When you have installed a MIUI version later then 1.4.1, wipe caches and dalvik is enough, for all others FULL Wipe is needed.

General hints and tipps:
- uncheck Hi-Res Graphics in Launcher Settings for better performance
- try to stay above 30mb on phone memory --> better use apps2sd or app2ext for your apps
- do not apply any theme you can find on miui.com or via Theme-app...some are not made for newest version and might cause lagging or malfunction on your phone --> so be careful with themes
- for Gaming and Navigation, you should enlarge your Overclocking up to 1000 mhz

I'm a bit skeptical because of the normal MIUI experience is not that great on Milestone.
Is this ROM faster than the other MIUI? Anyway i'm flashing it in 10'. Will check to see how it performs.

yeah let us know.. i'm curious if it'd be faster or not 'cause the ROM from miuiandroid.com is sometimes.. awfully slow, FCing all the time etc.

I'm finally making the jump to your ROM, I've been using the last Lalit release- just can't take the issues from that ROM an more - I'm assuming it's the same I just need to wipe dalvik?

It is indeed faster than the other MIUI rom. Applications and tasks overall are snappier and you can feel it. The interface also receives a bit of aesthetic bump (some icon changes) and overall it is a usable rom
If you are used to the speed of the fastest ROMs out there (FroyoMod 2.7.0 and Telus Lite) then this ROM is not for you. Even though it is faster than the MIUI rom, it is nowhere near the level of Froyomod. I tried it for a while and had to give up. Battery drain is normal, on the level of CM7 and other gingerbread releases (which is not spectacular, really)
Im back to FroyoMod for now thanks for the ROM anyway

There is an urgent Workaround for ALL of you doing or have done a FullWipe before applying my ROM - no prob for people coming from an earlier MIUI-version and just wiping caches and dalvik:
--> several Apps are not showing up in launcher (the ones usually in Tool-Folder), though they are properly installed (calculator, monitor, superuser).
You have to do following workaround to prevent these apps from not showing up:
- boot to OR
- FullWipe
- first apply the following MIUI-ROM (it's my English version of MIUI 1.5.20): http://www.multiupload.com/57EZS6DHRR
- reboot (this is important step!!!)
- boot back to Recovery
- Wipe caches and dalvik
- Apply multilang version MIUI 1.5.20 form startpost
- reboot
--> All apps mentioned above will show up properly in Tool-Folder
I don't know, why this happens in multilang version, but I will dig into it.

translation is not the work I do - it's fantasic job of xavierjohn22 and his team. They do not offer Persian language at the moment...sorry

It because XJ uses a custom default launcher workspace on his multilang pack.
You should decomplile both Launcher2.apk from your base rom and multilang pack and replace "res/xml/default_workspace.xml" on the langpack with the one from the base rom. then build tha apk again and it'll be OK.
May be (I'm not sure) replacing the file without decompiling from one APK to the other could work, but I'm not sure.
EDIT: If there's a "/res/xml-en" folder in the base rom you should use this one and copy to "/res/xml" on the langpack (so it'll be default and not localized)
BTW, if the 4-way reboot you are including in your rom is the one I compile @miuiandroid credit and link to my post will be appreciated.

Rom Installation Steps:
- Enter recovery (press volume down then - keeping it pressed - press power button) and make all the WIPES available, with the procedure you like the most.

- THOSE WHO DOWNLOADED OLD APP2SD, do continue to install the file without wipe after ROM installation.
- After installation procedure is over, reboot your phone (first reboot will take some time to complete (like 5mins?), do nothing meanwhile and do not off your phone).

You can simply replace htc and android frameworks in your rom.

Thnx for your question.
First: I saw, G2x has got many MIUI port i don't think about i port my ROM to it.
But some user simple copy my ROM and port to G2x, i wasn't happy for that.
Whitehawkx made very good guide for porting, i think i will do that.
What different between other MIUI port than me?
- Pls check About ROM section in first post
- i don't simple COPY apps from MIUI releases, all app in my ROM recompiled and optimized (for faster loading, and better responsive) with my tweaks and language files
- i got permissions for some exlusive language files, example MIUI.cz
- i working on better Camera, i don't just copy app from CM7, i imported driver too, and i increased guality
- MIUI use little bit old build from CM7, i working importing drivers from CM7.2
- i always search on XDA for new tweaks, and if working good on my and other test device i will implement it and i will optimize it for 2x
Better than other MIUI port? I don't think so, but answer very easy.
Just try it, and you will see it, use version what best for you.

If you were already under MIUI
-Format the SD in all but the recovery

-You remove the battery, wait 5 seconds and you press the power button to discharge, return the battery and you're in recovery.
You flash your rom-in Full Wipe.
Or RAZ, first installation
KPE with full re-partition (with Odin v1.85) started a liver you turn out.
KPU alone in PDA (Odin) started a liver you turn out.

