[Q] Cannot install anything from Market after burning CoreDroid HD GB 2.3.3 V6.5 - HTC Inspire 4G

After installing "CoreDroid HD GB 2.3.3 V6.5" everything seems like it's working fine, except the I can't install anything from the market. I can start the Market app, select an app, click install, Click OK, it will briefly dispay a download bar (a sec or so) and then the download bar dissapears and the app is not installed, no errors are being displayed, nothing. I tried to clead data & cache from for the Market, rebooted the device, tried another SD card, tried without an SD card. I'm out of ideas. Please help! ;-)

Did you try reflashing the ROM?
Before flashing a ROM, do the following:
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe delvik

If you would have done a search you would have seen the thread on this exact issue that was on the first page 3 days ago. Jesus you ppl are lazy.

have you tried it without booting up market after the cache and data wipes and waiting a few minutes after rebooting?
have you tried with both TI back up and with the applications settings screen(each seperately and exclusively)?

Didn't know vegan 4 was around .....
I am having somewhat the same problem. I was on CM6.1B4, all working ok but wanted to check out this vegan ROM since it is getting so much traction. I installed vegan beta 3. Tried the market fix, got the error, rebooted, waited over 5 mins, nothing. Tried this over and over.
I keep getting 'Network Error, please try again' in the market. Yes wifi is on and working, I can browse the web, download from the web. Once in a while get the market to show a couple apps and download them. But for the most part the market errors and/or is empty.
Here is the stuff I tried. I did a data/cache wipe on ROM install. I also tried a data/cache wipe 2 more times. I have tried the market fix over and over. Sometime I do not get the market error (the expected one). I tried the new market, with the market fix.
Someone please help, what am I doing wrong, why am I getting the network error. Thing is useless without the market. Gmail seems to have issues too downloading mail. This everything worked fine with CM6.1, does the wifi support 802.11b/g/n in vegan?
What are the exact steps from ROM install or data/cache wipe to get market up and running? And don't point me to the market fix, I wants steps prior to that....
You could just install Applanet... granted it only has like the top 10,000 android market apps... It essentially has everything and anything you would really want from the market. ..
Oh yeah and its free and no need to root..

I found this worked for me and might work for you too.
I goto the settings and select applications and then system
apps. I basically disable google service framework, market and
market update. I then use T. backup and look for google frame-
works and wip the data. I then try to run the market, it should
fail .. You do a complete shutdown and restart ... If you done
it correctly it should get the market working.

When you are wiping the cache for the market in the applications settings do you actually see the byte size for cache go to zero 0.00B? I had the same situation on one of my rebuilds - had to wipe and rebuild because the clear cache nor the clear data were actually clearing (i.e., showing zero).
I had the same issue, tried many many times, no error. it worked for me when I first logging to Google market first. Then, do the market fix..

[Q] Nexus S + CM7 - failed DL and Market

Hi, have 2 new Samsung nexus S (for myself and my wife), trying to install on both the CM7 after everything formated and cleaned and for the 3rd time after awhile of working (few minutes) the download from anywhere is failing - in the market every download sends an error that media process is failing and then the download is stuck (happening also in any download).
Totally weird since I've tried all of the clearance, format, SD card options and phone configurations. could be i have 2 faulty Nexus S? any one knows this error?
Thanks!

have you tried fixing permissions? in the terminal app on your phone(included in cm) type...
su(press enter)
fix_permissions(press enter)
also, if you have root explorer, delete the app files in /cache/download/

wiping cache doesnt wipe this. you got to manually delete those files if they are in that folder.
also..
go to main settings, applications, manage applications, all, download manager, clear data/cache.
yes i know i've just mentioned what i did so far... seems like an hardware error but it is happening on 2 devices!, all downloads are failing, many programs error and sounds are not there when trying to chose rings / sms

stupid question.. have you tried redownloading the rom and gapps, then flashing them again?
yes
for 3 time. installing CM7, then GAPPS, then switching to Hebrew, working with the device for awhile then its beginning...
i'll try to track the things i do now to see what can cause it.
I think the problem could be compatibility, just found that my devices are I9023 model and not the I9020 that probably the roms are built on..
When booting into bootloader i see device id is I9020 while it should be I9023 as i see in the back of my my device (behind the battery) could be that causing problems?

Go to menu, settings, applications, manage applications and erase all data. Then try again. If that does not work uninstall the apk file you downloaded and try installing a new one from www.RCmix3D.blogspot.com

Here ya go ....
Download and flash the universal gapps package ...(for CM7)(top of page in the center )
just click the link ,and the file will download right to your device .
then boot to recovery and flash it just like the rom ....dun
Happy flashing ....g
ok i downloaded the link to my device, now once im in recovery mode, what do i select? do i install zip from sd card? or wipe data/factory reset or what. i just dont wanna **** anything up lol. sorry im a total noob to this.
and when i bring the gapps up in ROM manager, a window thats says " rom pre-installation comes up. and has 1. backup existing rom, 2.wipe data and cache, and 3. wipe dalvik cache. the third is the only one selected. do i need to change any of this?
Install zip from SD card, it could be in the download section of your SD card. That's where mine was.
I.didn't wipe anything when I did it and I turned out OK. But if you get bootloops, pull the battery, boot back into recovery and wipe everything then install.
Btw I'm still learning but its a fun learning experience.

