[App] Advanced App Locker free - Android Apps and Games

Ultimate App Guard protects installed applications and games from unauthorized access. Ultimate App Guard supports locking per applications basic with 8 different alternative locking methods: PIN, password, black screen, text screen, image screen, fake force close, and dial a number. One can pick a method as the default one, which can be used for most applications. She then can select other method for individual apps. The unlocking options are also very flexible: open one app can authorize for other apps too, validity period defines when the unlocking will become invalid.
Behind the traditional methods (i.e. PIN, password), black screen make the unauthorized users being surprised and dialing a number to open a secret application is also funny.
Setup Lock method
Ultimate App Guard supports four alternative methods to lock an application from un-authorized access:
Ultimate App Guard protects installed applications and games from unauthorized access. AAL differentiates from other apps by allowing one to select one among 8 alternative locking methods: force close dialog, black screen, text screen, image screen, PIN, password, pattern, and dial a number:
Other features:
☆ Select a default method, customize for each application.
☆ Flexible unlock by defining a validity period and unlocking option.
☆ Customize text screen and image screen with your own text/image (PRO)
Force close: Fake "force close" dialog when attempts to open the app, touch on the top, right corner N times to open.
Black screen: It is shown a black screen, as the phone is bricked, when attempts to open the app, touch on the top, right corner N times to open.
Text screen: It is shown a text screen with "VIRUS WARNING, Application #app_name# is infected by a virus", when attempts to open the app, touch on the top, right corner N times to open. You can customize this text
Image screen: It is shown an image screen with "STOP signal" or what ever when attempts to open the app, touch on the top, right corner N times to open. You can customize this text
PIN: type a PIN number to open the app. This is the default method.
Password: Type a password to open the app.
Pattern: Draw a pattern to unlock
Dial a number: Dial a number (ex. dial 123) to show locked apps. Click on an app to open it. It shows a black screen when attempts to open it. (PRO version only)
Unlock validity
Unlocking dialog is very annoying. You can select default behavior to make it more comfortable
Validity period: The unlock remain valid during the validity period, such as until screen off, app closed, or 5 minutes later.
Unlock one, remember for all: Once you unlock an app, it unlocks other app in the ‘validity period’
Locking apps
When AAL is opened, an application list will be shown.
Check/uncheck to lock an application with default method.
Touch on the application name to select an alternative method
You can disable or lock all applications by turn it on/off from setting screen. You change default settings from application’s setting screen.

Video demo: Youtube
Troubleshooting
Why I can not see an application? You can use ‘Rescan apps’ from main screen option menu to re-scan the application list
What can I do if my entered PIN/password is lost? We will support password recovery feature in the next releases. Don’t worry.
The black screen is very ugly, I want a cooler one: We intent to build alternative screens (such as ‘ZOMBIE WARNING’), if you have a cool idea, please email us ([email protected]) then we try to support that.
Please send bug/enhancement request to [email protected]
UPDATES
- Add custom text screen (ex. a black background with green text telling that the app is virus infected...)
- Add custom image screen (ex. zombie warning...)
- Add fake force close method

As there are many apps that lock other apps, I'll give this one a try for comparison.

wont let me download as it is not compatible with my device
edit: Droid 2 (on GB 2.3.3)

It's weird. The developer console says that this app supports all Motorola devices

Interesting app, I have been using App Locker and ZDBox to double lock certain apps, but it was getting tiresome entering 2 pins every time. I like the multiple options for unlocking, and I really like the validity period. My only concern is that AAL slipped in under my permissions-blocking app's radar, and subsequently, I have no idea what its doing in the background... such as mining and transmitting my personal info?

Hi,
Thanks for your review. The current version blocks only foreground activities, i.e when an app appears to users and request user interaction. It does not intercept any background services/data transfer.... Further, we don't request Internet permissions, so that we can send out your personal data, of cause.

yea i dont know. the File Explorer and the Group Organizer allow me no issue but it says not Compatible for the blocker...

