Maybe it's something else... Like battery calibration on your part, the fact that maybe you just flashed a new rom and haven't given the battery time to adjust.
That could be it. is there a setting to fix this? Or do u know of any fixes out there that can correct this issue? Thanks for the response...

android revolution. but it is inaccurate on ALL roms i have flashed
What rom would you say has the sound quality that the stock inspire has. I tried cm7s and miui's and the sound is not great. Dsp manager doesn't help much.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA Premium App
Did you flash the audio fix when running CM7 or MIUI?
Yeah but still sounds the same
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
I'm running cm7 and it sounds just like stock, try flashing a rom that is based off the inspire, and not one that is based off of desire hd. See if that solves your issue.
Ok well if your cm7 sounds like stock then where was that located so I can try it

Everything is there. Well after flashing the rom I would go and flash the newest kernel. Other than that you will be set!

Download from the first post (op). I personally prefer the bfs one.
Once downloaded booting into recovery. Select instal from SD card, to go to downloads folder and install. Then reboot!
Some people clear cache and dalvic but some dont.
O when your ready you can also try the new recovery. Link in my sig. Alot of us ninjas are using it.

Have you tried changing radio and ril? Also people, including me, have had major luck changing the apn.
Btw this stuff is not just on ninja people do it on all roms lol
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA Premium App
Haven't tried it. Sound is still weird kinda scratchy and staticy.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA Premium App
What radio do u use? You may wanna try a new one
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA Premium App
Before you jump ship on a rom please explore the other things such as the apn fix and changing radios and rils. It could be those things in your area that needs to be fixed. Dont blame the rom until you try those. I do them everytime I flash a new ninja update. Been with this rom for a while and never had an issue. Give these things a shot!
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA Premium App
Im not worried about the signal bars. Id rather have good sound quality lol

I think that pressing *#*#4636#*#* takes you to the menu where you can select that, not sure thou
Yep it does but for some reason it ignores the setting, anyone for it to work?
Seems like short of a custom rom it isn't doable.

There are some toggling apps that are capable of doing it with root permissions
