[Q]Infuse stuck at "Samsung" when booting?

The same problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202592
What is solution???
can you go cry somewhere that is not the development section?
also can you search or use the similar threads feature that pops up when you make a new thread to see thast there are alreay threads with similar titles?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=84196333
do you see the other two titles a few below your thread from search? try reading those threads.
So, you put a link in your post and didn't read the thread that you linked to at all?
I understand being new, but laziness isn't really as acceptable.
Your best bet would be to check the General forum, which is where general questions such as this are answered. The development section is for developers to post information about what they are working on. As Dani stated as well, the search function is your best friend. Utilizing it will help you out a lot in the future and also won't get you hounded by people for posting about things that have been previously asked.
Welcome to XDA though. Sorry if any of that came off as harsh.

i almost felt bad about being rude but i didnt even read his post, just the title, now that i see he included a link to a post where it was discussed i feel justified.
OP, please pm a mod to have the thread moved to general.
edit:
oh crap the OP appears to speak russian, now i feel bad again.
The answer is located in the first page!!!
To enter in Download mode (those people who actually cant get out of samsung logo), do this:
1) Pull out the battery and usb cable.
2) hold both up and down volume key.
3) place battery.
4) connect usb cable
5) press power button.
If you do the exact sequence above, then you'll get de yellow "Downloading" logo.
Now all you have to do is download the files and to follow this steps:

After revival of your phone, feel free to THANK and/or donate to gtg465x. His voluntary work is much appreciated.

hmm, last I checked this was the general section, not the android general section...

First of all, as a long time member I don't personally care if this is ban-worthy or not. Ever since orb3000 gained a position as mod, literally every windows phone related thread posted in the general section that I've posted, regardless of offering, has been moved. You can't blame it on the fact that some of them may have suffered from fanboyism as going through the first few pages of threads at a glance I spotted 4 that offered nothing but fandroids saying omg I love my phone. I dont understand the personal bias, had I posted these things in the android general section I'd certainly expect a move but that's just it, there IS an android general discussion, this is however the overall general discussion thread and while my threads may often degrade to people attempting to troll me thanks to people like xaccers and snapshot, they often hold more water than a lot of the android related posts that are left untouched. Please stop the bias, this is a forum for all mobile OSes (aside from iOS but let's face it, I have a three digit I.Q.)
Bring out the violins someone. YOU are the one who is bias. YOU are the troll. And you just use the general section as your feeding ground.
Oh, and dont blame the mods for scraping up your crap.
Sent from my HTC Desire Z
Never trolled on this forum once. I've posted one thread that was incorrect and that was the fault of wmpoweruser.com. All other threads have been perfectly valid.

If you really have a "three digit I.Q." you should demonstrate it. You should know you can PM me and we can come to a 2-way solution instead of just ranting, that way you won´t achieve nothing....
As per section description, General: Anything that involves all of the phones and doesn't fit in any of the other fora.
We Mods do not give privileges for any OS, we move every thread to it´s proper section no matter what OS is related to.

Flaming for questions?

Why is it that people that have been part of the community for a while are such dicks? I don't understand why people are so inconsiderate when someone new asks a question. I understand there is a Q/A section and that people should read but when someone asks a "nebbish" question is a thread that it is OBVIOUSLY pertaining to people jump right on top of them and say stuff like "read it dumbass" or "google it". In the time that it takes to make such an a$$whole remark you could be a nice individual and help the person out. I understand it probably gets frustrating when people ask the same questions over and over but grow up. If your going to be part of a "hacking" community new people are going to come into the game and ask the tried and true questions. I for one asked plenty of question when I first started modding my phones and came across plenty of jerkoffs with snide remarks. It's very frustrating when you're getting used to a new system and have to spends hours and hours reading to try and find 1 answer to a simple question instead of being able to just ask. This is a community which by definition is a group of people living together in one place, esp. one practicing common ownership, and we should act like it. Help your fellow modders don't curb stomp their new excitement of having a new nifty phone.
I do agree that people are much, MUCH harsher on people than they should be, but I also believe that there is an etiquette for posting. In my book, if someone labels a thread as [Q] in general, no big deal. I don't give a crap what section it's in, just so it has some kind of order to it. Threads titled DEEZ NUTZ MAH PHONE IZ BROKE usually are begging to be flamed.
And on that note, I will simply say this:
treat others politely, and they will do the same. Unless they are doushecanoes. In which case you probably wouldn't want their advice anyway.
/rant
I'll offer my 2 cents on this topic. What I'd like to know is what are the repercussions of having numerous thrends of the same or similar topic, will the forum lag, will our cool phones spontaneously combust right before our very eyes, ill say non of the above. So who really gives a [email protected]$ if we have repeat topics...instead of replying "Google it or use the search option" (which sucks by the way) all you have to do is NOTHING, just use the back button on your phone and release yourself from the topic.

