My Cloud - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

As a couple of co-workers were getting invites to Google Music, I went home to try out the UNLIMITED Asus Cloud that I had read about.
Downloaded the PC Suit.
It said I needed to download the Webstorage app from the market place so I did.
After running it I realized this app is for a phone?
I then thought there was suppose to be some Cloud program on my Asus Transformer. I found that and started that up. When I went into My Stuff? it just had a button to Launch My WebStorage. But this just opened up the Same phone app I just download. I then uninstalled that app and tried it again, but it still Launched the same program (which is for a phone). I never do see my music like it shows here

I went back to my computer and found where to upload music. But it shows I only have 2gb? I thought this was unlimited? (for the first year)
After uploading some Music. I went back onto my Asus Transformer. Went to the Music Folder and clicked a Mp3 File. I had the Option to VIEW, Download, Delete and something else. I was like I don't want to download it, thats the point of putting it in the cloud. So I lets see how I view a MP3 file. Which then Opens some basic Music Player (which again looks like it should be on a phone). After about 30-40 seconds of buffer it started to play but did sound good.
Did I not set up the MyCloud right? Am I missing something?

Yes and no. There has been a thread discussing this issue (click!). I think the problem is that you did not register from your Transformer but from your PC or on a website. I used the TF to setup the account and got unlimited space for a year. You should contact ASUS customer support and after you give them your serial#/MAC address they should be able to help you!

i have Question about Asus My cloud music player can i play music from my cloud with another music app ? because asus app really basic and weak

IMdb Mobile

Hello.
i looking for apps to add to my phone, and i really want an imdb mobile app.
After searching i have came to the conclusion that non exists (please correct me if im wrong).
i then found this site
Code:
http://nolanbrown.com/imdb
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
it redirects if you use IE , using chrome it appears to work.
after reading the about bit
"Since being released January 5, 2008, IMDb Mobile has been raved about as one of the best web applications available for the iPhone. It was voted a "Staff Pick" by Apple, made Apple's Most Popular page in Entertainment and in a mere 15 days, IMDb Mobile received more then 20,000 visitors."
it appears it was designed for iphone viewing and i guess the creator set it up to check for the browser and have a blacklist (it appears his blog not updated in some time, maybe chrome wasnt out when the he had the blacklist??? i dunno only guessing) so i assume changing the user agent on one of my mobile browser would make this site visible (unless anyone has a quicker solution).
i dont really want to change the user agent everytime so anyone know a imdb mobile app / quicker solution to use that site.
thank you for your time.
larry.
+1 for a IMDB Mobile App...would definitely be a nice app to have!
I would also like to get one...
Just as an alternative solution you can use the ebook-reader TomeRaider3, as they have the imdb database as a free download on their site (approx. 158mb) to read offline
Will give it a try...but I think an online app would be even better
Nevertheless thanks for your share!
Ascenca
i used to use it
i thought it was rather poor though, and if i remember correctly it is quite limited in what information it gives you.
the proper site works not too bad though.
Just downloaded this for my HD2 its an upgrade of a slightly older one and runs great once you go into the settings and assign a video player for the trailers to play on. In my case i navigated to windows/ windows media player

Offline RSS/Podcast Reader

Hello all!
I have been lucky enough to finally get my Nexus One. Although my purchasing process was riddled with issues and lacked any support. I got the phone and it seems to be free of defects, and I am loving it even more than I thought I would.
I am moving from a Windows Mobile phone (FINALLY), and I had an app called Newsbreak which I used all the time. It would basically download all my feeds for offline viewing/listening including audio/video podcasts, and use the SD card for storage.
I have been looking for an equivalent on android and I appear to be left wanting. Most RSS reader appear to be online only, don't seem to support downloading podcasts, or requires Google Reader (sorry not wanting to give my Google Account password).
Does anyone know of a good offline RSS reader?
I have tried Newsrob (needs Google Reader), Listen (no offline?) and I am currently reviewing BlueRSS. I like BlueRSS, but I see no option to store on the SD card nor how to download the podcast or website for offline viewing. Since BlueRSS says it does this, I am not sure if I am missing something or it is just not able to do what I require.
If I need to I will design my own, but this is the only thing keeping me from using the N1 full time.
Thanks!
Check out Doggcatcher (no idea why they chose that name). Here's the feature list:
http://www.snoggdoggler.com/FeatureOverview
BeyondPod is a good solution as well. I use it for audio/video.
You can't beat Newsrob for RSS integration with GReader though. You can just create a new google account and export all your feeds and than use that exclusively for Newsrob.

