Is there an app or option somewhere to make music play mono? I only use one bud at work and it would be nice to hear all the music. I Googled and only came up with dead threads with no answers.
On iPhone/iPod there was an option in accessibility for that. For the deaf and such. Just wondering if I overlooked it something.
Thanks!

Some headphones/earphones have a switch on the cord that allows you to switch between mono and stereo.

Not what I'm looking for. That requires a purchase of new hardware. I want a software solution.

Hello XDA I came across this on a app and would like to share. If this is illegal of any kind or breaking rules mod feel free to close. This is Pandora but you get unlimited skips. Don't update.

Works great as far as skips. Is it not supposed to bring all your stations or preferences over? Under preferences it says I'm signed in (I assume using the old app info) but I dont' have any stations or anything. Not a big deal just seeing if I'm the only one.
It brought all my stations over , I had to uninstall the one I had before this one would install.

Works great for me. I tested it out with 10 skips and it also brought over all my stations. Thanks
Thanks Alot! It works great, I was looking for something similar on android.
Excellent post! Works great!

Love it! I never understood limiting skips. Hours of usage on free? Sure. But skips? C'mon
Oh yeah
Forgot to post that it brought all my stations when I logged in, and the home screen widget works a treat. I followed others' advice and uninstalled my existing version before installing this version.
Thank you AT&T for official sideloading! (My apologies for those who don't have it yet. Sideload Wonder should do it though!)
Yeah I understand limited skips are annoying. It should bring all your stations over.

It works perfectly! It also brought all of my stations over. I didn't even have Pandora downloaded before so I can't comment on whether it was because I had it unistalled. But thanks!
Keep ib mind that for pandora a skip counts as well toward their licensing. It costs the same to start a song and then skip. Limiting skips is how they keep the advertising down and most use the app for free.

I just recently noticed that my g2x plays songs perfectly through the music player without any distortion but if i apply a mp3 as a ringtone it becomes distorted when i receive calls. i know its not just the file because i have tried multiple songs. anyone else have this problem? any help is appreciated thanks!
I've noticed the same thing. In fact, I have to lower the volume of my ringtone below maximum, or it is weird sounding. But when I play the same mp3 through Music player, I can be full volume without any distortion.
Anyone know of a fix?

i have the same issue as well... if you're using cm7 there is dsp manager so you might want to play around with the settings. I haven't been able to yet, but you might give that a shot.
just fyi i have this problem on both stock and cm7
Same problem here. It almost sounds like the woofer is blown or something. My 10 year old Nokia has better speakers than my G2X.

And it doesn't seem to be a function of whether the speaker sucks or not...because when you play the same mp3 file through any media player, it sounds fine. But when a call is coming in at the same time that the mp3 is being played, it's distorted. It's almost as if the phone is using all of it's resources for the phone call, and only allocating a fraction of what it would normally allow to play the mp3.
I think you are on to something here. I'm surprised there is no fix to this problem yet. Does it not bother everyone else?

Have you found any fix for this, guys?
This phone is REALLY getting annoying... BSOD everytime, distorted ringtone, slow loading and freezes... Duh, wish I waited more and took the SGS2...
Anyone know if it's just mp3's as ringtones that are affected? How about ogg's? If noone else has tried, I"ll try later on.
I am trying to find an app that can find most recent artist songs. I want to be able to download the mp3 on my SD card. What do you reccommend?

Music Wizard is the only thing I use. So far, at least what I look for, I have not been able to NOT find a song!! GREAT APP!!
Hi I was wondering if there was any way to listen to music through the ear speaker, like where you listen to people in phone convos when you put your phone to your ear. Nothing permanent but where one can toggle between normal rear speaker and the ear speaker. Thanks!

If I am not mistaken you can use Tasker application from the Play store.
It allows you to create rules for Bluetooth for indevidual settings

Hey there, you can use the earpiece app from play store which is a very lightweight app. Although it says android 4.3 and above are not supported, it worked perfect for my android 5.0 powered intex aqua power plus
Anyone use this app with their N5? O can't get any song to buffer and play.
On my HTC One (4.3) works flawlessly.
Any help appreciated.

I'm an idiot. Found out prob is in setting need to go to song not playing and switch to V2.
On a side note i use Monster DNA over ear head phones. The HTC One is 2X louder than the N5. But for casual listening is just fine.
May need external amp for using with loud speakers. Not sure.
