transfer to where? - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

Hi
Quick question. So I want to transfer a video file from the computer to my EEE pad. Where does it get transferred to?
When I connect my EEE pad to my computer via the USB cable it seems only to recognise the SD card and not the internal storage. I want to be able to transfer my video to the internal storage.
Is that actually possible?

When you tether the TF to your PC via USB, the /sdcard folder is the internal memory.

That's correct, the removable SD card is referred to as the MicroSD.

If you take the micro SD card out and then connect it will transfer to main memory.
At least thats what happened to me when trying to transfer music and the SD card wasn't ....couldn't be read. Bad card I believe because my phone couldn't read it either and couldn't format it. I'll find out when I take it back tomorrow.

[Q] transfer files via USB from ubuntu?

I am trying to transfer music to the Transformer from my ubuntu laptop. When I plug in the USB, syslog shows the usb high speed device connect, but it won't mount. I don't know much about android, so I thought maybe if your device isn't rooted, you can't access the internal storage via USB. So I grabbed a micro sd I had laying around (an old 1Gb) and popped it in thinking I could access that... no dice. Is there a way to transfer music on this thing?
-Thanks!
You need MTP drivers.
EDIT:http://www.xoomforums.com/forum/mot...ussion/691-mount-internal-storage-ubuntu.html
https://supportforums.motorola.com/thread/45977?tstart=0 try that?
It won't mount in Linux. There is a way to make your computer mount storage, but I usually just take my micro SD out (32gb) and pop it in a card reader. Maybe try another card.

[Q] Accesing the McroSD card via USB?

I installed a Micro SD card in my TF and cannot figure out how to access it while connected to my pc VIA USB cable? When I plug it in the PC does recognize the transformer but does not see the micro sd card? Also Asus sync starts up and i dont want to run it, is there a way to remove this program or stop it from starting up?
Any input would be appreciated, thanks.
Found out the answer to half my question. The Micro SD card is actually listed as a folder inside the TF as opposed to a secondary drive.
Now just to figure out how to get rid of this Asus SYNC bloatware...

Removable Storage

Just called ASUS Support and they have NO IDEA what I am talking about.
But hopefully you guys can help.
I have an ASUS Transformer.
Brand new.
All I want is to connect it to my Windows 7 laptop and transfer files between them.
I have no SD card. I am trying to access the Transformers internal storage.
Just drag and drop functionality.
Drivers have been installed via ASUS Support Page.
I plug in tranformer via the supplied charging cable.
Windows shows Transformer TF101 installed
I have the transsformer so the screen does not shut off.
Now how can I access internal storage?
It is not likke how phone show use internal storage?
any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
In windows explorer, you should have the tf101 listed, similar to a removable drive.
Just double click on it.
thanks for the fast reply.
I just did this on my desktop.
The transformer is seen in Windows Media Center and on my computer it shows as
Portable Device not a removable disk.
I am not able to access internal storage.
I click it, it shows internal storage 12gb available but when I click it it just hangs at loading
EDIT
problem solved.
USB debugging must be enabled

ASUS USB Kit and ASUS SD Card Reader

I recently Purchased the Asus External USB and External Card Reader. Both work excellent. My Question when using either external adaptor with a hard drive or sd card all files are easily accessed with the file manager but No Files (Pictures,Music,Movies) will sync with any Apps Like it does with the Micro Sd Card. Am I missing something or is there a walk around for this?

Question Can we access the SD card via a computer through USB?

Hello everyone,
I have a basic question, maybe it's stupid, but critical for me because my laptop doesn't have an SD card reader.
Let's say I put a SD card in the phone, and then I plug the phone via USB to my laptop, can I access the SD card content and copy new things like music and photos directly from my laptop to the SD card in the phone?
Thanks for the help if anyone has tried it!

Typically laptops take full size sd cards while the Nord CE 2 takes micro sd cards. You would be better off buying a card reader that you can plug into your laptop's usb socket.

Thanks, but that was not what I wanted to know, sorry I didn't explain well.
I don't want to put the SD or micro SD card in my computer.
If I have a micro SD card in the Nord CE2, and I plug this phone via USB to the computer (just like we do to transfer files to the phone memory), can I access the micro SD card that is into the phone via the file system / explorer ?
Yes you can.
Thanks! Totally buying it then.
