I have flashed this several times and every time, I do not get the 6 bar signal meter. I lose the history icons between "verizon wireless" and "ongoing" when I swipe down on the notification tab.
Thanks, for any help.
Did you flash it using Rom Manager? I had the same thing happen to me from using rom manager. I used RM to boot into recovery then applied the zip from there. And it workd perfect. Try and do it like that and see if that helps.
Did you still download through RM? Thanks.
No you download it manually through your phone or on PC and transfer it to the SD card and then flash it in recovery.
Do I rename the file or anything special?
Sent from my Rooted Thunderbolt using Tapatalk.
I also recommend flashing via recovery; it solved identical issues for me. As for the name, there's no need to rename the zip file provided that you're using recovery - it let's you navigate the sdcard file structure to locate your file. Just be sure to do a full wipe of data, cache, and dalvick before flashing (and backup your phone prior to that, of course).

Did you have to do anything special, or just reinstalled it?
+1 on ROM manager. Every time I have flashed using it, it has only had partial features.

Good to know. I've heard a lot of people saying that, but have yet to see any issues myself. I suppose I should stop using it for now just to be on the safe side. Glad you got everything working.
I am guessing this applies to the NTE version also. Standard rename to P05 and flash in hboot or install via rom manager? (and what about that radio they were pushing in the thread?)
I didn't rename just booted into recovery and flashed it through there, I also was missing features when I flashed Liquid Roms but now that I know how else to get them, I will be trying out the new GBs soon
i will never use rom manager to install again after it screwed up big time the other day but im currently running remix with no problems.

I have tried to flash CM7 and i keep getting the status 7 error. i have tried to look around and find a solution but cant find a definite answer. I have completely wiped everything using full wipe and tried to flash it. I am currently running leedroid. I have tried to flash coredroid but it sticks on the boot screen. Am i doing anything wrong?
Need more info. Like are u using Rom manager to flash or what?

Are you using clockwork to flash? If so badge sure you unplug your usb cable before booting into recovery.I've seen that cause issues before.

If you are wiping everything what version of CWM are you using?
i am using Rom manager with CWM 3.0.2.5. I do no have it plugged in to anything and i have wiped everthing thing. the version of CM7 i am using is encore the stable mod
I would update CWM to newest and then try again.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I would recommend downloading the zip file for cm7. If u already have, delete it and redownload it. Place it on your SD card and make sure you eject the media from windows before physically removing it to avoid corruption. Boot into recovery, wipe, install from zip, and reboot

I have the latest cwm i just flashed it and it didnt upgrade. Ill try the redownloading again but ive done that a few times already ive even tried a nightly mod to see if that would work. It almost seems as if leesdroid is the only one i can get to work

http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=ace
The Inspire 4G/Desire HD is code named Ace.
There are download links to the stable builds and the nightly builds.
IMHO though the nightly builds have always been relatively stable.
Check out the DHD development thread.

Ok. So ever since I've had this device it's been rooted and as such, i've tried a number of roms. The problem is whenever I start with a rom I really enjoy (currently the stock one... go figure) then i do a nandroid back up.. try a new one.. to find some glaring shortcoming i just have to have (a2dp) and try to restore my nandroid. On my G2 this process was absolutely seamless!
What happens is i restore nandroid... but it doesn't restore my apps... all the space is definitely gone.. like they're in teh file system and cards... but they don't show up in teh launcher and my wallpaper is back to stock... just as if i had a stock device.
Any ideas?

So far... none of them have worked. however... they all happen to be backups of the stock rom.. don't think I've ever tried restoring any other rom.

Are you initiating the backups thru rom manager or directly from recovery? If you're initiating them from rom manager try booting directly into recovery and then making a backup.
I'm using 3.0.2.7 (the one that rom manager tells me to use). but i always backup while booting directly into CWRM because as we all know... Rom Manager doesn't see the external SD but CWRM does.
I would reflash CWM again.
Do a Nandroid, put it in the sd card and try restoring again.

I think your problem is that you're using rom manager. Try doing it the real way (nvflash).
Rom manager is great on phones in which it doesn't use fakeflash, but I would stay away from the program on phones in which it utilizes fakeflash.

Always a relief to get something working lol. Glad you got it working.
Im trying to download a rom so I can flash it to my wifes phone. I have the zipfolder on my laptop but for some reason when I put it on the SD card it doesn't show when I go into recovery. I flashed my phone by downloading the link straight to my phone. Im trying on hers but I keep getting download failed content is not supported on the phone. I even tried to download just a pic online and the download failed. Am I missing a setting on the phone or what? I downloaded astro and any file download because I read that it may fix it but it doesn't. Thanks for yalls help.

