[Q] System Recovery Mode on the Transformer? - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know if you can enter System Recovery Mode on the Transformer in a similar fashion as outlined in the second half of this article: How to Access Bootloader or System Recovery Mode. And please don't say press and hold the power button while holding down on the volume rocker, because I know that.

The recovery mode on the Transformer is severely limited. Only "Data Wipe" is available. Try going into recovery yourself.

[Q] APX Mode

I have tried to find something on TF101 APX mode but have turned out empty handed. I know that if you Hold down volume-up and power button then TF101 will go into APX mode (not to be confused with 'powered off').
So... I heard somewhere that this mode is useless as of now for the Transformer. Is this true? If not what can we do with it? (Rom flashing? Rooting?).
I have been told that pwr+vol down is APX Mode but that just goes to recovery and/or data wipe. When you hold pwr+vol up it appears to be powered off but when connected to a PC the computer tries to find drivers for "APX". So if Vol down is APX mode then what is Vol Up?
Apx mode is useless right now until we get the nvflash files

Indefinite Booting Stuck on Asus Logo

Hello!
After having ran Titanium Backup, I noticed a strange behaviour after booting so I went into Recovery Mode and tried to boot the recovery kernel (RCK option). Afterwards, the device's screen was frozen so I held the power button to restart the device. I tried to enter Recovery once more and chose the Wipe option. Seeing that the device's screen was still frozen, I held the power button once more and since then the device is stuck on the Asus logo.
Holding Power and Volume Down just reboots the device. Holding the Reset button (the little hole underneath the SD card slot) and Volume Up gets me in APX mode. Holding the normal power button reboots and gets be back on the Asus logo.
I have read similar threads of users having seemingly the same problem as me.
I would like to ask if there are any updates and if any solutions were found? The petition for having nvflash for Asus TF300T seemed to have been successful: androidroot.mobi/pages/guides/tegra3-guide-nvflash-jellybean/.
How should I proceed in repairing my tablet? Maybe the nvflash solution should work now but I lack the blob files. Anyone has them?
Thanks!

No access to fastboot or adb and no nvflash blobs, this is a hard brick ....
Sorry for the bad news. ....
Thx Josh
Can I use someone else's blob files to unbrick it with nvflash?

Nope. You need the ones specific to your device.
It's a bit like insurance. You need to take it out before you crash your car.
Same problem.....
Helló! Could you solved the problem? I have exactly the same problem! Please let me know if you have any advice! Thx

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to solve the problem yet. I am contacting Asus support and they suggested that I send my device to the RMA, repair center.

Updating TF101 to KitKat...not entering recovery mode

First let me say that I have been using google to look through this site for similar problems...as well as many other sites...but all the android forums use formats I'm not familiar with. I'm still learning about the site layouts and am searching and accept that this may be a common problem...if so, please forgive me asking.
I've got debugging mode turned on.
The tablet has been rooted.
I have the KatKiss 4.4.4 and gaps loaded on an SD card in the tablet.
When I go to try and get into recovery mode (power on + volume down, volume up within 5 seconds of boot) I get a loading screen and then what I describe as a dead android with an exclamation point above it.
If I hold the volume up button on boot the options I'm given are cold boot and a data wipe.
Is there something special that I'm missing to get the TF101 into recovery mode so I can update it 4.4.4 or later?

How to unbrick TF700t wit no RCK

I was smart enough to brick my TF700t.
The only thing I can get now is to the boot screen with the Asus logo and the device is unlock message.
I cant get into RCK mode with the volume down and power combination, My PC doesn't pick the TF700t with neither fastboot or ADB.
Any ideas how to proceed?
Try to see if you can get in by hitting the POWER and volume up...
