Hello all,
I have been running BAMF 1.6.3 for a while now. All was fine. Last week I started to get a random reboot, once every couple of days or so.
Now, I no longer have the dialpad key tones, and I don't have my touch-click sounds, nor my screen lock/unlock click sounds. I have tried to do all the basic stuff to get them back, also including a Fix Permissions in ROM Manager.
Any idea on how to restore them?

Heya
This is the strangest thing ever. I'm using my Vox for around a year now, and it never happened. In the last two days, the vibration in my Vox is almost completely down!
The phone will not vibrate at all, except the regular vibration it shuts down. So I am assuming (and hoping) it's not something with the device that failed. And there is no reason for that, I really keep my cell safe, and I'm sure nothing happened to it in the past two days for sure. It just... decided it only vibrates when it shuts down, which is strange.
It really bugs me because I'm a Vibrate mode person. OK, that sounded bad. But yes - I always put my Vox on Vibrate mode, I just like it better, and since it's always in my pocket I never miss calls. So now when somebody calls it just pops it on the screen, it's like a silent mode.
I'm using Fireburned's WM6.1 CUSTOM ROM v1.0 (STABLE) for Vox. It worked fabulous for the past few weeks - so I'm guessing it's not it...
I did not install anything new in the past few days either, so it's just plain confusing. Rest of the device features seem to work as usual.
Any suggestions?
Thank you guys, so much!
I'm using the same ROM and I also have issues with the phone not vibrating.
Hmm. can you post more details Rudolfje? How long have you been using the ROM before it happened?
Sinds I'm using Fireburned's WM6.1 CUSTOM ROM v1.0 (STABLE), my phone doesn't vibrate (It vibrates only at the boot or shutdown).
I have the samy problem every now and then.
It seems that it stops working after i started some sort of process?? iven then it's random.
For me a reboot works
Could be a conflict with certain software?
I'm using fireburned's custom rom too btw
I had the same problem when I was useing Notifications in Automatic Keylock program.
I started using the Custom Rom a couple of weeks after it was released. Somewhere in January, I think.
I don't use notifications and a reboot solves the problem.
Go to start-Expert-Config Notification choose Enable Script and press OK.
This is how it worked for me.
Could it be that the automatic keylock is somehow interfering with the notification script?
I stopped using automatic keylock & screensaver and all is working well.

I am using them together again and they are working.
I've had this problem occur several times with several ROMS, with and without Keylock and Gonzo's notification scripts. I honestly have no idea what caused it and, in my ignorance, I just reloaded ROMS to fix it. Yes, I know, very helpful. I do know that it isn't happening again, despite using the same ROM as before (Gonzo's latest Rose ROM).
Hi friends, i'm tested MiUi Rom 1.5.27 for three days and i found some bug:
When i listen the music with miui music player, the phone after 20 minutes freezes screen. The only solution is to disconnect the battery from the phone!
The phone signal goes up and down and sometimes disappear!
If you find other bugs post here please!!!
thanks!
The sms FC bug is a huge one, they provided a link for the fix, but it did not work. It FC when you recieve a new message and message dissappears.
I don't get these force closes day to day. Not in normal replies and receiving. I have had it once and i know you get it if you select a contact in phonebook and choose send sms.
Man this Tom is highly unstable, the Rom earlier was pretty good with minur bugs.

Swyped by my Defy using CM-7 beta 6 with the XDA premium App
I had the same issue with the music player...happened three times while I was out running! I started a thread of my bugs on MIUIANDROID.COM in the Defy forum. I'm sure the bugs will be worked out (pray anyways)...but I hope soon as I'm loving this rom and all the sweet themes. All the different themes you can switch on the fly makes this phone completely different...it's like I get a new phone anytime I want
Right now I'm using zk buuf's theme...so friggin sweet!!! I liked the jeans one too by coolfire...all I can say is I LOVE MIUI and all these themes!
As for other bugs:
1. SMS notification tone randomly works, some times I've had the tone, other's not and just the led flashes.
2. If contact had multiple numbers, it only kept one when I synced and I lost the other numbers in that contact (e.g., kept mobile but lost home and office number).
3. This one's weird...I had wifi/gps/sync off, then dropped down notification bar and selected gps...wifi and sync turned itself on. It happened several times.
4. I downloaded the swype for gingerbread and it works great, however, when I restart phone, it reverts back to android keyboard and I have to go back into settings to select swype as default. Not a biggie, but annoying.
And not a bug...but does anyone have any idea if full screen camera/camcorder has been figured out (I've got infamous green lens).
everything is fine for me..at least for day to day use.. no fc at all..on miui since 4 days..
Bugs
Hi there,
Im on MIUI for 4 days now and I found a bug too:
-when the phone is locked and you recieve a call, sometimes "swipe down" does not work.
Beside that the translation to english wasnt done properly. I have chinese signs in the sms app and contacts left.
But Im very happy with MIUI. It looks and feels like Android should!
Where do you have Chinese characters as I don't find them in either app.
So don't be so quick to call them they work hard on translating.