It isn't just forum etiquette. In a forum as large and widely used as XDA, not following the rules severely inhibits the functionality of the site. Creating a new thread on an existing topic doesn't just create a duplicate search result; it splinters the conversation, making it harder for those very newbies - or even more advanced users - find the information they need. XDA Developers is a resource not just for new users who want to know how the change the background on their phone, but for advanced developers and everyone in between.
If I have an issue with a specific application, and I search for that application, but there are 20, 50, or 100+ threads, the amount of information I have to wade through to find the answers I'm looking for increases almost exponentially, since the same questions will undoubtedly be repeated in each and every thread. On top of that, the likelihood that a user (new or otherwise) will miss the one nugget they are looking for increases even more significantly.
Some of the harshness is indeed childish, but XDA isn't your personal butler or tech support for your new device. It is an online forum that needs people to follow the rules to continue to be as useful as we have all known it to be. Otherwise, it's usefulness will degrade to the point of uselessness, and those flamers don't want to see that happen.
I can't figure it out myself.

I think the only reason why a lot of people are like that is because most of this stuff can be learned without asking any questions at all. Of course, there will be times when someone has a weird question and it has to be asked but if everyone would just review the rules and follow them there wouldn't be any problems.

I agree, I had my phone running Infused GB before I ever even posted on the forum. I simply researched my questions and made sure I knew exactly how to do what I wanted to before I changed anything on my phone. Some people are just lazy...95% percent of the time, the question has been answered.

I believe the scientific term is called NERD RAGE. But while it is excessive, it's to prove a point. An organized forum is a happy forum.
Yeah but organization and common courtesy can coexist. Help each other instead of cutting each down. I understand the forum becomes a cluster fack when people post a crap load of stuff about the same topic

Is there a way to adjust the search function to search the infuse forum rather than the entire forum (all devices) because that's the problem, I for one have tried countless times to search for something that I've read when the thrend was new but the search gives me topics from every device, and most of the time the search doesnt even locate what I'm looking for. So either look thru 100's of pages while guessing if the thrend was made in general or Q&A or post a new topic. I feel advanced search options would greatly reduce the repeat topic issue.

Have you seen how many posts are in some of these threads. We have threads in here that have over 1000 posts in them with prob 20% tell people to read the whole tread. I might be easier on the folks if the devs would start a new thread with a new version of their ROM or Kernel. I know most of the Dev in the captivate forum used to do that when I was on a cappy.
Just my two cents.

YES!!! Near the top of a sub fourm, such as the infuse section, there is a SEARCH THIS FOURM link. You can even, from there, do an advanced search and really customize/narrow down your search results! Also within a thread at the top there is a SEARCH THIS THREAD link, which helps in those 100+ page threads.
As to why people jump all over "stupid" questions... IDk possibly mother issues???

