I shattered the glass that covers the camera. All it took was a little drop and it was over. I looked on ebay for a replacement but the seller wants $39. I think that is a little ridiculous. Does anyone know if I can contact LG about getting a new one or does anyone have/know of a source to procure one?

Yes, they will give you a replacement. I got one. They will only give you one through the life of the phone. I forget what number I called. I saw it on a thread at the LG site.
There is a post here by me where I asked if anyone was going in on an order of five. NJo one replied. I checked recently, they're still on backorder

I would just go and purchase the Mugen 4500mah extended battery since it comes with a battery cover and then you also get to benefit from the extra juice. I'm definitey gonna take the plunge when they get the new stock on june 6. The way I browse and play games the battery dies in about 4 hours.

I read a thread recently where someone had some probs w/ their back cover.. they called LG and LG shipped them one for free.. try that?
I was also in need of a back cover.. I contacted LG via customer service IM and she was more then happy to send me a new one free of charge.

I think mobiletechvideos.com may be where that video is. I do believe that he offers a service to replace it ... If you end up not being able to.
I think I may be jumping ship to either the atrix or the inspire. That is if I can get the wife to let me use her upgrade. The parts to replace are $125. I can get a new phone for close to that. Of well we'll see what happens

I see your logic but your not actually saving money doing that. Your just eating another upgrade and committing another line to att for another 2 years. Quick fix but more money long run.
I am aware I am not saving money but I get a new device, that while it may not be "better" it is newer. I know newer isn't better. And as far as committing to att for two more years they are the only carrier that I get service in my area. And my wife really doesn't care about the upgrade shes still happy with her razr and doesn't want to get anything new.

It could be $1.00 or $1000. It doesn't matter cause its out of stock.
cracked mine a few months back and got a screen from ebay and replaced it myself. its was about $60 and it even came with a kit for opening the phone. there's a thread somewhere on xda for disassembling the phone with pictures and stuff. pm me if you want more help.
I'm in the same boat as him and the need to change the glass. All the dissasemblies doesnt actually show how to separate the glass from the lcd.

Not sure if you can separate the glass from the lcd. All the replacements I saw available come with screen+digitizer as an assembled unit already. Pretty sure you have to replace the whole thing not just glass only.
Prices really raised huh.... got mine for $60 a few months ago. Maybe supplies is getting short.
I bought just the glass itself and yes you can buy it by itself either with the at&t or without it. Now i just to need to see how to separate i was told the two are held together by adhesive

It probably doesn't work that way. If you already paid for it, and you didn't agree with them before of that, I doubt they would give you some money. If you didn't bought it yet, you can agree with them to do a review, and then you would get a discount (I'm just interpreting the email they sent to me).

It was good, but I like the horizontal flip I posted about above. I can answer a call without opening the case (shake to answer type software) and overall that type has less of a footprint than this one.
I ordered this, but it hasn't come in. We will see what it looks like when it gets here. It was pretty cheap.

Those covers ar nice but if you ever use NFC, Android beam, or S-Beam it blocks those fuctions. Cant penetrate through the aluminum, but if you dont use it, they always improve on the phones looks.
