I've searched the forum and people have asked this question in different sections without a solution being posted.
So my question is, if we use the method in the following thread,

should we be able to add facebook sync back to our gingerbread devices?
I don't know how to disassemble and re-compile apks otherwise I would have tried it and posted that... since people share ideas and work on this forum, I thought I'd post my idea and see if someone can make it work.

Ive looked around, and I cant find a solution. I installed 888's fire something latest rom, available in the rom section for this phone, i dont think this is specific to this rom. anyway, in the accounts folder, I only have text message and email, I cannot add an mms account. I would appreciate a tutorial on how to do this or some leads, hopefully a cab. furthest i got was this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=267753 but i couldnt do anything with it. Help appreciated.
I'm pretty sure this would be ROM specific, ask in the FIRE thread. As I know my current setup has SMS/MMS (and if you have arcsoft, one of each)
Wait ... you're saying you've created a ROM and one of the features is no MMS? Where can I download it?

Hi, I have a Fuze, and im in the search for the best ROM , im testing a few roms (3 already in 2 days) and in 2 of the previous roms i've tested the phone let me use/setup my Hotmail account on the MAIL tab of TF3D, but the current ROM doesnt. Also i think i had a Messenger on both of the other roms but this one doesnt, so im thinking it has to do something with that.
Do you guys know anything about this?
what do i need, and were do i find it.

Some Roms include the things that are missing in other Roms. Most of the time you can find the missing cab files in the thread that you got the Rom from. The one that does the windows live is called windowslive....cab

I have searched all over for the answer, and haven't been able to find it. I looked at about 12 different walkthroughs and none mentioned any problem like this. I did everything I was supposed to do, but it won't load the image.

ok- fixed it. it was formatted wrong. apparently only fat32 works- would have been helpful to have included that in future or current tutorials.

I've flashed the Oxygen Gingerbread ROM to my Desire and as near perfect to what I want as it is I've got a couple of questions and you lot seem like a helpful bunch!
First of all, can I remove the 02 boot animation screen I get before my replacement boot animation launches? Not a big issue really, but I'd prefer it not to be there.
Secondly, is there a way to remove the GMail app, I prefer the generic Email app and don't see the point in having both.
I have searched around on Google and on here, however if this has been asked and answered else where please let me know where and I'll have a read.
Also, if any further details are needed please tell me which so I can provide them - still learning so don't know what else could be required.

I would like to know whether one could copy the Samsung app SmartStay to another non-Samsung device. Did someone already tried this?

If I would like to code this myself, do you see any big issues? Of course, I need a phone with a front camera but are there other prerequisites? Has anyone already coded something like this?
