HTC Clip will be releasing a pay and go version soon, so id sit tight and get that especially if its only 1 or 2 phones your doing as you can top it up any time. Also gold card creations are free with it

Try asking someone who has already an XTC Clip or take a look @ XTC Clips around the World

I bought mine from the official site. Delivery to UK was ridiculously quick 2 days via Fedex! Fairly sure they were the cheapest too... €100 including delivery. Highly recommended if you can't find someone on the XTC around the world thread.
You should have a look at fonefunshop for PAYG xtc clips.

Nothing personal but this does sound a bit fishy to me. Why don't you list them on eBay - that way there is a system that helps to provide some credibility to your claim.
this is most likely a scam. the unit is not out yet and no one would have that many proto units or have access to production units yet,

Not many I guess..since Desire S will be exclusively available to Telstra subscribers..and it's not being released yet in Australia
You might get a better chance if you posted in other forums. Simply because you don't get a reply here doesn't mean there isn't one. XTC Clips are used for a wide range of HTC devices, and the owners of one would probably not be reading this forum since there is a good chance they use a different HTC device.
in china,some sellers can get your device S-OFF by a specific SIM.we generally call it "white card"for its coulor on surface.

Spoke to HTC support today regarding this software release to unlock the bootloader.
The guy on the phone was pretty honest with me & said don’t expect it any time soon. They’ve released a software update recently & they need to wait & fix any bugs that may come out of that, once that’s finished, those changes will be added to the next software update (which will include the unlock). He advised, this could be a while.
Anyone know of anyone who provides XTC Clip service in the South Wales area?
Im a bit dubious about doing this as I’ve only just got the phone… What you guys think?

As someone who went the XTC route myself, I've never looked back since , but at the same time, I'm not going to advise you to do it....it's whether you're willing to take the risk....and it is a risk, worst case scenario can you afford a new device if you encounter a fatal hardware failure during year one after you've XTC'd it and have no means of warranty?

It appears that progress has been made recently with regards the software only S-OFF for the IS see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1115210 Although still no release date. But, I somehow reckon that they'll achieve this before HTC manages to roll out an OTA unlock for us!

Well buying a new phone isnt really a problem, not sure if I wanna spend the next year wondering whether my phones gonna go pop or not mind! Especially if it dies on me whilst I actually need it, which in my line of work could be quite tragic!

Now, this is very interesting. Isn't the IS the same as the DS? Think I'm just gonna wait for this! Yeah your right, I dont think HTC will be releasing anything anytime soon. Not a good thing considering I'm probably gonna be getting a Sensation when that gets released.
