on my phone activesync conts to restart on its own. I think that is what the OP is asking about. No need to be rude and tell him not to ask again.
There are 2 ways. You can do it using memmaid or the registry. Using memmaid open the 2nd tab (sorry don't have phone in front of me and don't know the name of it) then delete the middle repellog log. when you click the box to delete it shows as 'afterappchange' that's the one to delete.
Or try this...look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1795612&postcount=17
Or try this:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=421564&postcount=90
unfortunatly, all methods i've tried didn't work
you can try and use elias's ASyncKiller... hope it works for you.
there is a reg tweak which im sure works but just cant remember where i found it, ill search and get back..............

Hi
Can anyone help me change 'My phone number' in 'Settings' - 'About Phone' - 'Status' - 'My phone number?
It is showing the original number of the sim card rather than my ported actual number.
Thanks in advance

You can't. It will always show the phone number attached to the SIM Card.
When your port is complete(and your new old number is attached to the SIM card), restart your phone and it should update accordingly. I had this issue when I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile.
this is data from the SIM.
i believe is is part of the protected data where general card reader cannot change. they can only read.
if you want to edit, you would need something like below.

I think that the phone number on the SIM can be edited with an iPhone.
shrivelfig is right, some phones can edit this number. Mine was showing "Unknown", so I put my sim card in an iPhone eek, and I could set my number by going to the Settings -> Phone menu. I did some research for the possibility to edit it from Android (with the help of an external app for ex) but didn't find a solution
OK - thanks for all your replies.
My wife has my old iphone so I'll try and put the sim in there and edit the number as it doesn't pick up the number when i've turned off and back on my Nexus.
Cheers

I'm actually considering getting an old iphone from eBay just for this. Oh the shame!
In the meantime, please star this issue:

Not on the stock Nexus S.
Who the hell would want to run a stock Nexus S????
Nevermind save your responses, could care less but that's the point of this phone
Just another reason to run CM... among the 100 other reasons.

I want to run a stock Nexus S.
How do you know so much about what the point of this phone is? Do you work at Google? Are you Jesus? Or perhaps just his father?
And while we're on the subject of knowledge: the correct expression is "couldn't care less".

I DO know that it takes about the same amount of time to root & install a modded rom and fix the OP's issue as it does to write your little rant there.
Go into Contacts -> [Menu] -> More -> Settings -> Own numbers -> [Menu] -> Create and type your phone number into the Number field, now Save.
Then switch your phone off and on again, and it should show the correct number (or whatever number you entered) in the status now.

Hey man, don't forget the Nexus S is meant to be the flagship "pure" Google/Android device so many, many people keep it stock for that reason. Not everyone here wants to trade the stability and consistency of the stock Android experience for a bunch of hacker mods. Sure hacking can be great fun but surely you realize its not the "point" of this phone.

I know you asked this years ago but if you're still around did you ever get this resolved? It's driving me bonkers.

I don't know how you can tell a post is read. Posts are not like emails, where you have to open them to read them. I think the closest you can get is thread level.
I set my preference to show newest post first and then subscribe to the thread requesting notification. That way i get a notice i can follow right to the latest post in the thread, or i can go to the latest post when i open that thread.
That may be as close as you're going to be able to get.
To set preferences, if you go to "Control Panel" under your user name (top right), click on "Edit Options" on the left side and roll down to "Thread Display Options" you can select how you want threads displayed. You can go here to see what the choices mean.
Not having the latest post first isn't too bad on the desktop on a 30" monitor, where it bothers me is in the XDA app and these settings keep the current posts first. That wasn't working for me on the settings in the app.

Thanks a million. Unfortunately I've done this is 3 different browsers and it still takes me to the first post instead of the last or "newest" so It's very frustrating. I am on a 27" iMac and even get the same thing in windows so it's got to be something with my account but my subscriptions are set to newest first and I even reset browsers and changed the theme of XDA and it's STILL not working. What's ironic is that the XDA and Tapatalk apps work perfect for me whereas you stated they don't for you so we have just the opposite issues. Lol. It's driving me mad lol
Thanks for the reply. I'm going to create a new account as a test and see if that does anything. I'll report back. +1

I've been looking at this forum for a long time now & on some people posts, I see them write what time of phone they have as well as the roms & kernels that they're using. Can anyone point me to where I can do this myself? I know it has something to do with signature, I just don't know where to find it. Thanks for the help.
You can look up on here xda and search what type of phone you have ND look at your specific carrier with model of device and it should have tabs giving you choices of roms for that phone and kernels. Hope this helped or Google it.

That could be it. Well, thanks for the help. Let me get to posting.
Device my previous, Jumped me a message when I came in to whatsapp..
And I ignored her all the time. Then a few days ago I moved to the new device my:
galaxy s7 edge... And when I put up the updates to whatsapp, And I walked in, and I registered, the app, I saw in Account Settings, That appears to me at V-sharing with Facebook!!!
So I removed the v, And then it completely disappeared. All the definition.
Now I want to make sure that nothing will be shared with Facebook,
Is there a way to do it? (Please say yes )

Open WhatsApp on your phone tap the action overflow button in the upper right corner and select Settings.
Select Account.
Tap the check mark to the right of Share my account info.
To disable the feature, tap Don't Share. You already did this so yep that's pretty much all you can do,your details won't be shared
