Ok, I know quadrant scores are easy to tweak, but lets have ourselves a little drag race. Remember, we can't tell if you are cheating, but it's no fun if you are.
For all submissions post a screenshot, what rom you are using, what kernal you are using, what you have your clock speed at, and your score. Also, to make sure we are all seeing your latest scores, feel free to post any higher scores as a new post that way it gets read.
ROM: Prime 1.3r2
Kernel: Blades' kernel
Clock Speed: 1.5GHz
Score: 4592
Yeah yeah, I know quadrant scores don't matter

Anyone compared scores between Froyo and Ginger on our cappy with quadrant advanced?
Is it trully more powerfull CPU in Nexus S or just more optimized DVM in Ginger for our CPU?
Its not fully possible since Quadrant does not render the 3d scores on Gingerbread. But if you search over at Android Central they did a Quadrant score for you to see using the Nexus S.
I am asking just about CPU scores.
If you just want CPU scores, why not compare using Linpack instead?
1. I seen never Nexus S linpack scores
2. Quadrant is more popular
I just got my Zoom and I have had other tablets, so Im not totally new to rooting/etc and Ive been reading the Overclock thread in development and my quadrant scores at 1GHZ is 1722 and at 1500 (setcpu) its 2211. In the thread, people report 22xx at stock 1GHz speed and arouns 28xx with the overclock.
Any ideas why my scores are much lower?
Thanks
I wouldn't worry about Quadrant scores, ever.
If the Xoom is fast at tasks, it's fast at tasks, the end.
Good point ... Ill have to check it out in a few games and see how it goes.
Thanks
I agree that benchmarks in general and Quadrant specifically aren't what matters, but my Xoom wifi got 1892. So, scores can be all over the place.
My Xoom scores over 3000 at 1500mhz on my Xoom... it means nothing.
an oc'ed archos 101 running on ext4 at 1200mhz can reach 2900. but it's real world performance is far from what the xoom can do... excluding video playback - the archos can do high profile 720p with ac3 5.1.
The stock score, was that before or after setcpu? If it was after, then it must be on the MIN/MAX settings and/or the governor settings you're using. Mine scores 2300+ stock as well.. I have the 3G verizon version..

The lower score was with SetCPU on the stock 1GHz, and my second score was with SetCPU at 1500. At the 1500 settings I seem to be scoring what most do at stock, which is why I was curious.
Its quick overall, but to test a HEavy Flash Site I hit Disney.com with Dolphin and its a bit slow to load up, but I have to assume thats the Flash Issue.
I do love this Xoom (Wifi Version)

Try rebooting, running Quadrant from a fresh boot with nothing else running... also set the governor to 'Performance,' will likely boost your high score.
i am running infused 1.3.1 andon quadrant i would score 1500-1750 but on smartbench i would get 915-1015 on cpu and pretty close to 3000 on gpu , i have two questions, are those score from smart bench good and secondly which should i take more seriously quadrant or smart bench

if you buy the full version of quadrant you get more information, i am totally against the idea of just stacking scores like quadrant does. that being said smart benchmark attempts to make a simple compsite score that is more relevant than the otheres do using some kind of algorithm to balance the weight of each componant, i dont agree with that either.
if you want to benchmark to figure out what you have improved specifically then get antutu or pay for quadrant but never look at the cumulative scores, it is totally irrelevant.
if you want to see how the performance compare acording to an algorithm get smart benchmark
if you want to be impressed with the phone, run a 3d/opengl benchmark. or otherwise play some H.264 codec .mkv videos at 720p (1080p also works but at a lower bitrate and class, the 720 video would likely look better) then try the same video on an atrix and an inspire.
Before anyone chastises me: I know that quadrant scores can be manipulated, and shouldn't be relied on to determine if your setup is adequate. I'm talking about my own personal experiences here.
I've only had an android phone for a month or so (my Captivate), so I can't claim to be experienced with it. However, like I did when experimenting with Linux distros (a long, long time ago --- settled on Slackware), I've been playing with all the ROM's available for the Captivate.
Initially, it was to get a feel of the differences in the ROM's themselves and that mostly had to do with user interface. However, I soon figured out that some were faster than others 'native', and then I discovered the Quadrant Scores.
So, I started checking Quadrant scores with each ROM under similar conditions (Wifi on, only a couple of apps running, no overclocking, etc.). This is a really horrible addiction -- I keep thinking that maybe the next ROM, or the next kernel update will make the score better - even though I've noticed that a better Quadrant score doesn't necessarily have much bearing on the performance of the Captivate.
The result: I haven't stuck with a single ROM for two days running.
I seem to have settled down recently, but we'll see.
This is a tongue-in-cheek rant, incidentally...this whole experience has been addictive.
Hi . I made 2 quadrant tests : with eclair2.1 and cm7.1.0 . With eclair2.1 i get 800-900 pcts and with cm7.1.0 1600-1700 . I didn't overclock or other setting made .
Yeah, but that's what I mean - a small change can result in better scores, so where do you stop?
So far, on my Captivate, I've found that I get the best scores with
1) Fasty III - 2500+
2) Dlev 4.2 (Talon) - 2250+ (Dlev 5 doesn't like my Captivate)
3) Biffmod (CM7 based) - 2000+
4) Miui 1.10 + Glitch kernel - 1900+
Here's the issue: I love the UI of Miui - it seems to have the best themes available and everything works smoothly. The stock browser on Fasty III is laggy, for example. The games I play work best on Miui and Fasty.
So, the Quadrant scores don't necessarily have any 'real world' meaning. Most of the lagfixed kernels seem to take care of the I/O rates, improving the scores.
Still, I can't stop trying to find a 'better' setup.
PM'ed reinbeau to close.
Quadrant scores mean nothing, I can enter a single code and get over 3000 on a stock RFS partitioned ROM with no OC/UV (Which is incredible) but it means nothing because the Quadrant app is outdated and wasn't meant for the Hummingbird processor, nor Gingerbread on the phones, or dual core.
seems the higher my score gets the worse my phone runs.
Its all about balance

Dont know if this should be here or in General...
I have only something around 1100 on the default test. Very poor result. Kernel Hydracore, newest JB stock. What can be wrong ? Someone has an idea ?
What are you running it on?
If this version of 3d Mark is anything like the PC version, the tests won't necessarily give you a 'real world' result.
3D Mark doesn't scale down effects to suit devices, it will throw the full array of OpenGL v2 effects to give a baseline score.
Unless you've got a top of the range powerful device, expect low scores.
This benchmark software is bloated to say the least, there are better benchmarkers that will do a great job giving scores for bragging rights, AnTuTu is a reliable one with good features in it's free version.
