Desire S SD Card/Music - HTC Desire S

Hi everyone,
This may be a rather unusual request. Well I seem to think so but here I am making it.
I recently formatted the SD card for my younger brothers Desire S as he was having troubles with moving apps to the sd card. Now that I have resolved that my brother tells me that he actually liked the default tracks included on the SD card and wants them. I didn't realise they were there and didn't expect them to be gone when I did the format. I backed everything else other than that.
Would it be possible for someone to share details or if possible (preferably) if they could perhaps upload them?

Thanks. You're a star!

Need some help please...Formatted SD card

I know there are a tons of threads pertaining to this elite club of members whom deleted/formatted the SD card in their HD2. They are kind of outdated and I read someone people were actually kind enough to zip/rar the entire card had had them hosted. So I'm hoping someone will be so kind enough to offer this again so I can have the original files back on the the card. I did try restoring using 3rd party software but it didn't work out for me.
For those that are looking you can find ALL the files from the SD card on demonoid.

SDHC Card Recognition on Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P6800)

Hi All,
I've seen questions similar to mine here but no answers so, at the risk of being repetitive, here's the problem that I would very much appreciate help with.
I have a new SGT 7.7 running ICS which can't be rooted so what seems to be the standard response to getting the Tab to recognize the micro SD card (in this case a 32GB Samsung Class 10 SDHC) doesn't apply. The card has been reformatted to FAT32 but I still the message, "The device does not have a real primary external storage, or the primary external storage is emulated. Moving app to SD function may not be supported by this device." The only thing that does show up on the SD card is a wallpaper butterfly I downloaded, but no apps, even those purported to be able to be moved. The move to SD card option never appears.
Kies for Mac is on my iMac and I've moved a few songs from iTunes onto it and it appears they are now on the card. However, the music does not appear anywhere on the Tab so the card is still not being recognized.
I'm totally frustrated and at wit's end. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or need to do to fix this so that I can move suitable apps, music, and photos onto the card?
Thank you so VERY much!
somebody please help me,,after upgrading from 3.2 to 4.0 ics my korean version tab cannot connect internet,,,the apn setting didn't work ,,,i guess i need to change back to honeycomb,,it works well on 3.2

Rooting P6800
Hi Whomever You Are,
No, I can't root the tablet. I'm a 67 yr. old Android novice and doing this on my old Mac is beyond my ability. I've seen nowhere that I can have it done. Also, the third direction says, "Put the created folder at your External Micro SDcard." As you noted, the SD card can't be used. Finally, the tablet is now back in Hong Kong for repair -- defective battery. Thanks anyway.
You can put the zip in internal SD. It still works.
Internal SD?!?

Hi Skycruzer,
That's interesting. I know what an external SD (card) is and what internal memory is but I've never heard of internal "SD."
What is it; where is it; and how do you put zips into it? I'm afraid there's more to this tablet than I'll ever master. Maybe
when it gets back from Hong Kong I should just send the Tab to you to root and do whatever with. How's that sound? LOL

the internal memory is call Internal SD on samsung device... same thing...

[Q] eken gc10x root/rom sdcard

I have an eken gc10x. Need root for SD card access. Can someone help me I've had two returns to the store don't wanna make it number 3.
What are you trying to do with the sdcard? There are no roms for this tablet at all. It is rooted by default and you can swap the internal and external cards for the purposes of installing games requiring large obb files but not for actual sdcard installation. I'm working on some modding with this device but I don't know the first thing about creating my own roms. I'm very knowledgeable about Linux and I've flashed a million devices so hopefully I can figure it out.

