I bought my Magician on eBay and it is the best phone I have ever had. The phone is amazing. But of course 2 months have passed and I am dying to improve the phone. The Brand is a DOPOD 818, which is the HTC Magician or iMate JAM.
I see everyone here has the ROM 1.06, mine is 1.01.00WWE with a ROM Date of 10/21/04/ I am sure I should be upgrading my ROM for the enhancements but I am not sure how or where to go.
Everyone says to go to Club iMate but unfortunately my IMEI is registered through DOPOD and not iMate. The DOPOD site does not look like it has an updated ROM.
Can I use a generic ROM? Where can I get one? I am in the USA using T-Mobile, if that helps.
Please let me know what I should do.

you will need to do a lot of readings before upgrading... and if your device doesn't have any problems then don't upgrade... the latest version from imate is really bad.. i have tried it and went back the old one which 1.03.00 ... anyways go to this ftp ftp://xda:[email protected]/Magician/
and you will all the latest ROMs....

Since two weeks, i'm looking for Vodafone ROM FR for touch pro, but i still never found it.
That's why i'm still waiting for flashing my Touch Pro, if there any problem and phone must be send to Shop, i can't reflash it with Vodafone ROM.
So, maybe someone have already Dump it ?

It's the original OS ROM from an SFR (Vodafone France) HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) purchased in France in October, 2008.

Thank you very much. I bought one from Orange France Telecom. which has the same Build No. but Rom No. is 1.90.73.4
I have problem with TOMTOM, error: "Not enough memory available." Do you tried TOMTOM with your SFR Touch Pro? If yes, do you have any problem?

Sorry, I don't use TomTom with this phone. I don't actually use the SFR ROM, either. At the moment I'm using monx's exellent ROMeOS 1.22 ROM with his AZERTY CAB, along with the 1.02.25.28 radio. They both work very well.
Just a question... this the really Original SFR ROM ?
I mean there's no application, theme or others changes compared to the original when you buy you're phone ?
Otherwise, thanks a lot ! I expected for this since a long time.

I don't think so. You can change the keyboard layout in the registry after flashing.

I need help to do my HTC Toch PRO ROM update.
My current version is 5.05.04.xx (Europe zone/UMTS version/Vodafone blocked).
I`m searching a lot of time for a one, WORKING version for my phone, but without any response.
Please help me to install a new WM 6.5 based of ROM version, if it of course is possible.

I have got the WWE one but its WM6 wonder if there is a ^.1 rom?
i think there is no wm6.1 official rom for htc vox. (someone coorect me if im wrong). you can download any wm6.1 or wm6.5 abundance here which more stable and interesting than old wierd shipped rom