DoggCatcher looks like ti will work and I will check out BeyondPod. I did not find these before since they appear to be paid apps, and I just moved my SIM over so it was hiding them from me before.
Wish there was a free one though. Maybe that will be my first Andriod project.
I really don't like Google Reader. Its convenient, but giving my login information to an app is just not safe. If there was a Google one I might try it, but they seems to want to force people to be online. Why use bandwidth so irresponsibly? Just don't make sense.
Thanks all!

Its in beta stages but I bought it a few hours ago. It works great for downloading from your dropbox account and most uploads have worked very well so far except some .jpg images. First app of its kind for dropbox and I love it well worth the 2 bucks!
This is tempting. I know Dropbox has an official app on the way, but who knows how long that will take!
Is there a big advantage to using Dropbox over, say, Gmail? That's where I tend to stick files I want to get at from anywhere.
Dropbox has an unobtrusive program which you put on your PCs and it automagically keeps the Dropbox folder sync'd on those machines. (Without bogging things down or any effort involved, I might add.) Plus, you get a very nice web UI.
Sharing with other Dropbox users quite easy, and also allows sharing with the world via a public folder. It does some other stuff, too. I really don't see much overlap between Dropbox and Gmail. I love them both.
If anyone wants a referral code for some extra free space on dropbox, feel free to PM me.
This is just a thumbs up for Dropbox.
The Droidbox app works great on my Nexus! Well worth 2.00.
Dropbox is probably one of the best apps I've ever used period. Once installed, it just works. No intervention is required at all, and it really is set and forget software. Once it's running you don't even know it's there. The best!
i didn't find the iPhone app useful at all, but with Android I can see it being much much more useful with the actual ability to properly browse files. I'll wait till the official client though..
Why is`nt anyone mentioning that there`s no thumbnails, a bit useless if you cant see the picture you want, other than that its perfect

Way to bump a year old thread. Have you tried the official Dropbox app?
Well I`m pretty sure I have Dropbox, has the open box, so I take it from what your saying that it does have thumbnails?
Maybe I need an update
No, no thumbnails.
Well for it to be perfect, it does need it other than that I wont be using it, to many pictures...

Awesome Drop

New app just popped up, 'Awesome Drop'. You just open the app on your phone, then go to http://labs.dashwire.com/drop and put the access code from the page onto your phone and drop files right into your browser and they get transfered to your phone. No account, just simple file transfer wherever you are.

neat, thanks
useful if you don't have the usb cable with you
This can be used to send files I have to my friends with Android phones. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.
This is great, just hope the site is able to stay up from the strain of a lot of concurrent file transfers.
Yeah I've had this for a little while, it's handy for transferring small files, but I noticed it tends to choke/hang on files over 100 megs.
How?

it's a one way app, use 'websharing' or something like that if you want 2-way
Actually quite awesome.
I wish the reverse was possible though.
A tab that you could open and then drop files from a built in file exp. into the drop box.
Well,the only thing that stops me of using this "Awsome Drop" is the lack of Opera.
But that might be the lack of HTML5 support from Opera,rather then the app. and website creators fault thou..Even thou Opera 10.60 was a "giant step" towords "full" HTML 5
heres a video that i did on the application to give users visual on how easy this really is:
Hi agian!
I couldnt wait on Opera Software or the app website too like each other so I downloaded a firefox.paf.exe too the computer I was using yesterday.And it worked like a charm,the only thing Im woundering about is when the "prossesbar" at the website is finished the prossesbar in the app. isnt full.Does the prossesbar installed and running on the phone view an other prosses?Like total amount how many MiB Ive downloaded or how much I can download to my cell before its full?
Just use drop box.... and share folders with friends...

a little trick i've been using for a few weeks to enable listening to offline bbc radio shows
extremely easily. works for PC users with android, blackberry & ithings via Dropbox.
Radio Downloader allows you to subscribe and download any BBC iPlayer radio content or
RSS podcasts. Simply set the download target to the Dropbox folder and the content will be
available on your mobile device for download & offline listening.
links
Radio Downloader (pc only) | Dropbox Account (2.25gb free*) | Dropbox Apps
* - you'll get an extra 250mb on top of the standard 2gb cloud storage using this link.
since this is a multi-OS topic i guessed this is the best place to post.
That's a rather good idea
that's the same crap as using the BBC player to play the contents directly
if you are able to download stuff from dropbox account
might as well just download the show directly to your phone
why go through so much trouble to accomplish the same thing?

To my knowledge you can't save what you're listening to with the iplayer app (on phone or PC).
So for instance if I want to listen to the Now Show or the News Quiz, or even Any Answers, I can do so when I'm on the tube in London.
I've missed so many good programs simply because I'm not near a radio/computer at the time that they're on.
@AllGamer.
because this method allows you to play content offline & as far as i'm aware the iplayer doesn't allow you to download unencrypted content - or any at all on the android app.