I'd be interested in this as well. I went and bought three of them for my kids around Christmas and they have been great for them...minus some odd issues. One being sound. They love Bloons TD and they can't hear the bloon pop but can hear music. Weird. Eken support was no good. I too know my way around Linux, have flashed dozens of custom ROMs and such. So...I'd love to help if I can. First thing I have been doing is looking around to see if this thing is generic enough to run another AllWinner ROM or not. BTW - I find the easiest way to get into recovery on this thing is to use Goomanager and have it boot it for you.
Let me know what I can do.
Is there a tutorial for swapping the internal and external cards for the purposes of installing games requiring large obb files?
micro sd card for my eken GC10x
I think I'm having a similar problem with my micro sd card. If I download something from the internet or a document that I create on the tablet nothing I do on the tablet will allow me to save it to my micro sd card. I can only save and download to the tablet itself and then through the file manager I can then copy stuff to the micro sd card.
Does anyone here have any suggestions on how I can actually access the micro sd card in an easier way than that? I've tried Kingo Root software but it didn't work, it didn't even recognize the tablet.
Any help with this will be appreciated. Thank you greatly in advance!
OK Guys, sorry about not responding for a long time, but life has been insane in the membrane since I first bought this pad. All yall need to do is download an app called Root External 2 Internal SD from the play store and follow the instructions. Due note that it will not allow you to fully swap and use that entire space on your SD to install the actual app to the SD, but any app that requires large files (such as games using the OBB folder) they will now default to the SD card so you can fit large games on your EKEN pad. I haven't had a whole lot of time to mess with the basic programming of the OS on this pad as I just got a new job and a new home at nearly the same time and we're still unpacking. Come to think of it, I have no idea where in my living room, under the mountains of boxes and things, this pad is right now... probably not even charged. LOL. Using my Nexus 7 32gb now. Anyway, that works well enough for the time being and you guys should be able to enjoy to big download games such as Bard's Tale and the like. ALSO, make sure to format the SD card as exFAT before you use it for this purpose, or your camera WILL NOT WORK! Fat32 is NOT acceptable for use with this swapping technique.
Cheers
Keef

What did you do to save apps on SDC instead of internal mem?

Hello everyone..
I really hope someone would respond to this post or give me ANY kind of guidance on this issue because since I switched to android and bought GP2 a week ago, I keep asking different variations of this question, on (twice on XDA, and 3 times elsewhere) and not one answer or any kind of response!!!..
I've been trying to find out a way to install apps directly on sd card, if not then to move apps to sd card after installation. I found some information online but some outdated, some vague, and some tried but somehow didnt work.
I rooted my device and tried app manager but it didn't move large apps like games to the SD card (said it did but actually didnt). I also downloaded a game that the uploader said the data folder can be saved on SD card under (android\obb\) but again it only runs when i save the data folder in this location on internal storage, but wont run if saved on sd card.
I'm not sure why did no one respond to my questions, but anyway, I'm not asking any specific question now... I just hope that anyone with couple minutes of free time can talk about how he handled this issue.
Thanks you
I think you need something like FolderMount [ROOT] or so.
You can find it on Google Play.
Apps shouldn't be running on sdcard in the first place. The data folder (obb) on sdcard makes sense but apps on sdcard should be a no go. Didn't even know why Android had that choice at a point of time.

Tablet Trouble

Long time reader, first time poster. I have learned alot from here, and I am hoping to learn a bit more.
Ok, the stats:
Polaroid Tablet model P902/A900
Android version 5.1.1 (Lollipop?)
Firmware 1.0.3
So I started this journey by rooting the tablet. KingsRoot did work for this, (a file I leaned about from this forum).
Now I have a rooted tablet, so far so good.
What I am trying to do is improve the way the tablet uses the micro sd card that I bought for it, 32mb. Well with in it's size limit of 64.
Here is the problem. It recognizes the card. But I can only get files onto it by manually copy and pasting them. There is no system option given for moving files to the sd card, pics, audio, whatever. Now my phone has options to move files to sd card, heck it will even move some apps to the sd card. This is what I want to do for the tablet because the internal storage space is limited. I have been told that tablets cannot do this. I guess I am asking if that is true. My phone can do it, why not my tablet? I have tried a couple of apps to assist me with the sd card, but have not had any success with them. The ONLY way for me to use the sd card now is to go into file explorer and copy and paste. There has to be a better way. Please if anyone knows a way to teach this dog a new trick, I would apreciate it. Thank you for your time.
