Does the Gingerbread keyboard have the same prediction ability thats present in swiftkey (which is excellent bar the layout, gingerbread size and layout is much superior). And if not is there any way if combining the two features?

I'm using energy's ROM and it has an ugly black background keyboard, i've searched and found no cab or how to restore the original grey background one.
I don't want to use another keyboard like slideit because i'm typing in greeklish (greek with english characters) so anyone can guide me or provide the original keyboard for htchd2?

so why is it that when i use a theme, the android keyboard is themed correctly while the google keyboard isn't themed completely? is there a difference between the two keyboards?
Cause the themes are only designed to change the Android keyboard. Any other keyboard won't be affected by theme changes.

Both keyboards can be themed. All depends on what the theme supports.

I'm trying to help a remote client change her layout because she has an international (QWERTZ) BKB50 and needs a US English layout.
We were able to change the layout for the physical keyboard from Default to US English in the tablet settings but it hasn't affected the layout while typing. The strange thing is while typing with the physical keyboard, she has no keyboard notification in the notification bar, which apparently should be there. Can anyone change the effective layout of their physical keyboard? Or confirm that there's no notification about the keyboard layout when not using the onscreen keyboard?
