How to i see my sd card on my computer so i can put things onto it? Im rooted and have cmw
It's under "removable" and you will see "microsd." Also, if you end up not being able to mount it, make a partition on your uSD card and that will probably solve the problem..
only thing to show up is the the internal storage. How do i creat a partition?
Ok i found the sd card. Its under device storage. It wont let me put anything on it though
All im wanting to do is put a custom rom on my sd card so i can flash it.
Make sure that your SD card is formatted in a way that your computer can read it. For best compatibility, format it as FAT32. You'll probably need to plug it into a computer in order to do this, which probably defeats the point in trying to do this using the device as a huge SD card reader.
Also, if your card -is not- the microSD card, make sure that it is not ticked to the 'lock' direction. On normal sized SD cards, there is a moveable nub.
Check to see if you can write files to the SD card FROM the Transformer. If you can, the alternative is to download the rom file to your Transformer, and then put it on the SD card from there.
Bumping your thread/making multiple subsequent posts won't make it so that you receive assistance quicker. If anything, it will make people ignore you because You are a Noob. You hate yourself(azrienoch, YouTube, 2011).
i can see it fine on the transformer. Could it be something wrong with cmw. How do i reformat it.
Plug your SD card into the computer, and use your disk management software that ships with your computer. If you're on Mac OS X, use Disk Utility. If you're on Linux, use cfdisk or fdisk.
On my machine(windows xp), if in windows explorer I click on
Transformer TF101 - Portable Media Player,
I get two different options
Internal Storage or Micro SD
This was after an update to the ASUS sync software though.
Originally I could only see the MicroSD was through
Internal Storage->MicroSD
When accessed through the tranformer, this is not writable. This is a limitation of sd cards. You can't have two hosts with write access.
The other way is to put it in internal storage, then use the transformer's File manager and copy from the SDcard, and move it to /Removable/MicroSD
Ok the sync program i downloaded is not in english. Its the one fromthewebsite too
Can you clarify if it is a SDCard(in the dock), or a microSD card(in the tablet)?
You can't see the dock storage from a pc, I believe. I also think you can't install roms from the dock.
Sorry i probably didnt know what the dock meant then.
It is in my tablet. I plug it into the computer. If i go to computer and look at it it says. Asus Transformer tf101. Click on it again and it says device storage and thats it. Its like it cant see my sd card at all. Is there a way to go into usb mode or something so my pc can see it? Also on my sd card all it says is lost. something. Shouldnt there be more since i rooted it. I got su functions
I think that you should be able to see it through internal storage, either Removable folder, or microsd folder.
If not, just copy it to the internal memory, and cut/paste it through the transformer file manager
Ok so i am pure stock, rooted and with CWM. I plug my phone into the pc to put some stuff on the SD card and it doesnt show up. I see the 12gb available on the phone, but i dont see the 32gb sd card. And yes i did change it to USB storage. When i turn off usb storage, it does show up on my card and i can move stuff from phone to the card.
Any idea why it would be doing this?
install kies then remove it to leave just the usb drivers...
when i plug in my sgs2 i9100 (running resurrection rom 1.4) into my computer, i cannot seem to access the files on my external sd card.
I can copy files to and from my internal sd card, but i can't even find the external sd card. Anyone know what im doing wrong or how I can find the external sd?
Heard its under the name 'emmc', and i can locate this file through 'file manager' via the phone itself, but when i plug it into my computer, I cannot find it.
Any replies will be greatly appreciated, thanks guys )
So, after rooting my Huawei G630, i lost access to internal storage via the phone. I can access it via the PC.
- Rooted with towelroot
- Can acess internal storage with PC
- Can access internal storage with Root Explorer and i see my files
- Can't acess internal storage with a standard file manager. The directory is empty. Other apps say "no SD card inserted", and other say "Failed to save".
- Don't have a SD Card inserted.
Probably some stupid mounting issue or perrmission issue. Need some advice what to do. Thanks!

When I went to save a file from my computer to my phone's SD card via USB cable, Windows File Explorer will not recognize the phone's SD card. But I can move a file from windows via USB cable to the SD card. Is there a way to save a new downloading file to the phone's SD without having to save on the computer first then move it? Thank you!
On Windows PC, I started Notepad, then typed some words in the new text document.
I found it is true that I couldn't directly save the .txt file to the SD card of my mobile device which was connected to my PC with an USB cable.
I have no idea till now.
the MTP device driver is not a writeable storage disk drive, it is just a transfer protokoll for files
