Hey ,Dolphin browser HD v5 beta2 makes my phone the PC - Android Apps and Games

After using dolphin browser HD v5 beta1, I totally love this browser. It makes my phone smarter. Now I have updated to dolphin browser HD v5 beta2 which I get from their dolphin blog.
One world can express my feeling when I use dolphin---cool. In this version, the side bar changes a lot. I can check the add-ons, change themes and so on.. Some many things I can do in the sidebar. It’s terrific .The bottom is too small to show so many bookmarks unless open the whole bookmarks in another window. Additionally, the new tab’s UI has both the speed dial and the visited websites. So I can easily find the web I want to browser, which save me much time.
Oh I have to mention its damn fast speed. At least faster than other browsers in my phone.
Dude .If you like my sharing, please give me thanks.LOL

I like the new bookmarks bar. Not sure if there needs to be a search button there though.
Under quick menu, maybe remove Gesture and add downloads.
Is there any way to be able to customize the color behind the tabs? Thank you for allowing more than 8 tabs. Also how about long press tab area to reopen last closed tab.

I gave up miren browser for the beta two. Its fast.
Hijacked aospCMod Darkhorse GB Hero

surviveland thank you for this info
using it now and it's getting better and better.
i only wish it had the transparent button for tab switching (coz the add-on tab switching doesn't stay on the screen)

I have not tested it for downloading from sites like mediafire,filesonic,fileserver etc..
But the surfing the net part of this Browser is amazing. Turned my phone into a desktop.
Thanks.

Rycon33 there are 3 ways to switch the tab.
1. use gesture. sidebar--quick menu--Gesture-- New Gesture--Switch to left tab or right tab
2.setting- volume button action- switch tabs
3. as what you have said , use add-ons
I like use volume button to switch tabs or gesture.

Beta 2 crashes on me like Lindsay Lohan after rehab.

really? it works well on my phone maybe you should write to their customer service to have a test . [email protected] , they have quick reply.

Best and worst browsers.

Due to the lack of multi-touch the better browsers out there can be pretty limiting. So I wanted to share two Gems that I've found so far. Perhaps you'll like them too.
For the best

1) xScope (I use xScope GL (was the one from 1.6) and it works just as well in 2.1 without the whole "Trial" nonsense that xScope 6 likes to add to it.
With this you double tap, upon the second tap slide your finger right to zoom in and to the left to zoom out. This works, in my opinion, better than multi-touch zoom (no need for two hands~) and works really well.
It also has a quick menu where you can list your favorite sites and go from there. Browser is as fast or faster than those that are out there . And I mean, really. Who needs gestures?
2) Miui browser (Found this via xda's front page. If you don't check that often, do. The xda staff do an amazing job recommending kick-ass apps ^^)
For this one, it has the same type of "home" area like xScope and then some extra treats. The zoom works well too. Double tap to zoom in, double tap to zoom out. I just downloaded it a few days ago but it'll easily become my main browser. I'm still finding out neat things to do with it so it could get even better.
I should mention that miui is in beta as well as when you're adding your favorites sometimes they won't save right away. Exit and restart and they should be there. I've also found I can't remove the Music short-cut but >.>; Should work eventually (in an update?)
But yes, give them a try - you probably won't be disappointed. (Although some of you are married to skyfire - i'd say use it when you know you'll be visiting flash movies sites )
For the worst
1) Firefox 4 beta 2 -
Slowed my phone down to TAR. Really really bad. Looks nice though (albeit a bit too much of a clone of dolphin hd) but what it does to Xperia is well... enough to make me uninstall asap.
thank you for the recommendations. i just tried xscope and i have to say, im impressed haha. i tried dolphin browser and hated it. there was just too much going on. i love the simplicity of xscope and the zoom is rather intuitive
Miui translated is really good. I downloaded it a few days ago and it is the best browser i used so far..

Xscope is the sh*t. I ended up buying the full version (the demo graphic was really annoying).

"Simplicity" Mockup Browser

I havn't found a browser that I like 100%. I like Dolphin but I want something a little more clean/simple. Thats why, yesterday, I thought of making my own in photoshop (for now).
Let me know what you think.