I'm going to give it a shot.

love the app but...
i have given the app a try. im on a desire laced with cyanogen 7. what i find annoying in the app is that whenever i unlock a locked application, advanced app locker opens not the app i am trying to access (e.g CONTACTS) but the app locker itself.
any work around for this?

I see the bug,
If you open it, change something and press HOME button (that the app goes in background, not "finish"), then when you unlock an app, this app will appear.
I will try to fix this soon.
Thanks for your report

I installed it, but I can't do to lock the apps. I selected the Handset and Messagin for test it, and when I opened there, lock pin didn't appear. :S

Thanks, this works perfectly! I apply the lock with the black screen and then hide the app from the app drawer with launcher pro and nobody will ever know

I intent to extend the "black screen" option, such as show an "ZOMBIE WARING" message or a very simple game as Tic tic toe instead of "black screen". Do you have any suggestion?

Hmm. Those are great ideas. I like using black screen because it would just make people think that the app crashed, or doesn't work.
Many people would be suspicious if they tried to snoop my gallery and are greeted with a game of tic tac toe
Great idea though! Maybe I'll try it if you implement it.

this looks good.. im gonna try in on my mytouch4g..... been using app protector pro for the longest just because i like the pattern unlock function but i guess i can get used to not having it!

Would it be possible to have a widget or shortcut I can have on my homescreen that toggles app lock on and off (with pin) ?
I only want apps locked when I give the phone to someone I don't know to play with, so having a quick way to toggle it would be great

Working like a charm though it's a pity that the notification does not get away once it's read
Anyways, awesome job, I know there's a lot of people who has been waiting to something like this :good:
try to make the UI more holo-like.. to blend in.
add a little blue/grey. but not too much background transparency.
Thanks for the feedback:
1. Notifications clear - I'm planning to implement full notifications clear when screen is unlocked, any thoughts on this?
2. Holo look - I'll raise opacity to 75% (currently it's 50%), I think this will make the gray and blue colors more noticeable.
Love it so much!
I hope it has a option that do not turn on the screen when a new notification arrives.
Thanks!

how about creating an option to let the users decide the background opacity?
default is the original JB grey..
edit: can you also implement -> slide to remove (individual remove per app notifications)?
also i noticed your permissions are "prevent phone from sleeping"
why is it that way? means our phone wont go into deep sleep right? :S

" Slide to dismiss" is impossible to implement on lock screen widgets (or any widgets at all). Must have buttons.
The permission is needed to turn the screen on when notification arrives. The phone will act normally and will go to deep sleep if needed.
This looks very promising, especially with a Holo theme
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
This would look great with a few design changes, i.e. a more holo/4.2 look.
I hope there will be settings available to control things like opacity, which apps/notifications to show, privacy options, etc.
I wish you all the best and look forward to using your invention

[GUIDE]Setup a permanent beautiful Samsung-like replacement for ur default lockscreen

Hi everybody.
Today I present here a Samsung s3 like lockscreen replacement which will actually replace your default lockscreen and you'll never need to launch that app after a reboot to activate it (I know its too annoying :-\ )
HERE I WANT TO MENTION THAT I HAVEN'T CREATED THIS APP. I'M ONLY SHARING IT HERE
This, let me tell u, is the BEST lockscreen out there to get you rid of that default one. Also this doesn't consume your ram as go locker and others do so you won't sacrifice performance for beauty. What else could you want !!!!
Here's how to go about it :-
1. Download the apk file from the attachments.
2. Install the apk as a system app (IF U DONT KNOW HOW TO then first install it as user app and then use titanium backurp to convert it to a system app )
3. After the installation long touch on ur desktop.
4. Choose the following - Shortcuts>Activities>Touch the name "unlock screen">Choose the second activity.
5. Touch the icon that just appeared and first enable the lockscreen.
6. Now choose the Set sceen lock option and choose swipe.
7. Now u can change wallpapers and shortcuts to be shown on the lockscreen as u wish.
Although there aren't many features here but this lockscreen is permanent and will not affect performance at all.
Congrats !!!! You've just set up your phone's lockscreen to be completely like Samsung GS3.
Whenever you want to disable the lockscreen or uninstall the app all u need to for is disable the screen from the settings of the app and then uninstall.
If u have any queries, post them here and I'll answer u as soon as possible.
I have also attached some screenshots for u to see if you're unable to understand anything. Also if you like the app then post it here and rate the thread well. (I can't force you to thank me but if you liked the app then why not )
ENJOY THE BEAUTY.........
DON'T FORGET TO HIT THE THANKS BUTTON IF THIS HELPED YOU
I've installed it as system app but when I long-press my desktop there is no "Activities" option under "shortcuts". :crying:
Edit: I've managed to get it working by downloading a shortcut creator app from the playstore. It's nice but I stick to my default lockscreen because of two things:
1. The app still shows under my running applications consuming around 2-6mb of RAM acceptable but;
2. It does not have notifications for unread sms and missed calls?
Thanks still.

