So I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for the Pandigital Multimedia Novel. It is Android OS but sadly it is not connected to the Android market. The market it does have is a bit limited but it can support most 3rd-party applications so I was wondering what applications you can recommend. This tablet doesn't have mobile functions, just wifi internet capabilities.

Does anyone know of a windows mobile version of this app? Essentially it is like an Akai MPC with programmable pads that can be used as a real-time sequencer. I have searched the net to no avail so I suspect not but this would be awesome on the HTC HD2!
Moved as not software release.
This is the best i have found PhoenixStudio 1.1
So verizon fios have a couple of mobile apps available one is the remote dvr which is available in WM marketplace.
The other app they have is the mobile remote, which lets you uses your phone to directly control the fios box (change channels, throw slideshows up from the phone to the TV etc etc etc). The mobile remote app is listed as being supported on the a bunch of devices, however the only WM device listed is the touch pro2, everything else is Android...
Now i'm assuming that if its supported on the TP2, then there should be a cab out there somewhere for it right???
I WANT THIS RUNNING ON MY HD2... (i played with it in android running on HD2 and its really cool - but i had stability issues with the android build)
Couple of web links with info on the app and PR announcing devices that were added:

there must be someone out there with some thoughts on this?
Did you get this working on your phone?
Hello everyone,
I'm a iOS Developer (yeah yeah darkside blah blah) who recently bought a Sony TV with Google TV. I really love the interface, and i absolutely love the fact that the system is on an android platform. I think thats just really neat.
One thing that does bug me is that of course the system supports no apple-specific stuff, and it seems to me with all of the hacking of the AirPlay protocol (with AirBubble for android and the myriad of Mac/PC applications), it should be quite doable to write a android app that can receive an Airplay Stream, Thus saving the $99 for that stupid apple TV.
So, would anyone be interested in developing this with me? or at the least, would anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction with some resources?
Thanks all!

Hi,
I want to set up a whole house media center, I have a xbmc server running in my house and a windows 7 pc which I can stream from also.
I have seen applications for andriod like 2player and skifta which allow me to stream music from these devices and it offers the ability to stream to other devices.
Can anyone advise me how I could set up a second android phone as a receiver. Since android phones are now so cheap I think it would be quite nice to have multiple android devices to act as receivers around my home.
I would aim to start a application like 2player on my own personal phone, choose my pc or xbmc server as source and then choose the music to play on one of the android phone.
Can anyone advise how to set this up as I don't know how to get the android phones to listen for streams.or even any alternative suggestions?
thanks in advance,
Dec
Hi guys,
Just to update this post last night I spent a bit of time researching this.
I found another app called "bubble upnp" which works as a dlna dmr.
I can see it all starting to come together now. I was able to stream from my xbmc server to another android phone running bubble upnp and using 2player on my own phone as the control point.
I am happy with this but I'm not sure if these are the best app's for this?
Also I think there maybe a small issue with power usage. I don't want to leave WiFi running on the end devices all the time. And or the dlna dmr app if possible.
I think sms gps can remotely turn on WiFi aswell as gps so this maybe a simple work around.
But not sure how to launch an app remotely on android phone.

Hi everyone
I've had a self-build HTPC (Zotac ION atom mini itx) sat under my TV for many years which I would now like to kill off.
Most local video/audio streaming duties have been replaced by a Raspberry Pi + OpenElec which works perfectly, so I will keep that in place.
But thanks to Microsoft I still end up using the HTPC for Sky Go (Silverlight) and Skype. And iPlayer/ITV Player etc.
So I'm in the market for some sort of Android box/stick to which I can hook up a USB webcam for Skype. (I have a MS Lifecam HD which is superb, no idea whether that will be compatible with Android)
I know the Sky Go and iPlayer apps are extremely fussy when it comes to Android version and typically the device cannot be rooted.
And certain Android boxes work with certain webcams etc.
Just wondering if anyone has found an un-rooted box that works with a decent variety of webcams, stable with Skype, iPlayer + Sky Go apps?
Ideally controllable with some sort of airmouse or ir remote.
Any suggestions for sticks/boxes/remotes?
Cheers, B
Try installing Android x86 on the HTPC. You have to root to get gApps, which it is very hard to find a compatible version.
Android-x86.net
Android-x86.org has 4.4, but has gApps.

Interesting idea. But ideally I'd like to get rid of the HTPC because it's quite big (mini ITX), quite noisy (fans need replacing) and most likely uses quite alot more power than a TV box/stick.
