Can you post screenshots of the launcher? I think we'd all like to have an idea of how it looks before we download it.
screen shots
attach the screenshots.
So what, exactly, is special about this launcher?
I like the concept. Great for users migrating from the iPhone, or those that want a simple interface. I downloaded it from the market last week, and have been playing around with it.
It places all your applications on a series of home (application) screens when first installed. You are then able to add up to 3 widget screens, which are placed to the left of the application screens. You can re-arrange your applications by grouping them into folders. These folders as well as your applications can be placed anywhere other than the widget screens, in any order. It doesn't have an apps drawer and so your wallpaper is visible at all times.
heyy dude!! I think itz too simple... i think an app drawer wid 3D wd b gud... N sum custom icons wid gud transition effects wd b gr8!!
Very nice.
Having an iPhone, this looks and feel just like it. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the clues.
Can someone change the layout to fit the Wildfire's screen?
Meh. The ui is boring and ugly lol.

I tried vlauncher the other day, from the Market. What it does, it does well. I would like to see it do more. Here are my two suggestions:
1. Allow shortcuts and bookmarks on the Widget pages. In the standard Android launcher, is very convenient to get to battery use or a weather bookmark with one press of an icon on the screen.
2. In your settings, have an entry for the column and row sizes. On the 7 inch screen of my Nook Color I would like more than 4 columns and 4 rows of icons on each screen.
If you add these two features I think I could use vlauncher every day.
For those of you that likes to use Regina 3D Launcher, these are few wallpapers that I mod and been using on my evo , I want to give credit to "zandog". To get the best you need to use desktop visualizer.
Let me know what you guys think.
1- Download Regina 3D Launcher & Desktop Visualizer from the market
2- Download the attachments to your SD card
This is how is going to work: From Regina launcher hit menu and select to change the wallpaper, select the one you like the most, after that press the screen and select android widgets
use desktop visualizer 1x1 SS and place on top of each icon, select the clear icon from the attachments, do the same for each of the icons, select action by selecting the application that you want to use, clear the label and for touch effect select press OK, do this for each icon on every wallpaper, hope you guys like it.

Beautiful. I love it
Wow! Couldnt give a damn about wallpaper, but HOW do you get things laid out like this???!!!!???
Really nice looking.
Edit: and i have played with regina launcher, but still have NO idea how you did this.

Every time i try to set one of these as a wallpaper, it just makes a copy on my SD card. What am i doing wrong?
Edit: found out it is the android gallery that is the problem. Dl gallery 3d from the market and use that to apply the wallpaper.

I love the concept and the wallpapers, but when I drag the desktop visualizer over the icons, the trash folder pops up and I cannot drop the desktop visualizer over the icons
Just drop the icon from desktop v as close as you can it will work, does not need to be perfect on top. See if that work if not I send you a new one.

Thanks for the credit, but as I stated in my concept design for this UI, I was commissioned to design this UI for another ROM developer. Therefor it's got a legal copyright. The interface mapping is proprietary but I'm curious if you have you come up with your own code for mapping this interface or is it just the launcher?

Just the wallpaper with out any mapping, we good to go as long the graphics are use as a wallpaper like the way is post here, thanks Zandog.
I'm underwhelmed with the selection and quality of the icons and wallpapers available on the Market. I've tried google and searching here, but it seems like everything visual is made by developers, not artists or graphic designers.
I use ADW EX launcher with icon packs from "Tha Icon" and wallpapers downloaded from Zedge App
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA App
I also use zedge for wallpapers and ringtones but I use icon packs found on DroidPirate.com.
+1 for Zedge.
You can also use the free app "Wallpaper Set and Save" available in the marketplace. I save pics from Flickr and other sources then use the app to set it as the current wallpaper!

Is there any way to use the icons from droidpirate with Go Launcher?
EDIT: Nvm. I see Go Launcher allows you to choose any pic from your sd card.
EDIT EDIT: It seems like Go Launcher isn't showing transparent pixels from PNG files.
DroidPirate sometimes recommends the use of metamorph. Don't use it. It doesn't play nice with the Charge.

