Reboot app? - Verizon Droid Charge

so far there hasnt been any app that boots me into cmw,.whats working out there
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA Premium App

There are directions on how to reboot into CWM Recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106608 so you don't need an app to do it. In time there will be ROM's that incorporate it but CWM Recovery is also still a work in progress to get all features on par with other devices.

If you have flashed jt's cwm, you can use quickboot from the market. Works great for me.

gunnermike - once you or Nitsuj17 get it working I guess it will get incorporated into the Altered Beast ROM?

Widgetsoid from the market has an option for it. Create a widget with a menu option for reboot.
Of course it does much much more than that...but its an alternative to what else is there

Apps that can reboot

Anyone know of any applications that can restart the phone?
From what I can tell this isn't as easy to do on sense as it is on senseless roms, but I'm hoping I missed something.
Quickboot

Quickboot is my preference.

Extended Controls can also do it. You can do a regular reboot or boot into recovery/bootloader.
Thanks, gonna give quick boot a try.
Boot control widget is a good one that I use.

Love it
Does anyone know of an app that will reboot in download mode? I can find plenty that will reboot to recovery but none that will reboot to download.

I read that people who are using the new market are having issues with downloads, just thought I let you guys know.

I used root explorer to copy the apk to system app, rebooted and installed. Worked good that way for me.

I got it installed. it comes up fine/searches. When I try to access "My Apps" or download anything it force closes. I rebooted a couple times and fixed permissions in Rom Manager. Can't get it to not force close at all.

That's what I tried to warn you guys about. People have had issues downloading from the new market. Just wait two weeks and it will officially be out.

No, don't use Rom Manager with the SGS4G, it does not work properly and you'll soft brick your phone.
You need to root the phone, then manually push the recovery file into system/bin with something like Root Explorer. If you don't have root, you can try installing Dr. Honk's kernel to get root, or superoneclick.
Well hes on gingerbread unless he gots recovery already which he doesnt then rom manager fix permission wil work
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
I agree to get drhonks kernel. Then battery calibrate

I see, just using fix permissions will work then. otherwise, people need to know not to use Rom Manager for recovery or for flashing roms on the SGS4G

CWM touch for T-Mobile(manual flash instructions)

Just flashed cwm touch for T-Mobile. Looks pretty nice. Its available in from rom manager or if you dont wanna pay for it do this
Download the recovery image from here http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager (tmobile Galaxy S2)
Rename it to recovery.img and place it on your sdcard(internal) so it should be at /sdcard/recovery.img
plug phone into computer and get into adb shell from terminal (must have adb working)
then type this: dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p22
IF you dont have adb working on your computer you can download terminal emulator from android market and do it from your phone. Same instructions as above.
place recovery.img on sdcard(/sdcard/recovery.img)
open terminal emulator and type: su (allow superuser access if it ask you)
then type: dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p22
make sure usb debugging is checked also.
Credit for these instructions belongs to Da_G

I wonder if its clearing cache and stuff alot better. I'm not being able to get it to stick, im flashing through ROM Manager but it still reboots into the normal CWM.
Are you flashing at the top of ROM manager our at the bottom where it says flash touch recovery?

still not fixing permissions lol probably still not clearing cache as it should
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
At the top. I dont see a button that says that at the bottom. I'm using the ROM Manager preinstalled with Sky ICS. Maybe thats why?
SO you have to pay for this to flash it from Rom Manager?? when i click it says you its free for manual installation and if wanted to flash from app you have to buy it..

Same here but nothing other than that seems to work. Wont mount internal or external SD card. Flashed back to original CWM
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Same here. I think it's worth it. Fixing permission didn't work for me either but not a deal breaker. Gladly paid the 2 bucks.
I'm loving the touch recovery, my download folder gets lost about twenty folders or more below the top folder, and it takes a decade to volume rocker down to select it. Lol, this is a huge improvement. Now if we can get a red themed version for our skyrocket....
