[Q] any method to make Sense 3.0 have a 4x5 workspace?

i want a 4x5 workspace with sense3.0 , is it possible?
i have tried in the past three days. but i don't think the tutorial of DHD work well on my Sensation, and i don't know what's wrong. (i have got a rosie.apk that have a classes.dex inside from LeeDroid rom)
so, is it possible to do this?
and,sorry for my poor english

I would love this as well, its the only thing I don't like about sense!

I don't have an answer if you want to use the stock Sense launcher.
But an alternative is Launcher Pro, which has this capability.

Can I add or remove 2 panel in sense 3.0?
It's always with 7 panels, with me 5 is enough.

But I loose access to all HTC Widgets and I use several of them, very usefull

With Sense 3.0, if youre ROM is deodexed (and rooted), you can modify Rosie.apk (search for tutorials with APKTool eg.) to do a lot of stuff

The Ginger Thyparancy (Spelling) theme for Sense 3.0 will give you an App drawer of 5x6
as of yet i haven't seen any that work on home screen as it would require resizing the clock - and all other HTC sense widgets, which i think is a bit to much work for most enthusiasts.
I did however have the HTC Sensation XL clock running on my Sensation but its for 3.5 based... here are some screenshots of my phone just to see if this is what you are intending to try and achieve

Thank you for answering, but we don't want 4x5 app drawer (it's already done, with 5x5 and so on), we want 4x5 for Home Screen (the widget room).
In Sense 3.0 it's possible, but nobody seems to have done that for Sense 3.5 by now
There is no obligation to redraw widgets if you use 4x5 : it's just a supplementary row compared to standard 4x4

ah i see what you mean now, I have played with editing it myself and what you asking isn't that complex a change, but i haven't seen anyone do it yet?

people have tried it and it apparently is a more complex change than that...
u have to edit all the htc widgets apks too apparently.... idk why but some experts have told me so

I will try skin only with Gingerbread theme. Can't wait to flash the full Honey HD theme.
edit. green overscroll glow and gigerbread icons at the notification bar didn't look good with Honey HD skin. So Gingerbread theme+Honey HD skin= not good

Awesome theme! I have a quick question tho, if I have your gingerbread full theme right now, can I just delete the skin portion, and then flash the new .zip for the honey? or will I need to first flash back to my normal rom's theme (insertcoin) and THEN flash the new honey themed zip?

RC1 of the Full Theme is now with a couple of testers for review. If I get their OK also, I will release the RC1

For those of you that would like to prepare:
- Download HONEY HD skin from the market. In order to save a bit of server space and to make the download a little quicker, the FULL THEME will not come with HoneyHD skin included. In order to properly zipalign the APK is 30+ mb in filesize.
The theme will be launched later today if we dont run into any issues.

CdTDroiD has just informed me that he would be OK with me using his fusion.apk (m10) files for the widgets/lockrings etc.
I have done a quick test, let me know if there is a lot of interest for it here (hit thanks to this post so I get a feeling how how large demand is), I will then create a custom version with his amendments

i made auto rotate rosie
and it work
but had some problem
1-home screen icons and widget had no postion (see in screen shots)
2-dont see dock
3-fc when you touch screen in homescreen when its landscape (but no fc in appdrawer)

It is very simple to change manifest to make any app rotate but getting the m10 in rosie is not an easy task, this is something you will need help from someone that know m10, also all xml's would need to be set up and most likely smali too

I think its more of some of the XMLs and the SMALIs in the HTC framework apk. Looking into it now. Could be the m10 files too, just decompile them with a m10 unpacker.

good job. i think you already know that you have to edit the most xml's and m10's to get support for landscape. cause now it rotates and only use the portrait dimens, this is why it crash

espresso has rosie rotation, and uses sense 3.0, have you tried copying some of the stuff from there?

Its been months checking this thread.. I suppose nobody knows what to do

Full theme will be a Remix of many Dusk styles,Glass styles.
By Remix I meant,even this single button in dialpad already remixed from Dinik style+apaquette420 style +me.
And we have few more great flavors back from WM 6.1 days

Off topic q:anybody seen or ported or tried to port footprints app to ics sense 4.0?I collected so many of them for past couple years and can't use them anymore....

First of all, I would like to thank ViperS Team for providing tutorials and Theming kitchen.
I would also like to thank Chris for providing icons.
Most of the icons are from the pack Cold Fusion HD and some icons I downloaded from the internet.
I made an installable apk file which Venom Users can install.
It is perfectly compatible with ViperS 1.0.1 - Sense 4.0 ROM.
Instructions:
1. Transfer attached .apk file to your sd card.
2. Install like a normal application.
3. Go to Venom Tweaks ---> Sense ---> Icon Pack and choose Cold Fusion HD Icon Pack

Nice icon package looks really smooth. most of them are way better than the standard icons (I only dislike the gallery icon, but that's just my taste)

Sorry, I left ViperS a long time back. I am on CM10 these days and both are different due to different base. So it is not like that Cm10 icon pack will work on ViperS or vice versa. I tried and got boot loop
Well, least I can do is replace couple of icons with the new one. But you should try other packs. There are lots of those in Venom Hub and try searching for some themes if you want to change the look of your phone.
icon, theme and fonts that's pretty much completes the GUI, isn't it.

It completely changes your device. Every theme looks all different, customize each and every font. It is a lot different and will take some time to settle with. I still remember the day when I left Sense and 2 days I was just in dilemma of CM10 or Sense.
But CM10 it is.... bugs free........ Latest, fastest, light weight.