So, that would be the main page. The three dots next to the Google logo would be a drop down menu for switching search engines and including others like Wikipedia, Wolfram-Alpha, Yahoo, ect. The icons at the bottom are from left to right: Home, Tabs (like when you do a home screen view on Sense/Launcher Pro/ADW/Go Launcher), Back/Front (Can be used on websites or tabs), Bookmarsk, Options.
The whole thing would also go into full screen mode and the top and bottom navigation bars would be brought up using the menu button (optional).
Again, very simple. At the bottom you have your main operations. Sort by (most viewed, alphabetical, ect.), Edit bookmark names/urls, and batch delete.
This is options menu. Options are seperated into three categories, Display, User and Misc.
I just realized that I forgot the enable/disable toggles (duh).
Anyway, this is pretty much my dream browser more or less. Im still working on some other things in photoshop.
Let me know what you guys think.
By the way, I got most of the icons from here...

I guess I would have to make my own if I actually developed this.
It's nice but i hate apps that doesn't use the native style of Android...why does everyone think that he needs to create an own UI?
Looks clean. I'd give it a try.

I'd definitely use it

Not sure what you mean by that. If I used the native style of Android wouldn't it be just like the stock browser? Therefore, it would be pointless in me making one?
Im by no means a professional UI designer so im probably misunderstanding what you are saying.
I do agree with you about apps that Android doesn't already have stock though.

Galaxy Browser is based on stock Browser on Android GingerBread. It also has many handy features. Check it out.
★ Support sidebar. Keep as simple as possible of the user interface. All menu items go to sidebar. You can slide when you need them.
★ Not like the stock browser, Galaxy Browser uses a light-gray style UI. Keep a good mood when you surfing the internet.
★ Quick action buttons in sidebar. Some handy buttons are put in sidebar, including switch in/out full screen and switch to previous/next tab.
★ Supports capture current screen. Share with your friends after you doing this.
Suggestion and feedback are very much appreciated. Please send email to [email protected].
Thanks for sharing. I will try.

Home page is all you need! You can easy, with a few clicks to add, edit or remove speed dials and bookmarks. Also grouping a few in one folder.
Day and night mode. You can use TEXT ONLY to reduce data usage, incognito mode, take a screenshot and a lot more.

Work great. It's not a big issue. When you kill task from holding the home button it's gone.

Transparent browser

I've tried many different browsers with greyscale, inverting, and night modes. But this browser is the first I've ever seen do a clear transparent version before. I've checked all my websites and they all look amazing.
If you like blacked out and clear apps I suggest you check it out.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.UCMobile.intl
Here is how I make mine look blacked out.
1: get a completely black image, picture, or screenshot.
2: in the browsers theme section set the image you want as the wallpaper.
3: set the background to transparent

Brilliant find, really. Thank you for the tip!
Thanks for the tip.
I've done limited testing so far (did not even figure out how to set trans bg yet...), but while first looking into this on the market, I noticed that there was a mini UC Browser as well. I ended up spending more time on it than their full one.
A couple observations on Mini:
- good UI, but I do have to press my menu soft button twice every time in order to get to the opened tabs icon...;
-less options but also less "clogware" (or just stuff I don't need really);
- night mode a bit "lightish" in shade, but very good since it doesn't affect (invert) pics as Lightning (a similar) browser would;
- use fewer processes/services and about 5 times less RAM than the full version (and app itself is 10x smaller);
- could find a setting to easily switch between desktop/mobile and it seems like page zooming is not really possible... But layout seems always pretty good;
- nice touches like: top/bottom quick btns, bw saving/compression, 3 file downloads at once, auto-reconnect/resume dl (although this is marketing talk cause some site do not allow pause or resume...);
- more to discover..
And hopefully, we'll be able to theme bgs and text colors a little... I'll look into this tomorrow; can't wait... hehe!
Thx again, cheers!
Does UC support flash by now ? Did one of you try UC sync available for chrome desktop to sync tabs .... ?
That's great I love this one
