With my Magic 32B working very good
sounds great but how can i install this?
and which android version will i have?
is your phone rooted? if not, you will need to do so and apply the recovery that fabioccelho gave you in the first link, with that you can flash it that way.
all hero roms that are ready for everyday use are 1.5
there are some eclair hero's in the dream forum, but they are not quite there yet.
so i was on ebay looking for an HTC Magic. I found one that had the Hero ROM that was already installed. I emailed the guy and he said that the phone had no compatibility issues and it was working completely fine - the bluetooth, multi touch, the wi fi, camera etc, were all working correctly. I asked him how and he replied that it wasn't a "cooked" ROM. I'm new to this, so can someone explain? I thought all the roms for the HTC Magic Hero ROM all had their own issues and none of them were working 100% correctly. thanks in advance!
Hey there... just wanna ask you geeks here how hard is to port Android 2.2 to a 2.1 Device?!
i've just ordered the new aPad or gPad (G10) today with TeleChip and Android 2.1 onto...
also have the "old" 1.5 aPad with the RockChip, but no 3D acceleration and with no official support für 2.x !!
But theres already a quit big custom rom scene there...
but i think my question is better repealed here!
how hard is it to port 2.2 ??
what does i ned ?! Source of the 2.1 ?!
thx for any Help!
You can't port 2.2 to 2.1, you port it to the device

don't needs to be device specific... a generall statemate is allready more than i have now!
I think the point that is trying to be made is that you have a device. It happened to have come with 2.1 on it. It's not really a 2.1 device. It's just a device with 2.1 on it. You just need a kernel and device drivers that are compatible with 2.2 and your device. That's very much a summary though.
If I had to guess, you should be able to get most things working under 2.2 with the drivers from 2.1. However, I only have 1 device (a Droid Eris), so I have no experience with the devices that you mention.

i'm awar of that the device is "not a 2.1" device only... and it could be possible to get an official ROM in future.. but i wanna try to do it earlyer on myself!
so that is the point...
i saw this from HD2 Android Development...
there where firstly only 2.1 available..
but shortly after that there was a 2.2 Port too!
i pretty guess that they didn't have to rewrite the hole modules (drivers) the just edited somethin in the Nexus/Desire 2.2 File so to match the HD2
thx

Understood.
It's quite possible, I'm sure. There has not been an official 2.2 update for the Eris (and won't be), but there are several CM6 (2.2) ROMs out for it. The same for the Hero and probably several others.
I have a partially working AOSP (non-CM) 2.2 ROM, but have yet to get the audio to work. (I really like to hear the phone ring, so it's not quite usable yet.)
ok sounds good so far...
now the question is, whats the general process of gooing such a port on?
to get the system dump is not the problem... that should be done easily...

Just a general question here. Where did the Bravo ROM come from? The original post said it was a Chinese ROM (i think), but is it a new proprietary build like MIUI? Or is it a port of the Motorola Bravo 2.2 ROM to the XT720? Or something else entirely? Anyone know the history?

I don't have a lot of the details but this is what I think I know: It's a port of 2.2.1 that Motorola released for the Motoroi XT720 that's developed on a Chinese message board. I don't think it is related to the Bravo phone. The 2.2.1 Motorola released for Motoroi XT720 is very specialized for Korea, so it takes quite a bit of work to internationalize it. From what I understand WanHu and Bravo both came from Chinese message boards. Beyond that I don't know the lineage. Brianlili's done a great job and continues to do a great things with his ROM, IMHO. Dexter's old hijack is in there so it may have roots eons ago from his minimalist stock22korean.zip port (or possibly not). (Dexter initially worked off of the Motoroi XT720 ROM but hit a wall early on and switched to Milestone A853 as a base for his port)
Hi,
Can i ask how to do a swap on this bravo rom?
I have done swap on cm6.3 which was pretty straightforward. But bravo doesn't seem to support swap. I have tried fj 's boot.img boot5.img...
Thanks for the help.

Hi there.... Sorry if this post is not on its appropriate location. Also SOrry for my poor english.
Recently I have purchased a China made handset, Android platform, 1.3 GHz QuadCore , Mali 400, 1GB ROM and 4 GB RAM. it is running over Kitkat.
My previous phone was HTC One X, 4.2.2, and with HTC Sense 5.5.
I am in love with this HTC Sense. I know, without the HTC ROM, Sense cant be working (may be I am wrong).
Is there any way to put a HTC ROM along with HTC Sense on my new handset ?
Actually this set has been re branded as WALTON Primo GH3, so can't tell you the actual model of this one.
Please help....
Regards,
Shanchya
