so i'm not sure if this is a thread yet or not but does anyone on here use icefilms.info? if so is there a way for those of us with rooted inspire 4G's to stream icefilms. it requires the divx player add on (old version of divx player) and icefilms script from user scripts to play on google chrome on my pc. seems like it should be easy for android phones but am a noob and have only just rooted my phone like 2 weeks ago. anyone with any ideas
im wanting to do this too, there is a greasemonkey app that you can get, but i dont think theres a divx webplayer addon
hi guys, Altair from icefilms here...
if you go here, follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=899141
then you can. I personally use an app called Vplayer, but YXPlayer works just as well...
if you copy the link to the video on megaupload, and go to the app, you can press the menu button and select input URL and then directly stream the video.
but coincidently im actually here on the forums now to try and get the ball rolling on an official app so... yeah, watch this space.

ight guys im new to the whole "technology" thing. i jus got the vox off ebay and i saw a video on youtube of the phone playn youtube and i want it. i kno u guys are thinkn look at all the otha posts... and ur right i should. the only problem is i dont understand them. they have fancy terms like rom and wut not. it seems i need a flash player and i went to adobe to download flash player 6 but it says that my fone does not support it. any suggestions?
Get CorePlayer - NOT FREE (or maybe TCPMP - free, but not sure if youtube works)
Or get the free Flash Video Bundle, it works with TCPMP! Or use Skyfire and watch the videos (any flash videos) right in the browser!
Hey
There are a few ways to go about this (in order of my preferance):
1.) Use SKYFIRE browser: http://tinyurl.com/comrrk
this is the easiest and best way. skyfire will play videos directly in the browser just like it does on normal computers.
2.) Use VTAP: http://tinyurl.com/brm7t4
with this you can search for videos off a number of sites and watch em.
3.) Use TCPMP media player: tinyurl.com/wafj8 tinyurl.com/dbdyr3
you need to instal both the files there
everyone recommends this but i don't like it at all. everytime you use the player it leaves the backlight on constatnly till u go to the settings again and it would interfere with calls on my phone too; but youll be able to use internet explorer mobile on your phone and go to youtube directly and open videos
Streaming Media
i have one program similar the player of HTC Kaiser.
streaming Media

There is no app yet but I figured this is a good place to post it for someone looking for veetle on android. The iphone/pad has an app but we really dont need one now that it works. I cant get cable here so I stream foxnews from veetle. Now i can watch it on the phone.
FOR REAL: Stream Veetle.com on Android
I recently switched to an HTC Inspire 4G from an iPhone, and I've been super frustrated that veetle.com doesn't stream natively to the device. I've spent a good chunk of time looking into how to do this and this morning I came up with a decent way to stream any veetle channel on an Android device.
Requirements:
•*Rooted, S-OFF, et al
• Cyanogenmod 7 RC1 Installed
• VPlayer (can be installed from Android Market)
In the default browser in CM 7, tap Menu, tap More, then scroll to the bottom and choose Settings.
Again scroll to the bottom, and tap Select User Agent, found under Advanced Settings. Choose iPhone for the User Agent type.
Navigate to veetle.com, and you'll see it's presented as it is on the iPhone, and VPlayer handles the m3u8 streams just fine. You might need to turn up the buffer size in VPlayer to get a nice consistent flow, but this is my new method for watching Veetle.com on my phone.