Launcher is LauncherPro Plus (With "plus" you can adjust the Widgets)
The bar with the controls are "Extended Controls"
The clock/weather are "Beautiful Widget" adjust from 2x4 to 2x3
The battery are "Beautiful Battery" adjust from 2x2 to 2x1
Very nice: Launcherpro Plus and the feature with Unread Mail, SMS and Calls (right bar)
thats all
Only problem is: the grey notification bar. Any idea to switch the bar to black ???
As I am a guy who likes simple things, I wanted to have an ergonomic design. GO Launcher EX is configured to show/hide the dock and status bars.
Of course the pics look worse than the real deal on the phone since the camera used for screen capture is the 1.3 MP one.
Launcher:
GO Launcher EX
Widgets:
Advanced Clock Widget Pro
GO Switch
GO Calendar
GO Search
GO Launcher EX theme:
UR
GO Widgets theme:
Transparency
GO Launcher operation settings:
Home key action: Show/Hide dock bar
Glide up: Show preview (aka app drawer)
Glide down: Show/Hide status bar
As the previous images were deleted by ImageShack (don't know why really), I have decided to re-upload them. But first of all, change my homescreen
Nice, eh? It can't get any smoother than this.
Edit: From GO Launcher EX I have the same settings as above. Pressing the home button (the small house) I can show/hide dock bar and with glide down action I can show/hide status(notification) bar.

Android 2.3.5 (build 1.52.401.1)
Kernel 2.6.35.10
Radio 47.23.35.3033
Homescreen, Russian Keyboard
Keeping it at stock appearance, though "Start", "Browsers" and "Camera" icons bring up scrollable menus with a list of apps. Very convenient for a limited by size screen! Achieved with Folder Organizer.
By the way if anyone wants to have a dual hardware keyboard layout with English and Russian despite the phone was never officially imported to Russia - the modified Russian Keyboard .apk is attached. Install, go to settings / language and input / select Russian Keyboard. In the application options select the hardware keyboard for Acer e130; then exit app, press and hold on any space for typing and select input method from the pop-up square - Russian Keyboard. The fast switch between EN/RU by pressing Shift+Space.
The laser-made Russian layout for this apk is as on the attached photo (the ю is at M key, the ё at R - there was no space to draw them on the small buttons...)
Facebook button remapped to Odnoklassniki on short press and to Vkontakte on long press with Fakebook app (Root required)
Use TimeZone Fixer to fix auto time for Russia after Medvedev's cancellation of DST (Root required).

Also how did you get Andy on the board for the lock screen?

I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread on this already!
I posted this in another thread, but mine looks like this. Not terribly interesting apart from the Widget.
For anyone that is interested, I'm using ADW Launcher, the Widget is a Beautiful Widget with an opacity setting of 30% I think. I also hide the icon labels, as it makes it a lot cleaner! I set the Columns to 7 and the Rows to 6 to get as many icons on the screen as I could without it looking too crowded.
The widgets used are as follows:
Widget Type: Beautiful SuperClock 4x3 (Tablet) - I stretched it out so it fits the screen better
Super Clock Skin: honeyclock
Weather Skin: FlatWhite
What are you using for screen cap?

I'm using the Dalvik Debug Monitoring Service (ddms.bat) in the tools directory of the Android SDK install. You must also have the correct drivers installed, which if you've rooted your KF, you should already have.
Once it's detected and connected to your device, you can go to Device > Screen Capture.

I downloaded an app called ScreenshotUX, something like that. There used to be a bunch of screenshot apps in the market, what happened? Are they getting the boot from Google or something?

just went in to the file structure and replaced the image with my own. the wallpaper is from a poster who put up some alternate wallpapers to use instead of the defaults. i just pasted it 21 times in a folder and renamed them to the default names, so it never changes. in reality it's changing every time, it changes to the same pic each time. here's the pic. cant remember the link where i got it.

noticed you have the same weather widget bug, also happens to the pandora widget. something causes it to stretch like that, returns to normal after reset. you know what causes it and if there's a fix?
This is my homescreen as of now.
I really liked the wood bookshelf style of the kindle, so I decided to make wallpapers that would give that same look to other launchers (I'm using ADW).
I also attached a zipped folder with them, hope you guys enjoy.
Comments are always appreciated

Here you go.
mclock, fancy widgets, and stock wallpapers
Probably a stupid question but you guys that are using different launchers (which in this thread is everyone it seems lol) are you rooted or not? I'm going to side-install a few launchers and had no plans on rooting at this point BUT if it helps the alternate launchers work better I mine as well. Thanks for input and again, sorry if it's a dumb questions.
I'm gonna take a wild guess and say most of us are rooted simply because a lot of ppl seem to have several apps only found on the Android market. Of course you can sideload them without the market, but I think that instead of going through all that trouble most ppl have just rooted and installed the market (especially since it's so easy to do and also allows you to take screenshots).
