the initial htc screen. The only way to return the phone function is to install the rom PD98IMG by the bootloader.
Obviously installing this rom I have to redo the procedure of s-off, kernel etc from hack_ace.
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks in advance
ps: I just noticed that I have the htc screen after the proceedings dell'hack_ace. Once you go to install the kernel and radio phone hangs (but manages to get safely into recovery, bootloader etc.)