Would like to contribute for Nokia Lumia 800 update

Well hello!
I'm a new registered member on XDA but surely not new to XDA developers.
I've read the request of wiresharking the latest Nokia Lumia 800 update to retrieve the dutch update cab. So people can overwrite the Singapore update.
I'm a Nokia Lumia 800 user and I pursaided my wife to buy the white one! So before updating I swinged on wireshark to capture the http.requests.
I would love to contribute the wireshark log to the following topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1379508
But since I have a 10 post 'no-nonsens' treshold I cannot reply to this topic. So lets cut a deal, XDA removes my treshold and I contribute the wireshark log?!
and so, after 3 weeks my topic is all alone. Can some please get rid of it cause clearly, its not in the right place. You peeps dont read and most certainly dont reply at it. I had a link to the dutch firmware I thought people would want XDA to embed this in Cabsender, clearly I was wrong. Mybad /delete

Hey man just continue posting 10 posts is not hard to do. I've been with XDA not more than a week and I have more than 10 posts already. I just kept participating in discussions, like "what's the best tablet under $200?". XDA mods are busy managing the site/forums and don't really read all posts.
Alright! Can you imagine its frustrating? Coming from another community were the rules aren't so childish I think it just plane stupid.
10 post treshold to post somewhere
8 post treshold to post external links
But no worries if you want to post a quick-go-for-the-easy-answer 'topic'.
They are worried people try to spam or something when they register, but there's no quality control on the topics. Half the people I have replied to with questions to get my 10 helpfull post have never even used the search or dont appear to me in that way.
No let us worrie about the 10 post treshold, that's a good rule to keep the no'no's away!
And i'm a new member too . Guess what ? , i'd rather have this rule than other community rules . Whereby that they have you to post a minimum of 20+ posts in order to access the threads . And i don't agree with you , we're suppose to follow the XDA rule and , do not change the topic .
As most people here seem to use android it might just be you need to post this in a wp7 or nokia sub forum as its more likely to be read there.
It's not anyone not being interested in your topic but more likely that the people who would find it of use may not notice it here.
Dave

Dave, I agree. First of all it was wrong to post this topic in the general discussion. However seen the importance of the matter that was created by the request. I thought that someone would notice that I was willing to contribute to the topic.
After receiving my 10th post, I could finally reply in the concerning topic and I'm now in a conversation with the targetted person. So things are ok now.
As far as I'm concerned this topic can be trashed/deleter/closed.

Yeah, I find this pretty frustrating too. I've always been a lurker on these forums because I hate posting just to post (read: get my count over 10), but the only forums I go in are the developer forums where I'm not allowed to post.
There was a time when a user was having a serious issue with his Kindle (I think, this was a while back), and I had the solution (I had the same problem a few days prior), but I couldn't post publicly even though it could have helped other people in the future (like when the original poster replies with the solution, not just "Nevermind, I fixed it" like you'll find on relevant forums all over the web).
But, alas, XDA wants to keep the noobs out and will sacrifice helpful content in order to do so.

Well, the simple fact is, the kindle fire issue should have been in the Q&A section. The only posts meant to go in Development threads are bug reports, not "OMG now my device isn't working!"
That right there is the exact reason they want users to wait 10 posts. So they can get a feel for the forums, and try to catch on a little bit. Instead of crying about 10 posts, go to the Q&A section and help 10 people out. Surely if you know enough to post in the dev section, you can handle that.

Actually this was a single reply in a very long thread regarding development, and how to get started developing. IIRC it was mac specific, so it was very relevant to the already existing topic. I PM'd the user instead.
And I can handle posting before they let me into the dev forums. But look at what I'm doing right now, responding to things that don't necessarily NEED a response, and posting to silly "how many devices have you rooted" threads.
Edit: I'm 90% sure this was the person I was trying to help. Had to do with the SDKs.

Must "Remember Me"
I had a very similar issue. Whenever I would try to post to any thread or even subscribe to a thread, I would get a screen asking me to log in even though I was already logged in. Logging in on that page simply looped back to the 'not logged in' page (infinite loop). I tried logging out and back in, and resetting my password with no change. I then tried to log in to the main page again and checked the 'Remember Me' option. Everything began to work as expected. FYI, this occurred using Google's Chrome Browser in Windows. I did not try any others.
I've written 33posts excluding this and still can't reply this thread. I'm writing this with my SGP.
I've found that when I see the vbulletin message, it automatically log out for that page, but when I click the "xdadevelopers" it says "Welcome, .."