In recovery, zip install from sdcard / choose zip from sdcard / MluI-Phonandroid_V3 / Yes.
In aroma you made custom and full wipe, let everything that is checked and finished installation.
MAJ MIUI
For an upgrade MIUI without losing your data simply do a backup and Format all except the SD in recovery.
-Make a Backup of MluI in the "My Tools" avoid parameres wifi and super user.
-In the recovery, Mount and storage, all except format sdcard.
-When installing to Full Wipe in Aroma.
There will not be restored with MIUI backup

Multi Languepack is in it, it's whit all KPQ/KPU... Langue's
I don't install it, i have Miui 10.2 gingerbread 2.3.7, and im happy.
In Miui v4 the Kamera don't work, but i used it, and i don't have a other Kamera, Dhiru work on the Kamera, and when he release Alpha 3, than Frankenstain Update Miui v4 and than i flash v.4 by Frankenstain, and i test this rom, after it.
I can go back whit a Nandroid Backup
I have buyed the Odys Xelio whit ICs and 1,2Ghz 512MB Ram, for 99€ oO It's cooming to me at the 10.4.12, it's a 7" Tablet whit HDMI.
Oh...will check tomorrow. Can't download it right now
You used Frankensteins MIUI v4b2 ? If yes, did you encounter these bugs
1. No notification at all on Incoming calls but other party can hear your phone ringing ?
2. Can't disconnect a dialled call ?

And that's not Language Pack but Language 'Patch' and it can be entirely different thing.
I use Miui 10.2 it's the Gingerbread Miui.
Miui 2.3.23 whit Android 2.3.7 and Beats Audio Modification.
Only Video Recording work in the Gingerbread version not.
On Monday Frankenstain Update the Gingerbread Version to Miui 2.3.30 add Batteryfix in the Rom and Google Talk.
I wait for buggyfixes by ICS Roms, i must have a Photo Kamera.
And Wifi is buggy.

Instructions
Start by doing a full system backup from the Recovery: Select Backup & Restore and Backup (By default, your backup will name as the date)
The Rom is AROMA wip and reboot, you just have to install
1 - Have installed the firmware XXKPE (full version = wipe = data loss) and KPU
2 - Root KPU with CF Universal Root> http://www.mediafire.com/?dqxt5cultx7pxx4.
3 - Install the Rom in recovery (install zip from sdcard).
4 - Wait around 1 minutes to enter code pin.
5 - Add network wifi and connect, Version lower last 2.6.1 or use backup wifi
6 - Reboot recovery and patch Multi lang zip
7 - Enjoy ...

- Camera video > Videocam illusion works
- Media Playback H/W Support (Use S/W with MX Player)
Known Bug
- Detection of wifi partial (manually add a name network)
- Problem Known older V4.3 > use a backup wifi

I am stuck at Samsung Boot logo after flashing it, it keeps on running in loop there, I tried this method XXKPE(clean) -> XXKPU -> Cf root provided in post -> Pandora from SD card, any solutions?

BRILLIANT WORK buddy !!!
Very Nice ROM
No major bugs, just a few little Force Closes. A little lag is there but that I think can be solved
a) by upgrading to latest CM9 build
b) by tweaking kernel
Overall a beautiful ROM.
A suggestion:
Plz create a lite edition(100-120MB) with no extras. Thanks !

To solve problem with Messaging Force Close do this
1. Go to Settings>Complete Settings>Apps>All>Messaging>Clear Data (IT WILL REMOVE ALL YOUR MESSAGES . TAKE BACKUP FIRST)
2. Download the attached Mms.apk and replace it in /System/app with Root Explorer and match the Permissions. Permissions will look like this

3. Reboot

Also in this version you cant create Calendar entries without Google Account but it was possible with last version. I have attached files and the procedure is same as for Messaging.
Now looking for solution of Package Installer Force Close.....

Right here is the first startup of the red LED and the phone boots up to 2 times ... it's natural.

is this rom based on custom kernel or we have flash kernel separately?
Is every thing working good in this rom (tethering camera etc)?
And one suggestion Yes it is your rom you can have whatever apps on it but kindly dont add 3rd party apps like Apex and Es Friends who uses it will be happy but guys like me always like pure MIUI experience.If our friends need they can install it separately and its easy too.But if you add it in your rom it became system app so removing a system app is not easy as installing a app.Once again its just a suggestion you can cook the rom as you wish.Really thanks for the rom.

Thank For the miui rom .can u add the media audio effects .this is main draw back in miui .cm9 and cm10 having this feature that is cm9 and cm 10 watch the movie and hearing music is unbeatable sound .so can u please add this feature in u miui v4 ics Rom .

I wanna see:
1) Smoothness of MIUI launcher, and speed with "HD Graphics" and "Scrolling Wallpaper" enabled.
2) Which is the Camera app installed in this ROM.
3) Its speed to launch a game.
4) MIUI Browser' s smoothness and speed.

Most Miui builds are given names like Wiui OR JIUI , why don't you call your flavour SIUI?