I think I just figured out the music player crash problem. I am using setvsel and have the option checked for limit to vsel 1 on screen timeout. I disabled that option and have not had it freeze since. Do you have this option enabled by chance?
Hey everyone,
wasn't sure if this was a ROM specific glitch so posting it here. Basically, I use Reaper 2.1 and it's incredible. But recently it's gone a bit strange.
I had audiobooks on my phone, and last week it started playing them instead of message notifications (I use Mortplayer for them, and it didn't run when this happened). I had to delete the audiobooks to make it stop. But then, it didn't play any sounds, nor was there any vibration.
The phone doesn't seem capable of saving my sound settings at all. I change them all, and the next time I get a notification it's silent, or plays a sound I've never heard! (a random one from the list)
I stuck it on vibrate when I was waiting for a call, and lo and behold it didn't vibrate.
It's really weird and I just can't think what would have caused it. Any ideas before I full wipe and reinstall Reaper or a fancy new ICS ROM? Forgot to backup earlier, it was all going too well!

Try Titanium Backup from the Android market (now Google Play). Not only does it backup apps, it restores data and settings. Works nearly always. Even across Android versions, say from ICS to GB or Froyo. And all these can be achieved with the free version.
On the flip side, a full wipe thereafter is recommended. You might want to try Primo-S (Sense 4.0 on ICS) for a fancy ROM
Solved! It looks like the culprit was the Smooth Calendar widget...
-------------------------------------------------------------
I've had a really bizarre problem that started a couple of days ago. At that time I was rooted on the stock ICS. The first thing I noticed was that the keyboards would stop working. They'd come up, but no matter where I tried using it - GMail, Dolphin, Talk, etc - no text would be entered. The kayboard keys would flash and the autocorrect fields would populate as if I was typing normally though. This happened with both the latest Swype beta and the stock touch input. The only fix was a reboot which would help for a little while.
The other issue was the clocks not syncing up. The clock widget on my homescreen would show the current correct time, but the clock in the notification bar would be stuck on any given time for up to hours.
Here's the weird part. These issues survived a data and cache wipe and the install of a different rom. I'm now using ViperS 1.6.0. Could this possibly be a hardware problem? Nothing unusual happened between it working fine and the problem starting. No new apps, no water exposure or drops, etc... The closest thing to a cause I can think of is that some app that I had and reinstalled today was updated a couple of days ago and the new version is doing it...
Any other ideas?
Hi people from XDA,
today i tried a few things with my S7 running resurrection Rom with Android 9, which resultet in a boot loop. I tried using unofficial xposed framework and some recommended modules. This Problem got solved with a factory wipe inside my recovery.
After the wipe, i obviously had to setup my system again.
Then it happened: a constant ringing sound was heard, sounding more like a ringtone. I tried killing all background apps and playing around with the sound settings, but nothing worked. I rebootet the phone and it seemed to have solved the problem, until it started again after some time. I checked for malicious apps and all kinds of settings, including do not disturb and other stuff.
What I did find out, was the fact, that the tone was linked to the ringing volume slider/setting.
I would appreciate any help, but nothing like turning off the sound. I want to know the source and reason for it to happen.
I have some new information. The tone is played, when i have unread messages in my status bar. After opening all the messages from the bar, the tone stops. Sometimes its buggy, then it continues until there are new messages that I need to read to make it stop.
Edit: I found the "name" of the tone. i didn't find it under ringtones nor notifications, but under wake up sounds. The name was Argon, but there were two Argon Sounds, which is weird i guess. the lower one sounds more minimalistic and the upper one is the one im currently having problems with. It sounds longer and more like a "happy" tune.

OK so just delete it from system directory.
Such a simplistic idea! Thanks. Didn't thought of that. I'll try it.

Tried it, but it made some interesting things with my phone. Although the file was from alarm sounds, notifications suddenly had "19" listed as a set sound, which was actually nothing. I changed it to "none" and waited for notifications to test it. I think it worked, but i cant remember, because i had some unrelated (or maybe related?) issues. My magisk manager stated, it had no magisk installed, meaning i didnt have root anymore. I tried to reinstall magisk, but that made my device reboot after a specific time after every boot. Right now i'm trying to fix my Rom. Feels bad.
Edit: Rom works perfect again. Deleted the sound file again and it seems to work.
For now my Problem got solved by deleting Argon from the alarms folder.
If I get any more errors, I'll post them.
I'm very thankful for your answer and I hope my explanation of my problem was not problematic.