Hi, I just tried giving a missed call to my phone and found that it does show a notification which is a semi-transparent round icon at the centre of the screen. Also u can add a shortcut to the call log app for direct access to missed calls and a message icon for messages.
Hi can you help me again? I uninstalled this app without deactivating it as device administrator, it went well except for a few expected forced closes which was easily resolved by rebooting my device. A few days after I wanted to give this app another shot, installed it as system app but when I try to create a shortcut I only have one activity to choose from that is "settings". It still activates as my locker but I wanted it to be a device administrator again. By not being a device admin my default locker shows up for while during boot-up until the app loads and takes over the lock. When it as installed as a device admin it was instant upon boot. Hope you can help solve my problem which is primarily why doesn't it show up among the device administrator choices anymore?

Hello. This app (being installed as a system app) doesnt need to be a system administrator. Also you can't install an app that has the status of system administrator without disabling it. Therefore I assume that you've missed something in the description. As or the problem of the other locker app taking over, the simplest solution would be to uninstall that app. Post again here if this didn't solve the issue.
Hello, thanks for the reply. After days of having this app as my default lockscreen, my "complaints" are probably not worth it (especially the device administrator thingy ^^). It's working flawlessly, default lock is not showing up anymore. So it stays as my default lockscreen. And by the way there is a missed SMS notification after all. Again thank you! :good:

This is an amazing app!!
1st: I want a promocode to get the full app
2nd: I want to help you to translate into Spanish (my native language) (obiously for free).
I will be waiting...
Thank you!!!
Great app.
1. I would suggest for Relock Policy to add the option: Lock when screen is off
2. a transparent theme would be nice showing once own wallpaper behind the lock screen
3. Third eye takes pictures but does not send them to the email address
4. Android System is locked. i.e. I try to open a YouTube link but have no default app, so first I have to unlock Android System in order to choose an app to open the link. Can't find a way to switch that off, it's a bit annoying
5. Could you add a dark theme for the app
6. Also I would use color to show that an app is selected to be locked. I have showed your app to several people and most agreed it's not always clear whether the lock is inactive (grey) or active (black).
PS still waiting for Promo Code

Hi. I will go straight to the point. This app needs a lot of work. I don't mean any bad publicity or any mean comment or anything like that. But from what I have seen in my experience with my phone, it is easy to go around the app and get to the locked app. I have "long press back to kill" enabled in my developer options. When I launch a presumed locked app, I just have to long press my back button and it kills the lock of your AppLockZilla and the locked app launches like there was nothing to lock at all.
My previous app lock didn't have this security breach so I quickly went back to it.
You have to fix it very quickly enough because now that some people know it, things can happen. Sorry.
Brilliant. One question, is there a way to disable to lock on "Android System"? Every time I need to select an app to complete an action I have to input my code

Than kyou for pointing out the bug, you dont need to apologize. How will i improve the app if you dont find issues with it ?
It would be helpful though if you could tell me what app locker you have been using so that i could test it and do the same with AppLockZilla. Thanks!

