Android 3.1 will be able to resize widgets natively (though the app/widgets need to be programmed to be able to do so).
3.1 will come to the Transformer soon.
ADW or Launcher Pro allow scaled widgets and seem to cope with my transformer well.
I have used both and have just made a skin to blend with my theme using launcher pro.
Launcher Pro and ADW will get more widgets as they develop and will be made tablet friendly (already are?)
I am sure 3.1 will be nice but I don't think it will be as customisable as these extended launchers
It is frustrating that pulse does not scale better - it will come I am sure
This is what I have done with a couple of the widgets from Launcher Pro
The facebook and twitter widgets are nice too

Tried looking everywhere for this but cannot find it. Colorize widget exists but it says device not compatible !
Sorry, it appears the Dev took it down.

how do i add apps to the bottom?
To add shortcuts to the dock, press the app tray, then hit menu and go to edit. From there you can drag apps into whatever order you want and you can move up to three apps in to the dock.

Dock icons
How do you add the Phone, Contacts, etc. to the dock? All I have is options and I'm not sure what to do to get the other icons there. Thanks in advance.
*EDIT: Nevermind, I see. Like mentioned above this post, open the app drawer, press the menu button, and press edit to drag icons.
Post all your screenshots here. I want to see how people have set up their plays.
That will be hard since the phone has to be rooted?
Any idea on how to photograph a phone with the screen so it shows it?
If I'm not mistaken I remember that you can use the android SDK to take pictures.
It shouldn't be to hard when you get the hang of it.

The battery seems to take a little hit when using SPB compared to ADW, altho it's not very noticeable as the Battery kicks all kinds of ass. It easily blows away the battery life of my old Nexus S. It also runs completely smooth.

I like to keep it simple:
LP's 3 scrollable docks gives me quick access to 30 apps/functions, so my single homescreen stays neat and clean.
Top widget is Switchpro, clock/weather widget is Simi Clock.
Go Launcherx/FancyWidget/LOGgle/BatteryLife
Keeping it simple

Which app is your favorite weather app?
I'm always using either 1Weather or AccuWeather for Android, just wondering if I'm missing another good one.
Weather Underground is fantastic. Market Link
I have butiful Widgets, weather and I love this. By far the best $$ well spent.
Sent from my DROID
I'll have to check both of those out thanks. Do you see any impact with the widget on your battery?
GoWeather. It's accurate and has 2 nice themes, lucid pro and htc style.
My favorite is 1 weather
Mostly been using Beautiful Widgets, because anything that requires spending more than a few seconds to get the weather is wasting my time. Wish it were easier to get it to refresh, though.
I prefer the htc weather. It gives me vie best weather dates and is looking most beautiful...

Switched for Palmary Weather to BeWeather (can get it from getjar for free). Nicest looking widget. Great animations, very accurate.
Beweather here, you can use beautiful widgets with it as well. Has multiple widgets. Free at getjar.

+1 next to goweather this is the nicest looking widget ive seen so far. is that a live background?
I had been looking EVERYWHERE for a 5x1 or more size weather forecast widget for my Note.
And apparently, I'm an idiot. I'd uninstalled HD Widgets a few weeks ago only to discover today (after being informed by someone) that they do Note-friendly widget sizes, including weather forecast!
What about you guys?
Quite a few launchers allow you to resize widgets.
I resize widgets using ADW.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
Nova or Apex prettt much the same and both will give you ban option to resize widgets.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Android Pro Widgets are in 5 columns wide if you keep TW as your launcher.
I use ADW EX as launcher and still use Android Pro Widgets (paid version), I like them. The widgets are made by the developer of Launcher Pro.
Resizing widgets only makes them bigger, not the same as widgets created to natively show more information in higher size.
Like for example, I found plenty of 4x1 widgets that displayed only a 4day forecast, stretching them didn't magically increase that forecast to five days!
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
I use HD Widgets full screen 5x5 (you can resize it 4x5 without loss)and I have my launcher set to 6x5
