Make sure the case is on tight.
Im sure it could, the battery cover has the LTE, evdo, and gps antenna built in it as well. Could be an issue with the way your cover was built. The antenna for 1x voice is by the rubber plug below the kickstand (not in the battery cover).

hey guys
i luv this phone exept one thing really pissing me off is the battery cover
whenever i squeeze it makes squeeking sounds
and it feels really loose
is their anyway to make it seem more hard/not squeeky
I have had two of these phones now and have not had this problem. Have you had it a long time and is it worn?

I've had three of these and all except this one have the problem. Are you using the anker battery by any chance?

No squeaks here.

Ya I've had 2 of these phones and they both squeek like hell n I do have. Anker

When you're typing, right? And it seems to be coming from the closest edge to the space bar, where your fingers support the phone? I think it's a combination of the anker battery being too thick and the battery cover curving the wrong way.

Ditto.
Do you guys with squeaks have cases on your phone? I'd guess not (but could be wrong) and while an imperfect solution maybe a case of some sort would alleviate some of the issue?

I don't use a case. That theory doesn't work.
Exactly what I was thinking, but so far haven't found one with the profile I prefer yet.

Could someone tell me exactly how many antennas is in an infuse?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
One that I know of, located near the charging port.
2 according to what I just googled. Cell at the bottom and a smaller Bluetooth/WiFi on the left.
I mean antennas for cell signal, I know it either has 3 or 4 I just don't know which one

A third and better choice:
The 2100 MAH Samsung Galaxy Nexus extended battery. See this thread:

I got two of the Anker 2025's, and am pretty happy with them. But, I wanted something I could grab between work meetings, etc. These batteries are stable and cheap, around the same amount of run time as the stock battery
If you're looking for something that offers more talk time I'd go for the nexus battery

It bulges a bit
Thinking about coming back to the one s. Saw kernel source was released. Should i jump ship?

I personally wouldn't return to the One S, had to many issues with it. Also the S3 has better battery, screen, more ram, storage. Only thing I miss is sense but touch wiz is holding up just fine

Hmm, did you root? WiFi could be a boot.img problem. I've not had signal issues but flashing the latest radio or the eu radio fixed it for others. What? The One S has great battery. I get almost six hours of heavy usage [Games, Web, Music at the same time]. The only thing I wish for is more access to ram. There is no reason I should only have 200 free mbs.
Go to one s. It's tied at first for a reason. I have NO problems. Signal is great and very fast with great battery. Chicago
Signal great WiFi never had problem battery hmm decent can be better

Im curious to hear about your SGSIII issues
Shouldnt this be in gs3 forums ?

Have you made the switch yet? I PM'd you about a possible trade
Might just return it because I'd be losing money if I traded it straight away. Ill get refunded the gs3 from t-mobile there is a huge difference in price between the two.

Exchange is done coming back to the one s. Phone is great just not 279 on a new contract great. Maybe when it's more developed I'll come back when its cheaper on an upgrade but by then new stuff will be out.

Gs3 is officially on its way back and rocking the one s again unlocked, rooted using axiom 1.6, twrp and latest eu radio. Reception has been awesome and holds steady no matter what. I do lose service at home which seems to be an issue with low signal strength on 4g and not rolling over to edge. Not a big deal because wifi is available at home. This phone just feels completely better than the gs3 and is definitely faster! Plus I have 75gbs of free drop box space ;-) so that makes up for any storage issues between the two.
How can the one s be faster than gs3? Gs3 is quad core

I'm looking for a samsung infuse 4g battery door since I lost mines. The thing is I have only $4.29 at this time in my paypal account. Does anyone has a used battery door that can sell it to me for this price? Thanks in advanced.

Any case should work without the baterry being loose. Or just stick a wad of paper in between

I have 2, pay for shipping and I'll send one out. I only use extended batteries so I have no need for a stock cover.