Another problem I have found, is that the it keeps the phone awake alot. BetterBatteryStats shows it has caused 98% of the wakeup alarms. So had to uninstall for now because that was using alot of battery. Its a shame because I really like the app, will use again when its fixed
Trully inovative features! I'm gonna take this for a spin! Thanks!

It would be helpful though if you could tell me what app locker you have been using so that i could test it and do the same with AppLockZilla. Thanks!

Alright. Cool! It is a good app BTW. I really liked the knock code like feature that it has l like the LG G3 (Tap lock). It was this feature I was using when I found the bug.
The app lock app I'm using right now is called Droid Protector by @1tek. It is really simplistic, but when I tried your app I liked it and its features until I found the bug. So I went back to the previous one.
Hope I helped!

Another problem I have found, is that the it keeps the phone awake alot. BetterBatteryStats shows it has caused 98% of the wakeup alarms. So had to uninstall for now because that was using alot of battery. Its a shame because I really like the app, will use again when its fixed

I really like the media vault, two things to that.
1st is it possible to have/make "folders" or "categories" in the vault? So that I can sort them?
2nd I was not sure at first how to select a picture or video, even though (after reading the FAQ - which is great that's included in the app) it's obvious that long pressing would work. I was looking for little check fields in the pics and vids. Long pressing is better, maybe you can make a pop-up or write it on the background of the vault. "Long press file/picture/video to select"
I also think that a file vault would be a great idea.

[APP][4.3+][C Notice]Floating Notification

Allow me to introduce my app here:
<<I created my apps mainly based on "C"onvenience and "C"ustomization. that's what my app's name "C" stands for>>
C Notice:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ccs.notice&ah=dTx4mbmLYrMc6lw9MjuDlXRLp7A
Receive floating notifications from selected applications and keep track of everything that is important to you, all without needing to access your phone's status bar and directly from the lock screen. Experience a very clean & simple floating window design with a unique colored header display. Upon receiving a new notification C Notice displays a visual reminder of the individual application in the form of a floating icon. All notification icons float on top of any other application and can therefore be accessed and interacted with at any time you want, until dismissed. Make additional use of swipe gestures on icons to trigger quick actions (open, expand, dismiss,...) and interact with notifications of all kind with ease.

really nice app !
But would be nice to have the option : not showing notification over lock screen.....
Hey OP I just got done buying the pro key and leaving you 5* on Play Store...came over here to tell you that I am seriously in love with your app.
It really used to be such a pain in the ass accessing the status bar/notification panel on my OnePlus One, my fingers are not long enough to just swipe it without having to move my whole hand, and your app has solved this problem. Besides that, the ability to see my notifications floating windows without having to open the entire app saves so much time. This is definitely one of my favorite apps so thanks again, and anyone who sees this but has not installed the app yet, go check it out, it's great!!!
(BTW I'm on Mahdi ROM 4.4.4, stock kernel, tons of Xposed modules and scripts running and haven't experienced any compatibility issues w/ this app)

Good App mate.
Nees to test mot. Will post review after some workaround the app
I'm recieving double pop-ups when using Whatsapp. Can it be lollipop maybe?
Love the app, been looking for something with the bubble part of the Halo functions
Been working with it last two weeks or so, found a bug, or what I think is a bug - play store notifications gets auto cleared.
Great app!
Great app, thx a lot! But, is it ok for this app to consume almost 200 Mb of RAM?
Hello. How can i uninstall this app?
In settings i cant tap to uninstall, it has grey color. Thanks

