I had this problem once but I soon found out it was something to do with the ROM I was on. What ROM are you on? Does it happen with the stock ringtones too? One thing that it could potentially be is that the MP3 file you're using is recorded below normal volume. You could use a third party software to boost the normal volume level to say +3 db to compensate for the low level.
BTW, this should have been posted in Q and A. I can see that you're new here but just so you know for future references.

yes it happen with the stock ringtone too ;/ So tell me how i can boost the volume ?

X10 Ringer volume

So we have root!
Somebody known app or tweak to increase the ringer volume?
Thx
I have no idea!
The volume of the ringer in my X10i is also too bad.
sometime I can't hear what the people said.
I also want to know how to change it.
So no one found a way to increase the ringer volume? I feel sometimes that I am going deaf. I may have to change my ringtone, but this is really annoying missing calls while you are driving.
Ringer as well as incall volume is too low in the X10.

true, but at least I can illuminate the in call volume issue with using bluetooth headset but the ringer...
This is weird that there is no hack for it.
Just use a decent ringtone, I've not found the volume to be a problem.
hey guys
i know theres not a hack for the volume ringer, but what i did was i use a program which can edit music files on my PC, and i just increase the actual volume of the file itself. then i transfer it to my phone and it plays a lot louder on the speaker. hopefully that can work for some of u
the program i use is called 'cool edit pro' however im sure theres a couple of programs which can do the same thing.
the effect is called 'increase amplitude', i usually use a scientific filter to decrease the amount of base in a song (which hte x10's speakerphone distorts anyways) and then increase the amplitude by about 10dB's. makes it a lot louder on the actual phone vs just putting the original mp3 in.

Ringtone is decent, volume sucks.
Thanks for your solution but that wasn't what I was looking for. I want to explode my speaker and I am looking for a hack.
Cheers,
search google for editing audiopara.csv, not sure how to do it myself as I find the volume to be mostly fine, but that is the key to changing it
just lookied at my /system dump, it's actualy audiofilter.csv on x10, and it's in system/etc

any way to turn the in call volume up?

My only gripe is the in call volume is way too low.
Have you checked the Hearing aid compatibility under your settings. On my vibrant, HAC mode made it really loud.
I've searched, I've read threads, I still havent found a good solution to this. I have the in call volume turned all the way up just to have it at a "normal" volume level, but then when I get one of those people with a quiet phone, I have no more adjustment to turn it up louder.
Why is it so hard to build a phone where the LOW volume is at a "normal" level so you can use the HIGH level for certain times you have a quiet call or are in a loud environment (like a shop where I work)?
I have Volume+ on my phone, but it doesnt do anything for the in-call volume. Also, when I go into settings/call there is NO OPTION for hearing aid whatever on any of the ROMs I've been running.
Does anyone know what file it is in the ROM which dictates the volume? Or is it in the kernel? Anything that could help? This is severely aggravating...

Anyone?

.. volume plus does not increase in-call volume, as the man says:
" Hi
I'm currently attempting to raise/improve the call volume but have so far been unsuccessful (when a call is active, the phone takes over all audio control, which i'm trying to get back, but I don't know if it's even possible).
For news and updates please see my website "

how to mitigate notification sound playing music?

Hi everybody, someone know how to reduce notification sound playing music?
Everytime I get scared by big notification sound volume when I listen the music
Set ringer volume to zero.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Yes but in this way I can't know about incoming calls or messages!
I remember in cyanogen there was an option to reduce notification focus sound
Ok so you are listening to music and someone sends you a text message. What is the behavior you want??

I want the sound message not so high like music volume!
Image to listen music at high volume and an incoming message arrive and you listen something like "BOOOOONG"
But I don't wanto modify notification sound volume because when I stop to listen music I want the volume at maximum (nexus s external speaker is not so strong)
In cm7 under cm settings you can lower ring tone and notification tone while music is playing. Works great for me
ahhhhh...........gone todash..............
Ok, but I have Oxygen and I want to stay with this.
Is there any other solution?

[Q] Low in-call volume

Hi,
I'm new to the HTC 7 Pro, I only have the phone for a week. I like it but I have an annoying problem with it: the in-call volume is too low. It's OK for the Office/Home environment, but it's barely audible in a crowd... Of course the in call volume is set to the max and I tried the registry settings to increase it to 15 but it only changed the volume steps, not the volume level...
Any idea to fix it? Can I fix it by flashing different/older radio firware?
TIA!

If you don't mind being overheard... speakerphone on low on your ear is a physical fix.

Half jokingly I came up with the same idea But I haven't tried it. I'll try to take the phone apart and clean the speakers but I have to collect some braveness first...
I wish I had that problem. The ear speakers are a bit loud for me. what's worse is at minimum volume, it's impossible to hold a conversation through headphones; Its so freaking LOUD!!

Boost Max Call Volume?

Sup fellas
I have hearing issues (Actuall physical hearing issues) and have the call volume all the way up and can still barely hear. Is there any way to make my call volume louder? Like is there any root app that can do this?

Call volume fix
I'm a new Android convert from iPhone to Pixel 2. I found a widget that actually solves the problem. Go to Google Store and install "Best Volume Widget" by Dub Studio Productions. Now I can hear my fone while on a call without using the media speaker.
