I'm not to sure if this can work but there is a live wallpaper in cm7 that I wanted to use in shifty sense based rom. I've tried poking around in the zip folders to see if I could get it that way, but I'm not having any luck.
Lol, which lwp?
Sent from my PG06100 using XDA Premium App
Have you tried backing it up in Titanium Backup and then restoring it once you switch?
It was the nexus lwp, but cm7 had options you could choose. I figured it out by installing cm7 copy and pasting the lwp apk and saving it to my sd card. Then pasted the apk into shifty's zip file. It over wrote the lwp that came with sense but I didn't care because I only wanted the one wallpaper.
Go in the market and install Nexus Revamped there's a free and paid version, lots of options for colors, sizes, speeds, etc.

Original thread
Features
-It does not include the Samsung widgets
-It does work on Froyo and Eclair... I'm running it on the DamageControl Rom
-1 to 7 homescreens
-Application Dock
-App drawer is iphone like style
I would recommend you download the app "Home Switcher" from the market, if you didn't already... Makes it very easy to switch between home replacement apps, and set as default.
Download
TO ADD APPS TO THE DOCK, open up the all the applications by pressing the applications tab, then press menu, then press edit, and drag your apps to the dock as you wish.
Heres some pictures
nice contribution. thanks

You are using the built-in application installer most likely, try something like Apkatcher and try installing it again.
Can't get it apkatcher just shows black screen with cancel button

working perfect and uses less memory than stock htc launcher
Im running the current ota update stock and loaded this launcher perfectly ( allow install of third party apps under settings, used apollo file manager). All you need is the samsung widgets plus the 4g toggle ( look in other posts) and you have the epic without a keyboard. Thank you for the option. Love android. PS apple i have reception no matter how i hold my big a$$ phone.

It did that for me as well, I had to download with a computer, then transfer the files to the phone. For some reason when I downloaded directly with the EVO, the file kept getting cut off at 13kb. The file is like 1.5mb
Can someone who's downloaded this and installed it successfully please upload the. apk to RapidShare or something? The problem is that download link lists the file at 1.4mb but when you actually download it the file only ends up being 13kb or something. I believe there is something wrong with that particular download link/site. Thanks
EDIT: posted this before I saw the post above. Sorry and thanks

First, thank you for this, I love it! Second, is it possible to remove the dots at the top? My taskbar already looks busy enough...

Edit: Only on the main screen, the dots on the apps page is useful.
Not without rewriting the apk...you can do it...don't think its worth the time

When I do a full restore with TB, all of my widgets are replaced with the dreaded "Widget Missing" error. Some of my widgets take a bit of formatting so this is a REAL PAIN.
When you nandroid it saves all of your widgets and restores them. Why can't an app be written that does the same? Or can nandroid be configured to replace your homescreens just as they were even if you do a full wipe and flash a new rom?
I know launcher pro and adw both have settings to backup your homescreens. Works great as long as the apps are already installed.

But these will not reload your widgets, only their positions.

What does that have to do with this thread?

I guess my point is that if Nandroid can save widgets, why can't we write an app that does the same? How does Nandroid save them? There must be a file somewhere that tells Android where to place your widgets. Where is it and how do we save it?

I think that settings are a part of Rosie.apk for Sense.....when we Nandroid, it takes a dump of the whole system and saves it.....Saving the settings of Rosie is a little more difficult and I think thats why we dont see multiple apps in the bottom Stock Rosie launcher as well
^ to my knowledge

Nandroid makes an image of various partitions on your phone. It's like taking the bag full of goodies instead of taking them out one by one.
Much less difficult than saving and restoring specific settings.
I restored using adw ex and it put my widgets right back in place. In a sense rom and cm 6.1.1.

You mean no little "Problem Loading Widget" placeholders? That alone would be reason to switch to adw ex.

Don't know which version of ADW Ex you are using but I just tested it and it does NOT reload your widgets. I had 4 widgets on my homescreen and every one got replaced by the "Problem Loading Widget" message.
Damn damn damn and I had such high hopes too. Grrrr.
Why the hell is this so hard?
Idk if this is what you mean. I use tb and after batch restoring apps I use batch restore system data but only select the sense desktop. This restores all widgets and shortcuts. For some reason it will overlay two copies of shortcuts/widgets on top of one another so drag the extra to trash. Is this what you meant?