I love this app, I missed halo but liked having MW and PW that stock based Samsung ROMs give and this gives me a halo feel. Could it be possible to have a feature that if you do have Pen Window, when you click the notification the app would open in a pen window? Even if you made it a premium feature I'd pay for that.
I've been using C Notice and C Locker for a few days. Both have great potential, both well worth to buy the premium version.
Focusing on C Notice, it can be a very viable replacement for Floatification. As I've read and experienced, the dev for Floatification is not all that responsive and it's been buggy. Searching for a more capable replacement is what led me to C Notice.
A few requests:
1) Allow the notice/popup to directly delete (for example, Gmail) messages, and directly reply on those apps that have those functions in the notification bar.
2) Have a separate setting for timeout for lockscreen and unlocked. This is how I want to use it: Lockscreen--the display DOES NOT turn on automatically, but when I turn on the screen, I want to see the notifications. After a period, I want the notification to timeout and go away--this is so that the screen will automatically turn off. As you know, if C Notice stays on the lock screen, the display won't turn off. This is useful if I bumped my phone and the screen turned on. This way, it will turn off automatically after a few seconds.
While I am using the phone--I want C Notice to appear and not timeout until I act on it. When I am in the application that initiated the notification, though, I do not want C Notice to pop up (very simlar to a function available in Floatification).
If the above two are implemented, C Notice can completely replace Floatification.
3) For future consideration--to allow seperate Gmail and Hangouts notification--allow the selection of specific Gmail accounts and lables and specific Hangouts accounts for notification.
I'd gladly pay several times the current premium price....
Thanks for your work.
I had C Notice on my Samsung 3 and, so I thought, it would ring back at set times for reminders that I had not dismissed. Now, in my Note 5 I cannot find the option. Have I lost my mind?
How do I Uninstall c notice
Can You make the same style of round notification i cnotice as in the clocker? Now on cloker I can watch a preview of sms email etc. and have the contact photo on notify icon. On cnotice I have the number of unread notifications but not on cloker.
Please make same options in both of Your apps.
Is it possible to enable/disable this app from for example Tasker?
Regards Peter
Could you add quick reply feature like in Floatify?

Hi @Flyview cool concept. You asked for feedback. I think you should allow the transitions to be slower 2 seconds is to fast.
I don't really understand the seconds of the transition is it random ?
You might want to show a small overlay as a tutorial on first start I found the one tap to pause which is nice and the two tap to like, but I liked a picture without knowing what the 2 tap would do and I don't know which one it was
I'd like a go back feature too, if you see a picture and right when it disappears you notice something but you can't go back, so just a see previous like a swipe right.
Living in Paris I learned with your app that most pictures on instagram are of the Eiffel tower
Getting a blank screen many times.

It will show a new picture whenever there is a new one available (up to minimum of every second), this will be configurable. I have to think of a good way to show previous pictures. I was thinking the old ones would become scrollable below but if someone new comes to the app they may think it's like Instagram where the point is to scroll down. And yes, intro overlay should be added as well. That's awesome about Paris haha!

good idea, but this is what I get right after connecting. no access to anything!
btw does it work with gps only or can it localise based on network?
Cool idea but I think the suggestions above are a must. Keep it up man

Hmmm that's not good. Do you have Google apps installed? What's your Android OS and ROM? It'll work with whatever location provider is available, GPS is not necessary.
Do you mean "Google apps device policy"? no
I run 4.4.2 on Asus A86 device
@Flyview nice app i have few suggestions
1. Ability to select the distance range for nearby pictures
2. Ability to click the user of the pic uploader, which takes directly to their profile so that we can follow them.
3. Custom picture refresh time.
4. Add an overlay which has buttons to Pause/Play Previous/Next buttons.
tried uninstall, reinstall and login.
there is an error warning warning telling me i have to enable cookies in my browser, or disable private mode? then this blank screen all the time. only way to reach login page is uninstall/reinstall

Oh ok that makes sense then. You need to enable cookies in Chrome (or whatever browser the Instagram login page is using). Otherwise LivePics can't log you in to your Instagram account.

well i checked and cookies are enabled in every browser installed: default, chrome, firefox, opera. not sure witch one instagram is using. will dig deeper in settings.
Same problem, I only get a white screen. Running KiKat on a stock TMobile Note 3. Tried clearing data. Hangs on login screen usually, then it will give the login/cookies error message. If I get past that, back to white screen. Tried uninstalling, then reinstalling - same results.
04/14 - update installed this week - fixed the problem - working fine now.

I will see if it's anything that could be off in the code, a few people seem to be experiencing this. Any more info is appreciated.
