Connecting to Win 7 via bluetooth - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone managed to connect their transformer to a win 7 machine?. Mine connects an pairs but that's it I can't do anything else with it either on the pc or the tablet. Am I doing something wrong??.

Mine connects and pairs but in order to receive files on the pc I have to click the 'receive files' option in the bluetooth popup. Which is pretty annoying when you want to transfer multiple files.

T-Mo HD2 failing to Bluetooth sync to Windows 7 Laptop

Ok guys, here is the scoop:
I just purchased a new laptop with the following relevant specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Integrated Broadcomm Bluetooth Adapter
Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1
I am using the standard (non-modified) T-Mobile HD2.
When I try to pair the two, there is an error on the laptop talking about how the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" driver did not install properly, but others did. I can use some functions of the bluetooth pairing such as going through the file system to the device and transferring files from the phone to the computer. However, Windows Mobile Device Center does not recognize the phone as "connected" even though the option to allow the phone to connect via bluetooth is selected.
Also, I can not go through my phone to "push" a file from the phone to the computer. Actually, any bluetooth related action fails if initiated through the phone.
I have searched for hours on this issue and can not seem to find a resolution that works anywhere on the internet.

How can I make Bluetooth connect to a PC?

I've tried to connect to my Win 7 x64 PC via Bluetooth without success.
The handset shows that it is paired as does the PC.
The Captivate rejects all Bluetooth attempts to connect to Kies (1.5.3.10093_81) or as a mass storage device according to the error message displayed in Windows. No reason is given for the rejection. There are no entries in the Windows event logs for this.
The Captivate connects to my car via Bluetooth automatically.
The Captivate connects to Kies via USB.
Is this a known issue? Is there a way to connect to a PC via Bluetooth?
Mine wouldnt pair to my PC until I unplugged my bluetooth dongle and plugged into a different USB port. After that, pairing was smooth and everything works. I doubt this is helpful but I figured I would share.
Also, I was connecting natively to Win7, not through Kies. Maybe it's just a Kies problem.
I tried it both ways, natively and through Kies.
Bluetooth is built into my PC and workss well for other devices.

File transfer from computer to phone through bluetooth?

Hey.
Is it possible to transfer a file through bluetooth from computer (computer has bluetooth) to phone?
Thanks.
Absolutely yes. I did file transfer to/from another phone and computer through bt.
I bought a Bluetooth dongle for this exact reason. While it does work, it is way too slow. Fastest transfer speed I've seen is a little over 120 KBps.
so how do I transfer a file from computer to phone, do I have to pair it?
Dependant on the software, there will be a "scan for new devices" button to press on the computer. You might need to make your phone discoverable and this is done via the Bluetooth settings menu on the phone. It will need pairing and then just select the file on PC and send it over.

Bluetooth and Windows 7

I know i should know how to do this but what's the trick to getting the TF300 to connect to my laptop over bluetooth?
When i connect the tablet i get "Windows was unable to install device driver" and in the device mangler it shows two entries for "bluetooth peripheral device" with a yellow exclamation mark.
My Acer A500 connects without any problems.
My TF300 is on .29 firmware and my laptop is running Windows 7 64-bit
i have 3 bluetooth headsets and none of them work with my windows 7 laptop,
it does recognize the headsets but just say that error (bluetooth peripheral device). never able to install driver
while the headsets work fine on my sister's ipod touch, my brother's ipad, but never work for windows 7
if anyone knows how to fix this issue please let me know
but how does your acer a500 connect with windows 7?
I just paired my transformer with my Windows 7 64 bit laptop via bluetooth without issues. Windows 7 also supports headphones (old Jabra 620's) and a
Creative 200 speaker. My laptop devices under bluetooth list my laptops. Radio BCM2046 and a Microsoft bluetooth enumerator.

Same here. No issues pairing Windows 7 64-bit. Of course I made sure my laptop had an internet connection so it could download and install the necessary drivers.

I have an internet connection and everything else i pair with it works... (headsets, my Photon, my A500) ..
Not something i NEED...just wondering if anyone had any ideas
Wasn't trying to be snarky before. Sometimes just have to start from beginning. Lenovo laptop, Win7/64-bit/SP1 current with all updates when I got the TF300. Literally just turned on BT and paired. Think I made tablet discoverable and found it on laptop.
I do run into problems from time to time with both wifi and BT configs. When things fail for whatever reason I end up deleting, rebooting and recreating. It is Microsoft afterall...

It connects alright and can share text messages only but is not willing to share any type of files either from phone to pc or from pc to phone. I have tried to unpair and re pair them, i have changed the destination folder, i have checked the boxes to allow transfer of files across firewall but still no good. Its not even showing the smart view mirroring on my pc. Can anyone help me with this, would really appreciate it. Thanks.