Well it seems like my last post wasnt learned from so now I have to repost it again.
This is the second thread you have opened without searching even after I advised you to do so. a search for "google apps on cyanogen" took me to this
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version/Google_Apps
As per your posts your new so please spend a few hours reading up before doing anything like running a CM based rom as there are things that only effect CM based roms.
Use recovery to flash things not rom manager (didnt know that was even still used lol)
hell, you didnt even have to leave XDA to find the information....ya know, since its in the FIRST EFFING POST on the CM thread.....

Some problems with CyanogenMod 9 Milestone XT720 RC fjfalcon

First a BIG THANK YOU, FJ for the great job.
I have some problems with a build from 16.07.2012
First i can not move app to SD. I can move only 5-6 apps, and no more, so after i installed 10 apps my storage was going to full. /Sorry about my bad english/
I have tried to install Link2SD, but it says Link2sd is updating and did not have icon of it. I lost my PlayStore and have to reinstall the build. After that it was the same problem with a Link2SD and moving apps. My second partition is FAT 32, because the previous build and Link2SD did not work with ext partitions. I see that the second partition after moving 2-3 apps is empty.
When i click on Manage Apps it is closing and nothing happen. After 4-5 times of clicking it is opening.
The Cam is working well, Camcorder too.
I have a problem with a virtual keyboard. It shows for a while and is hidding.
I have tried many ways but still can not flash it. I am an amateur. but I can not ask in the official topic. My posts are not enough.
Can you give me detailed instructions please?

You must have OpenRecovery installed.
Just download the build and gapps. Copy in the Updates folder of OpenRecovery. Go into Recovery mode
Apply Update, search for the file that u have copied.
After Update do 3 Wipes
after that install gapps
Did you find any solution for missing apps problem?
I tried this build couple of times. Its pretty great. Sync with Google-account didnt work but biggest problem was that app thingie.
Everytime i rebooted the phone,(or it rebooted itself) after the CM9 booloader logo a box appears saying: "Updating Android. Optimizing apps xx/80".
When the phone finally starts, ALL my installed apps have vanished. Every time. And the are installed in the phone, not on sd.
Is this a common problem?

Yes it is! Beautiful and fast.. Well, loading of the main screen took 4-5seconds when sim-card was in the phone.
Except that, build was faster than Froyo I used. Hope it gets fixed soon.
Is the smoothness of this rom,the same as froyo??..i mean is it stable enough??..
Question for CM9

[Q] repeated "process failed" after reboot

I flashed back to stock, then flashed AntonX bare bones + Swype. No problems for a few months. BUT THEN I powered down the phone and changed my battery like normal, to a battery I've used many times, but this time as the phone rebooted, nothing was installed and I got numerous "process failed" messages. So I downloaded aLogCat and I'll try to upload it here real quick.
What do you mean nothing was installed?
well there are 9 broken links to applications that worked just fine minutes before. i would have thought that it was a problem with my phone's connection to the sdcard if it was JUST those 9, but the following apps were on the phone memory and they don't work anymore either Webroot Security, Visual Voicemail, Facebook, Slacker Radio, YouTube, Titanium Backup, GoogleDrive, OfficeSuite, GoogleMaps, and a partridge in a pear treeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! lol
Interesting. There's some garble in that log that I've never seen before. lol

oh, i mean the app worked, but you know how when your phone is booting and as soon as your desktop shows up, you can click a game that you have installed on your memory card, but it just says "this app is not installed" or some crap. then you wait and the media scanner finishes scanning your device, then it finishes scanning your memory card, then you click the same icon and it opens your game right up? that's what i meant by "not installed". all the icons in my games folder are android icons, not the icons of each individual game.

OH YEAH. i guess i forgot to tell you all that step. i tried to fix it myself by booting to recovery and flashing the zips again (ROM-sms-T959V-GB2.3.6-antsvx.1.1.3.zip THEN Swype-SGS4G-KJ6.zip) but this didn't help. although during the first zip's flash, i DID see it say "fixing permissions". then i swear my phone laughed at me and flipped me off!
If you already reflashed it it should have wiped cache/dalvik for you. Try this as a last ditch effort. Wipe cache/dalvik, wipe system. Reflash just the ROM without swype at first. Reboot. If it stops the FC's reboot recovery and flash the Swype zip. As long as you leave data alone you will have all your apps there. If that doesn't do it I'm out of ideas. Good luck
Oh and Swype beta 1.4 is much better then the older version. You should look into it if you like swype.
Swype has even changed the download process. No need to log in. Easy..