This isn't an OS restriction. The real way to correct this is to make your default.xml located in /system/customize/MNS. This file is what presets your Scenes, widgets & shortcuts. I can easily remove things but I haven't figured out how to completely figure out how it all works. If someone does figure it out, let me know.
I too have the same issue as the OP... quite annoying since I flash every few days
So I've been trying to use ninjamorph to change the icons for regular apps I download (for example, the game alchemy). I load up a new project, and swap the icon.png with one that is identical in size. When I finish up the project and reboot, the app is no longer there - I can't seem the get it to work at all! All I did was change an icon. Is there something I am doing wrong or missing?
NinjaMorph can be finicky ... If the "replacement" .png's are not on the Root of the SD they "sometimes" won't load properly.
Also, when asked if you want to ZipAlign... say no.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
I had problems with Ninjamorph, took me a lil to figure out, but I had my new icons in a folder called "Red Icons" and the icons wouldn't change. I removed the space and haven't had any other issues.
Sent from my DROID2 using XDA Premium App
Its always best to move the pngs to the Android Themes folder created by ninjamorph. And don't put them in another folder. The icon will disappear after editing it but should return after a reboot. Try putting the pngs you want to use in the Android Themes folder though and I know it will work.

Anyone know of any lock screen apps or mods that will show my battery charging percent. My current rom only shows a lightning bolt. I would like a percent number.
Thanks.

Try our "Ripple Lock" from the market. It has options and you can enable battery percentage

WidgetLocker is awesome, and you can put your battery percentage right on the lockscreen. Totally worth the money.
I'm loving MiLocker and it's free in ghe Market. There are also hundreds of different lockscreens that can be loaded into it.
Attached a pic of my Lockscreen using MiLocker.
Yup, that's what my lockscreen looks like. Swipe the center down to unlock. Left side to open the Dialer and Right side to open SMS.
I love milocker myself tons of lock screens to choose from.

MiLocker
you can try miLocker, its free.
Is there a way to either remove the language on the milocker cos there isn't a setting where you can choose your preferred language for date and time. Not hating on Chinese, but I'd prefer everything to be consistently in english. Thx

You can edit the lockscreen, it's a zip without the zip extension.
Or keep looking, there are a lot of English only lockscreens.
Look for one called Ash Bolt. I'll list more when I get home.

Perfect thx. As far as editing goes, what tools are needed? I'll also look into the suggested one.

Here are a couple. The one named FivePoint_eng will show up in MiLocker as Testing. I never went back in to change it.
Do not rename, just copy each one to the MIUI/theme folder on the sdcard.
Ash Bolt comes with it's own wallpaper, but you can change it in the MiLocker menu. Five Points does not have it's own wallpaper.

You need to unzip the .mtz file, then unzip the lockscreen file, inside you'll find a file called manifest.xml. That's the one that you'll need to edit to make it English only.
When you unzipped the mtz there was a file called description.xml, that's where the name of the lockscreen is located plus someother info.
Then just zip each back up working in reverse.

Update: okay I have the testing theme set and running well. Thx again for those. As for doing the language edit, failed miserably with that. I guess I just need to get schooled a little on zipping those files back into .mtz file formats. The couple of times I tried it, the theme doesn't show up on my SD card. Back to the drawing board for me.

I hate all the App shortcuts being in a big bunch in the Apps Menu. Is there any good apps that I can use to allow me to make folders I can sort them into ?
I would like to root my Xoom and put a newer version on but I don't get all the tech speak and jarganisum now.
Thanks
Most launchers support folders, but folders are only on the home pages. I don't know of any launchers that allow you to sort your apps into folders.

Go Launcher did, but it didn't look as good on the XOOM so it went. . Was looking for a simple app.
Sent from my MZ604 using xda premium
It wouldn't be a simple app. It would have to be a launcher that supported it.
Well this one doesn't need a launcher. I tried it didn't like it. The layout was'nt what I wanted. Also it tried to be to much.
But deff no launcher needed.
''Application Folder'

For serious, I think you should the Nova Launcher, you can create "tabs" with it and organize the way you want the apps, these tabs are the "apps" and "widgets" by default, but you still can create a tab called "games" for example! Good luck.

I was going to suggest the MIUI launcher but then remembered we never got one that supports the Xoom.
