Link to the Android USB driver on the Root Mod Sticky is broken.
I did a fresh computer install and lost the driver.
Anyone think they could rehost it?
A google search for "android usb driver" should give you what you are looking for
yeah.....
One might think it was that simple. Thank you for the reply but I typically do that, however this morning when I posted this the G1 Android driver links were bogged down and displaying Oppps This link appears broken (Chrome Browser). After I got home today, I went and googled it again, and found 3 broken links. Then I finally found a working one from Href.to which directed me and then I was able to download the zip file. Believe me, I would not look at one web page, throw my hands up and call it quits =P.

The very first result is a google page, with a link to the file that works.
Thats the link that isnt working for me.
Thanx JF, but thats the link that isn't working for me. It also seems to be where most sites were linking me too. I found an alternate, perhaps its my internet provider or something else. But thanx to those that responded anyways.

Strange. Works for me. Sorry for the misunderstanding
Does anyone know if its possible to use the skype for verizon on our Evo? If we could get this working it would be awesome. Wonder if its just a straight.apk. We could port over.
Why not just use Nimbuzz for Skype
Nimbuzz is the only Skype app that works for me now that fring lost support.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
This has been discussed before, OP. If you try to run the Skype app from a Verizon phone, as soon as you launch it, it'll say that the app only runs on devices on the Verizon network, and then close.
IM+ by Shape Services also works with Skype. Though, only Nimbuzz will allow you to place and receive Skype calls.
Nope for skype app from verizon but there is a lite version floating around here....
According to Engadget, an update was just released that supports WiFi, so we have to assume that until someone gets a chance to test it on a non Verizon phone, it might work now.
FWIW, I also have an EVO, so I too would like to see Skype on Android, not tied to a specific carrier, though I haven't tried Nimbuzz yet. I just want Skype to hurry up with the development of their app, and support video too, or at least unblock Fring, but who knows if that'll ever happen...
Update: apparently it still doesn't work for EVO. The APK is linked to from one of the comments here:

ah, just read that. verizon is cheap, still have to have 3g on in order for that to work
So I've got my Xoom WiFi, I pay for Napster mobile streaming, however it seems that they don't have the application in the Market for the Xoom yet. Does anybody have a copy of the APK handy that I can use to see if it will work on my Xoom? ...Or a way that I can get the APK untill they put it in the market?
Check your PM
Thanks! Its obviously not optimized for a tablet yet, but it works! You made my night....
If anyone could PM me the APK too that would be great.
i would appreciate a pm as well, if you don't mind. Thanks!
I'm in the same boat. If someone could send me the file that will be great.
And me too pleeease. Thanks.
Ask and you shall receive. Sorry it took so long for a reply, I forgot I posted here..

Does anyone know where i could possibly find the .apk for Splashtop Remote Desktop? I have searched Everywhere but still can't find it, and it doesn't show up in my market. I have already searched and found a thread "somewhat" similar, but it seemed old and didn't think people would want to read all the pages, so didn't bump it. If anyone could possibly point me in the right direction, or upload the .apk it would help me out a ton!!
Thanks!!

Hmm here...
Use market enabler if you can't see it from your phone
Hey Guys,
could anyone with AppMonster or so please back up the newest (1.8.1) FREE (else I wouldn´t even ask of course!) version of Netflix?
Reason I can´t pull it from Market/Play is because my Nexus isn´t rooted - and I really don´t wanna root it just for this one stupid geo-****ed app!- and I cannot for the life of my find ANY reliable source for an APK on the net that doesn´t just redirect me to Google Play...
... which won´t let me download Netflix because my device is registered in Germany >_<
I have Netflix up and running on my PC and want to install it on my phone so I can watch it while I´m on vacation next week (got WiFi in the hotel, but not taking my Laptop with me)... and just so it WORKS.
Would be great, thanks in advance, I really hope someone can spare a couple of minutes!
not really exactly what I wanted/needed, but the (modded) apk here for v1.8.0 for the Galaxy Note works for me:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546053
but I´d still really love a 1.8.1, unmodded, stock APK of the Netflix App (compatible with the Nexus)... I also think it would be better kept here than in the Galaxy Note subforum
yeah, i'm having exactly the same problem.
any success so far in finding an netflix 1.8.1 apk from an reliable source?

The above link no longer seems to work, so here you go, kind sir:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vjcg471do3xjmak/netflix-1.8.1.apk
Downloaded by me, straight from Google Play via:
http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
For those interested, a modded version with full rotation can be found here:

The 1.8.1 worked a treat for me. Thanks
Note2 cm10.1 4.2.2
I tried the netflix app from amazon and it worked fine. Any reason to not use this version? (other than you can't scroll sideways worth anything)
Thank you from the future!

I have an older Nook Color running CyanogenMod. My previous workaround for Netflix stopped working. I googled and found this. And this works perfectly! Thanks so much for leaving or possibly even forgetting that apk in your drop box, I'm super pleased to be able to watch Netflix on tablet again.
