[Q] best way to buy

was going to wait until the keyboard dock model was out but as shipping dates are being pushed back i might take the plunge.Whats the score with getting the dock after its released

No trouble at all it seems, but only for a short period.
You follow the instructions given here.
I did this yesterday whilst I was on the train (just got my Transformer!) and was sent an invoice yesterday afternoon, which I duly paid by bank transfer. The keyboard docks should be sent out sometime in May, and the total cost was £54.98p.

Is there ANY chance to order this tablet from UK to germany? We don't even have a release date yet and I don't care about the different charger. But there's no shop that's shipping outside UK, at least not one that offers the Transformer!?
Can anyone from UK pleaase post me a link from a UK online shop that ships the Transformer to Germany/mainland Europe?

Could you buy one of the ones on Ebay?
I was thinking about buying a couple of extra ones and selling them on ebay for those who can't get one yet.

I would greatly appreciate that! All the devices that are on ebay right now ship from Taiwan, meaning a lot of taxes for shipping to Europe.
So if you sell the tablet for a reasonable price I'd definitely buy a device from you! Docking station from UK is worthless for me anyway, since it has the wrong layout (QWERTY instead of QWERTZ). Just PM me your ebay link if you sell via ebay, that would be awesome! Just ordered a device

They are supposed to be shipping as stock comes in, from the middle of May.

gave me a choice of delivery dates earliest was next thursday and they have charged for delivery so i take it they will meet the order or i will cancel

Import Transformer to Europe?

Hi,
Does somebody have some advice or experience with importing a Transformer to Europe (Austria) ?
Because Retail Price in the USA is only 399$ and here in Europe retail price of 32 (16 not availible) is 499€ (712 USD).
Would like to here any suggestions.

If you want it with a Dock/Keyboard you need to figure out where the umlaut characters are lika ä and ö.

Amazon usually has good pricing. I'd say avoid buying from USA, since shipping, warranty problems and the potencial import taxes makes it too troublesome and may rise the price considerably.

Pre-orders and availability in germany and austria

Does anyone know where it's best to buy the Asus Transformer Infinity gold including the keyboard with german or austrian student bonus.
with student bonus I only found it on notebooksbilliger.de for 700 € (only pre-order)
Yet available in Austria (only the grey):

If the Infinity will be available at kmcomputer.de it will be the cheapest I know of.
It is 577€ there for everyone.

I'll be travelling to Köln the first weekend in August. If kmcomputer.de get their 64GB Gold + Dock in stock next week I'll be very tempted to order it and have it delivered to my friend living over there and pick it up when I arrive. €693 is a great price!
I was disappointed when the grey tablet I ordered from Komplett.ie had a problem with the screen. I opted to return it for a full refund rather than replacement. Knocking €30 off the price and the opportunity to check out a Gold one would almost convince me to try again and hopefully second time around the screen will be flawless!

but when you think about purchasing with dock and you are a student then it's better to buy on notebooksbilliger.de

You can also fetch it from the store after ordering at k&m. You can reach it easily by train.
I'm doing the same as I live in Köln/Cologne.

American adaptor suitable for Australia?

Hi All,
I'm considering purchasing the tf700 from America and importing to Australia (as they are going to flog it off here for $999AUD!
The only thing I need to confirm before purchasing is if the adaptor will be suitable for Australia (don't want a surge).
Does the info on the (American) power pack indicate it handles 110-240v ?

I'm pretty sure I read that all Aussie tabs will come with the Key Board dock also, still priced high but thats something to consider plus 32/64 at that price?

Ordered mine through ebay last night. It is winging it's way here via DHL as we speak. Paid 838 AUD (including express shipping) for 64GB with dock (a. grey colour). Expect it to arrive here on Monday next. When you add the $10 for an adaptor that still comes in $140 cheaper and at least a week earlier than the Oz release.

Would I be able to get a 32GB no dock from the same supplier?

check out ebay mate. Theres a few offering 32GB no dock for well under 500. Express shipping (cause who wants to wait weeks once you have committed the money) costs about 60. the ususal precautions re: checking out sellers reputation apply, obviously.

If there are lurkers here who don't own an Infinity yet, B&H Photo has a deal just until 12/31 - Pad is $444 with free shipping, and if you also buy the keyboard at the same time (it is back ordered right now, but you can order it), the total is $544. You will need to pay shipping on the keyboard, my shipping was under $6.
I have received my Infinity, am waiting on the keyboard. Running CleanROM Inheritence and very happy with both the Infinity and the rom.
I am not associated with B&H in any way.
P.S. Apparently in Champagne Gold only.

Nice find! It's good to see the infinity coming down to a more realistic and reasonably price.

I paid 730€ I had to pay probably 25€ in gas too, because I had to exchange factory defective models.

Im in Australia and bought the infinity from BH Photo website. I can highly recommend them i paid $
683 AUD with dock and had it within 5 days. That price included shipping as well. It is still retailing for about 800 dollars here.
Flashed it with cleanrom 3.0.4 inheritance and working like a charm