I broadcast on veetle, full time. After my research on android, i found out that Android OS stream veetle using dolphin hd+vplayer could do it. Check MePirate on veetle movie list and go to my website for more details. There is vplayer.apk ready to be download there.
veetle on android
hi guys
a bit late with this but , i am running darkstons super ram on my hd2
and i can view veetle channels on the def browser. i can also use skyfire
which also streams bbc iplayer...dont live in the uk....how great is that
Can't find crackle in the market on my droid x running gingerbread.
Any idea where I can get the apk for the free version?
There have been so many many threads and responses out there all looking for an app that will get Crackle movies playing on their G-Tab. I'm one of them. Forget Hulu. Crackle has great films and they're free with a tiny bit of commercials intermixed which is no big deal when it comes to free. Anyway, just finished watching The DaVinci Code after having watched Ghostbusters. All on my G-Tab. I loved it.
Just get Dolphin Browser, for free, from Android Market. (The Browser that came with the system is not very browserable.) Then enter http://www.crackle.com and with the assist of your WiFi, you're there and you can select and play a whole bunch of movies. They stream very nicely although the sound is so low you'll need the assist of some head gear. Unfortunately, Hulu can't be accessed this way. Why and how was crackle able to do what Hulu can't? Forget about a Crackle app, just do it the old fashioned way, with a trusty browser at the helm.
While I appreciate sherwinsilv's advice, and he's right, crackle works through the Dolphin browser, it would be nice to have access to the specially designed crackle app... Few media sites take the time to have streaming available to us Canadians, and here we have one (thanks Sony!) but Google is precluding Canadians from grabbing the app in the Market... if someone could post the most recent apk for crackle, it would be greatly appreciated...
I'd still like the .apk too.
Can nobody help a man who's down on his luck and post the apk for crackle?
Try this apk
Hi,
I found this link for the .apk in this same forum, I tried installing the apk in my Archos 101 installation was fine. I was able to open the app and see the movies and shows content. There were couple FC too. However the issue is I unable to play any of those videos as I get a DRM error.
But you guys can try and give your feed back how it goes.

I'm a new user so I can't put links in my post. Just replace "-" with "/" .

set the browser ua to desktop by typing about:useragent in the adress bar. then log into the gmail desktop site. once logged into google go to the web market at market.android.com/movies
the movies will play in the browsers video player at 480p which is the phones native res anyhow, I'm sure this is the same as google video will play it. they are hosted by youtube and I don't see the hq modes on my pc so id guess that's the quality limit.
this way it will play throuh mhl with no problems.
im rooted. the download wouldnt install from the market. it would start and then just stop for no reason. so i installed from apk. it works now, and with the market too. divx movies forward over to play in the samsung player.
Hey there Jack can you send me the apk? PM me and I'll give you my email address. muchas gracias.
thats ok. i put it in my dropbox. http://db.tt/Xya5KUS

Hey Jack thanks for the apk. It installed just fine but when I tried to play a movie I rented from the market (Wedding Crashers Unrated) I got the following error:
Playback not supported on rooted devices (Error 49)
Have you rented a flick from the market and if so were you able to watch it? I'm rooted and running Infused 153. Thanks again man.
Set the browser user agent to desktop, browse to the Android Market website, and launch the movie from there. Think that may work.
nope, i have yet to see anything i would want to rent over netflix.

yep this is how ive been doing it, works just fine.
ok, I'm a complete novice so can someone please tell me how to do this? I'm getting the rooted error 49 too and have no idea how to get the movie to play. I don't know how to open it in the browser either, so I am totally lost. I have a feeling I just wasted 3.99. Lol.
I used to have the initial MX player and was able to use it alongside the Youtube downloader to download and then later watch Youtube videos when I had no signal (which happens alot)
Then they redid the MX player and suddenly I can't download anything to it, I can play the stuff I had previously downloaded fine; I can even delete stuff from that past list. But I can't add new stuff to it.
What am I doing wrong here? I find it hard to believe that they'd update the MX player and make it worse/uunusable. I've sent request after request to the app developers but have heard nothing back. If anyone has anyanswers ir suggestions I'd be really greatful
Thanks
I think downloading youtube videos is not enterily legal, many app got removed from google play because of that.
m.tubemate.net
Out of scope of this app IMHO, for download YT videos use this app: YouTube Downloader.
MX Player itself has nothing to do with downloading anything. MX merely just plays whatever is given to it. Downloading YouTube videos is of questionnable legality, so we'll not discuss it further here. If you have problems with whatever app is doing that, you should talk to them.
I use two workarounds. You may try one if you like.
1. Change youtube to youtubepaw.com, for example, https://www.youtubepaw.com/the-link-of-video.
2. Try using this free YouTube downloader. It's workable on both desktop and mobile.