Make sure you're putting it on the internal SD. Not sure that you can access the external in recovery.
As for the download failed, try using a different browser such as dolphin browser HD. I used to run into similar problems downloading stuff with the stock browser, but never with dolphin.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda premium
Thanks for the reply. I just tried dolphin-browser and download failed due to not enough memory. The phone was factory reset just before so all the SD cards and internal storage are fresh. And when I tried from the computer I pit it in the space that pops up when I select to view the phones files. External SD is listed so I know it not going on there. I could work around that like I did on my phone if I could figure out why hers won't download anything (besides market apps, it downloads them fine) its aggravating to say the least.

I always download androzip my phone always needs a program that will open zips to download a zip file from the web androzip or rom manager will work

I have rom manager already and tried astro and any file download. So far nothing. It won't even downloaded a picture.

OK so now I downloaded miui 1.12.23 to the phone, wide cache and data, installed from SD, rebooted, bootlooped at Samsung logo, pulled battery back to recovery, installed again, bootloops again. When I installed from SD the zip was under downloads. Is that the problem? Should I be able to get back to stock rooted from recovery, or do I have to Odin back? Thanks guys. I swear im about ready to give up on this phone!

OK so I pull the battery, use three button till Samsung logo comes up and let go. Should it be blue recovery? Then format system and reflash from SD?

Couldn't get recovery back so I used Odin. Maybe her phone just won't take. Or more than likely im just retarded.
E* I did get hers to take an old version of infused and tried to flash miui over that like I did mine from cw but it stuck on Samsung, I pulled batter tried to reflash, hung on logo again but couldn't get back to recovery that time.
Sent from my Infuse 4g running MIUI v1.12.23
I'm not sure what's going on maybe a bad download of miui try redownloading it there is a newer update so.maybe try the new one
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda premium
Should I have to rename the zip or just leave it as shorticut on the end of it?
E* Nm I'm a bonehead. I was sending the zip to desktop and it was making it a shortcut. I finally woke the hell up and moved it straight from the folder to the SD. Trial and error I guess. Thanks for your patience.

I was going to post a quick reply in the actual thread, but since I'm a new member you know.... But I flashed Scott's cleanROM 4.1 earlier BEFORE he recommended using twrp recovery instead of cwm. Although I have no problems, would it be wise to download the zip file, and flash it using cwm? Would it just replace itself with the new recovery file? Would I need to delete anything after? I'm still new to root/flashing, so just want to be cautious. Thanks to any replies in advance.
Are you wanting to switch from cwm to TWRP? I just flashed the zip for twrp using cwm and it worked fine. Go for it.

Worked just fine! Flashed twrp, wiped everything, and installed a fresh cleanROM 4.1 and goodies... Everything works flawlessly! And I gotta day, cleanrom Dev edition along with over clock and forced dual core mod turns my one X into a damn monster lol. Thanks for the help guys, I'm impressed with such quick answers.

I did this as well and was up an running for a few hours. I plugged my phone in to transfer some files and now my SD card is wiped clean. I don't keep anything too important there but this is the second time this has happened. Once with CWM and now with TWRP.

There's a few threads about this and it had happened to me as well both with cwm and twrp but luckily not my entire sd card just random stuff. At this time no one seems to have a definitive answer to what causes it. I personally think it has something to do with the way the mount and un-mount of the sd card is being handled but its just a guess I have no proof that this is the case

I keep losing map data and nothing else, its very frustrating downloading a 500mb file multiple times a week. Oddly it never happened on stock rom rooted or not.
I think it has more to do with roms than anything else. I change tunes and movies out daily and never lost files on stock rom. I might return to stock for a week to test.
My wife's phone is rooted and has been running BAMF for a long time. Well, it's slow as nuts right now and she asked me to redo it. I've been using Jellyblur on my phone, she liked it, and asked that i install that. Well, i can't for the life of me get the phone to boot with a new rom. Multiple downloads, and even downloaded about 3 different roms and it won't get past the white HTC screen.
I can reload my backup I made and it will start up just fine, but it just DOES NOT want to boot with a new rom.
I'm doing full wipes and I even copied the file I installed on my phone to her phone and tried installing that. No go.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

You likely need to update the Recovery.
I'm guessing it has some older form of Clockwork Mod Recovery on it.
You should update to 4ext.
That link is the app that you use as an interface for while in Android OS and it also installs the Recovery.
Install it while in Bamf, load the app and install recovery for HTC Thunderbolt.
Then try updating the rom, good luck!
If you end up liking it, support the dev and buy the full version of the controller app.
The recovery is free and so is the app I linked you however...
Recovery was indeed out of date. Thanks a million ..wouldn't have thought of that!
