Hi What?

I don't understand what he is trying to say either .
Dalvik cache should be recreated on every reboot if you delete it.
Are you sure you only cleared the dalvik cache?

Ufff i guess he said to flash
I got my phone back from the evil hands of dalvik cache
Thank you odin!

Dalvik cache wiped, now a lot of FC

I've cleaned my dalvik cache because I had some issues with an app (sipdroid) that prevented the phone to boot.
Cleaning the cache fixed the problem, but now almost everything App goes in FC.
I've read that I may need to clean /data/boot-cache via adb, but I don't have this folder.
Samsung spica and Samdroid/2.1 here.
Try to do an Factory reset?
Yup, Hard Reset or if all else fails...the dreaded Reflash.
something Ive done over 5 times.
Ugh
reboot your phone then it'll be okay

[Q] MMS Keeps Resending Please HELP!

I sent an MMS to about 15 people that initially failed. Now for some reason it resends the MMS every week or so to the 15 people. I have a rooted inspire and I am running Inspired Ace Rom.
I have completely wiped my device a few times and deleted the entire contence of my SDCard but this d*mn thing keeps resending the same picture message to everyone. Is there a lower level format that will wipe everything out so this thing is purged from my phone, because clockwork's Recovery Wipe Data/Factory Reset does not get rid of this.
Side note, Also when I use the Wipe Data/Factory Reset and reflash the zipped rom, It doesnt get rid of everything because the custom background I downloaded still stays
I just reformated again, this time I did the factory restore/data wipe, cache wipe, then I went into advanced and wiped the davilk cache. After that I went into mounts and unmounted everything and wiped them all in there including the system.
I then reflashed a new copy of Inspired ACE I downloaded from the zip and when I turned the phone back on it still had the custom background I had downloaded.... Is there no way to truly wipe a phone?
You have wiped the phone. If you have synced to google, it will load your background image when you reset the phone.

Okay that makes sense now. I thought I was losing my mind.... Thanks for the reply... hopefully it will solve the text issue now too.
And here I thought only Microsoft was that insidious: fdisk, dump 2 partitions, create single new partition, format partition, install XP, see ALL of my "favorites" survived the process.

Stuck at boot screen after clearing dalvik cache

I cleared my dalvik cache in an attempt to fix an error with installing an app on the appstore not working and when I rebooted now it's stuck at the Cyanogenmod 7 boot animation. So I tried pulling the battery and then deleting the cache partition and the dalvik cache again and rebooted but it's still stuck at the boot animation. It's been like this for 20+ minutes so I assume something is wrong.
Please help me, I haven't done a backup in a while and I don't want to lose all my data!
Don't stress.
You've probably fixed this already, but just for those who stumble upon this in the future, here is my experience and solution.
I did the same thing and took the battery out and the memory card and the sim card on the third go. I waited a few minutes and then put everything back together. Turned it on and then after a longer while than usual it loaded. Be patient when it reboots. I think it does take its time when it loads after a wipe. Hope this helps.
Perhaps try clearing cache and dalvik again. Worked for me when I was stuck at the kernel boot screen

Random Reboots

My Galaxy 7 tab plus just started random rebooting for new reason. I can
turn in on and usually around 30 mins or so it will reboot. I won't even touch it or start an app. It just reboots. I removed everthing from the andriod market and it still reboots.
Anyone else having this issue? Wifi is on, GPS is off
It also happened to me, if you have recovery modified execute a wipe cache partition, and wipe dalvick cache ,or if you continue to have problems making a wipe date/factory reset.

damn and blast!!!!!!!!! :(

I was just putting some songs onto the phone before heading out and I couldn't play anything (already saved and new tunes) so figured there must be a block somewhere so went into Twrp and wiped cache.
I waited about 30 minutes (!!!) but it was still stuck on 'wiping' and nothing was happening so I had no option but to do a reset (power button/volume).
The phone rebooted but something's gone wrong and I seem to of lost everything? When I connect the phone to comp all I see is 'internal storage' but nothing else (see screenshot).
I am thinking of factory image reset but I really don't want to lose my files.
Any help would be appreciated.
If you click to open the drive, is there any files? Your phone still boots into Android just fine?
I also did notice that wiping dalvik and cache on Twrp takes a long time!
